Beauty of the African women
Not just the eyes lens
It's colour;
Her lips
Regal neck
Fragile collar bone...
Stunning
Breath taking
Beauty is in the eyes of thy beholder
If you let me
I'll hold you Aries
My eyes will be your mirror
Words can't express
A mere "I love you"
You are much more than I have heard
Much more than you see
A magnificent diamond indeed
Let me hold you ?
Comfort your cheek with my palm
Breaths intertwined
Bodies warmest
Tie me to your tongue my love
Nma my love
Aries black
An ancient beauty
Africa's black woman
The absolute love of my life
Rhythm to my words
Blues in my voice
Words made
Words to come
Words I want to say
Words can't describe you
Words can't show them

My Aries black
When I was young
For 25 years in my twenties, thirties and forties
I lived off grid up in the hills
And we hillbillies all thought ourselves
Superior to the valley dwellers.
Looking back now, I’m not exactly sure why,
But I think it had something to do
With having a better view and a harsher lifestyle.
Now I live in the valley
And I know it’s superior for a variety of reasons
Grid power, unlimited water and proximity to groceries
Being high on the list.
I see those hillbillies for what they are
Proud with their poverty and disadvantage
And inherent ignorance
Because I was one once,
And know what it’s like to have nothing else.
Somehow the world is easily reduced
To these two sides;
Hardship and comfort
And the pride which accompanies each.

NATURE’S SAGE-NECK REFLECTORS
With their necks taller
Than sunflowers and some trees,
Awareness is theirs:
Giving them serene calmness
In their life’s environment:-
How self-confident
They always seem to reflect
In their awareness.
Reflecting, we should also
Strive to be likewise in ours.
They reflect for us,
Standing calm in awareness,
Enhances wisdom:-
And brings about clear guidance
In meeting life’s challenges:-
They further canvass
That standing tall in your life,
Reflects confidence:
Ready to meet all the trials
Surrounding you in your life:-
In their proud stance,
They reflect serenity
In life’s awareness:-
In today’s circumstances,
Let us get to giraffing!
bumps and blips appear at night
on my neck, a gruesome sight
before I was aged seventy-three
this horrible stuff didn’t happen to me
There once was an insta-grammer star
mysterious likes without an avatar
longer hair, elongated neck
AI used, who would suspect?
An AI touch up does the trick by far

The Cord decided—Suddenly—
The Sky withdrew its Sound—
A sharp Arithmetic of Air
Was finished—then unbound—
The Body paused—to take a step
The Soul declined the Floor—
A click—no louder than a Thought—
Undid the World below—
The Neck—forgot its errand—
The Blood mislaid its Rule—
Gravity—remembered me—
And rang the Bell--quite True—
Not Pain—so much as Interval—
Between the Now—and Then—
A Silence—fastened round the Throat—
Where Breath had always been—
And I—was lifted from the Weight--
Of Flesh’s brief Command—
As if my Name—had slipped its Thread
From God’s own careful Hand—
My sister broke her C-2 which is part of your neck up high
She wore a brace for three months, then she had surgery
Surgery was to ensure that she might not have a wheelchair for life
There was no guarantee that it would be successful, but she has faith.
She put her neck into the hands of a highly skilled surgeon.
Dr. Kawasaki has an excellent reputation, and he fixed her up.
The C-2 is as high in the back as your nose is in the front.
As you can imagine, this was serious.
The physical therapist was worried when she saw sister’s file.
It was fifty-eight pages long. She wondered what she could do to help.
My sister walked in, and the P.T. kept a straight face for eight weeks.
Before she walked out the last time, the P.T. was honest with her.
When you walked in here, I was shocked, she told her.
I have been a P.T. for thirty-two years.
Anyone with a broken C-2 I have met was in a wheelchair or on a respirator.
The others ones are dead. You are a walking miracle.
My sister is completely healed now, and there is no pain.
I cannot say we believe in the power of God any more
But we certainly respect His decision to make her one of His miracles.
From the tips of my toes, to the end of my nose,
I probed for reactions, without any pain.
With a drink to my lips, I examined my hips,
But my efforts, again were in vain.
While scrubbing some skin, on my double chin,
I found nothing to make me complain.
Then with one final check, I felt a pain in my neck,
Which left me, simply feeling insane.
Without any doubt, I was suffering from gout,
That starts when I'm drinking champagne.

Putting my best foot forward
shoulder to the wheel
nose to the grindstone
my Achilles heel
while sticking my neck out
I soon found
as
with my eye on the ball
ear to the ground
when I put my back into it
not with tongue in cheek
but to keep my chin up
heard joints creak
the onset of old age memory loss
an early taste
for in the end I forgot to bend
at the knees and not the waist
The Necktie
He woke up fully dressed, minus his tie, in the lumpy bed
of a third-rate hotel, which had a fridge beside the TV
The last semi-civilized place, one up from sleeping rough
The room reeked of depravity, and a dusty curtain
protecting the inhabitants from the cruel world outside
The news was about a woman who strngled with a tie
He sat up, and he had lost his tie
The tie was green with black dots on it, should he ring
the TV station and ask what color the tie is?
Or should he remorsefully and fearfully sober confess
to a murder he could not remember having committed
The fridge rumbled, he got up, opened it, in the hope of
finding a cold beer; there, wrapped around a bottle
whisky, a red necktie
I rub my neck
My fingers find something hard
I press hard again
