Thinking of you as time goes by
it's amazing how we met
The first time I met you
I knew you were the one
Even on those rainy days
Silver linings seem to
sparkle to us light
to brighten up the day
You seem to bring out the
best in me
Like a tree is rooted deep
My love for you is rooted
in being with you
You are my better half
Accepts me for what I am.
Believes me for what I can.
Cares for me all the time.
Drives me crazy.
Encourages me to do my best.
Follows up and follows me through.
Guides me when I am lost.
Honors my feelings and decisions.
Informs me when I don't know.
Judges me not so quickly.
Kissess me everyday.
Loves me unconditionally.
Marries me only.
Nourishes my relationship to God.
Plays with me ocassionally.
Quickly forgives my mistakes.
Reminds of me of my greatness.
Saves me from everything.
Teaches me the life's lessons.
Understands my shortcomings.

The spirit of the woman I love
has changed me, this I do know
The sheer force of her femininity
has made me a better man, absolutely so
She engages me with godly dialog,
it helps elevate my consciousness
She's the woman I've always desired,
who truly makes me feel blessed
She's my better half
Lord knows, she is the best
She completes my identity,
I love her unconditionally, I confess
The spirit of the man I love
is so amazing, this I do feel
He loved me in spite of my
brokenness
God has blessed me from above,
with this man's love I'm now healed
He caresses my heart like a dove's sigh,
with such gentle tenderness
He's my better half
God knit our hearts together
He completes me so in every way,
I'm his soul mate and lover forever

You are the anchor that holds me in place
Without you my life would be just an empty space
You are my strength when I grow weak
Inspiration I draw from comforting words you speak
I find solace in your arms when I want to cry
When I'm feeling down, you lift my spirits up high
When I'm troubled, you have a listening ear
I turn to you because I know you will hear
In my darkest days you always look on the bright side
You see right through me, there's nothing I can hide
Your warm hugs and kisses lets me know it will be all right
That makes me want to love you more with all my might
A day without you would be a day not worth living
I write this poem as a token of my love and thanksgiving
Howe blessed I am to have someone as wonderful as you
In every way, you are all my dreams come true
In every way you astonish me,
Like the birds marvelous enrichment of flight,
My heart is subjected to your every sight,
The light complexion,
The sweet expression,
The magnificent extensions.
No mere mortal can resist your beauty ,
as beautiful is a word that defines you
but a word that does not express you.
The light of my heart ,
so undefined but yet so overwhelming,
so articulate but yet so amazing.
Sages were not wrong to say you are extraordinarily
'Gorgeous'.
I have been hurt, but you have eased my pain.
I have been burned, but you have soothed my anger.
You have given me hope when I've been scared.
You have made me feel safe when I have felt danger.
Where I tend to lack, you pick up the slack.
Where I come up short, you help to compensate.
You have softened my heart of stone and now,
Love resides where there once was hate.
My bitter has become sweetened
And my resentment has become affection.
When I felt the need to be perfect,
You came and loved each imperfection.
Clouds continuously darkened my days
But the sun in you broke through with rays
Of patience, kindness, and selfless ways
So now, the sky is clear, no more grays.
I smile more frequently because I'm so happy.
You have renewed my belief in love.
Thank you for being my better half
And being the man I've always dreamt of.
My better half whispers for me to do right.
I never listen to my soul until I'm desperate.
I feel it,I breath it.It makes my stomach roar.
My better half tells me I'm hungry. Eat.
I process the field of battle.
Just one more time.

My hands are stained red.
I am at the door to victory.
But the door is locked
The key wont turn.
Foiled again.
If you do that once more I'm done.
You promised. Swore.
