Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's famous narrative of 'an agent of national awakening ' in a un- uniformed rhymed account.Memorable metres make HWL tick in this patrotic missive
Longfellow very much a poesy traditionalist often with lyrical musicality did persist,

Premium Member My Heart is a Secret Garden

My heart is a secret garden
that only I beget to roam
For I’m guardian of the code
etched on my mind, and mine alone.

The garden's my divine haven
a special supreme place to be
When I'm in need of some me time
to rid troubled thoughts of debris.

Birdsong, bees buzz, breaks the silence
with supreme musicality
The fine tweeting and the buzzing
bringing peace restored unto me.

A unique perfume of roses
lavender, hyacinth of blue
All are my soul's restoration
that brings me back, sat here with you.

witch, my apricot pitch !

colourful pansies giggled with rosy cheeks
so like them were you inviting
no innocent flower enticing into bower
wise woman with spell laden books
neatly lined, in an outfit so divine

and in a corner next to oil lamp
beckoned your goddess refined
alive in calling frame gilded solid
come into white linen where
serpentine I will attuned you mine

candles flamed in gentle desire
holy and mundane sweetly attired
scrolls from Lemuria and Atlantis
their musicality danced with breasts
circling black hat as your test

aah, witch, my beloved pitch I long
for that dim room of angelic song
trees peeping in eventide breeze
cedar essences in decanters to
please, blouse loose with ease

let your wand take me into clove light
chequered with autumn leaves so bright
will I but connect to protect white loaves
red-haired apricot mystic witch invites
nipples harden anticipating a short delight

Sweet or melodious to the ear
seems too perfect for this world
strong sensory details
the poem's musicality
Sweet or melodious to the ear
authentic to your voice
Love and you
you in love
me and love
in love with you
so say's the evening
to what we prepare
the nights and days
the love we share
the time is right
love me like you mean it
it's alright
we have loved it
love
love
love
Love the days and nights
together
it's that perfect together
us forever
us forever

Premium Member In the mystery of the unknown, where thoughts flow like a river

In the mystery of the unknown, where thoughts flow like a river,
my being seeks innocence, unknown even to myself,
I am free, at last, to be silent, to bathe
in the quiet of your promise of promises,
like the pear tree in the garden, which feels beauty,
but never asks why such splendor is here.
On monsoon days, full of rain and longing,
locked within, yearning to explore the seas and the galaxy,
the tree beseeches the rain with a silent plea,
not to be judged by your deep gaze,
like a solitary companion who remembers,
my name scratched on the asylum walls,
as I was letting go of ideals,
I saw in the forest the tumult of life,
the remorse of a nymph who was once a virgin,
the stars were there, but of accidental origin.
In cosmic solitude, we seek unseen connections,
the universe calls us through symbols and dreams,
we dance among shadows and lights, seeking meaning,
in the chaos of existence, we lose and find ourselves.
We repeat, like a ritual, the words that become incantation,
archetypal images embrace the soul,
in a hypnotic musicality, we immerse ourselves,
transforming as the poem carries us
into the depths of being, where we find peace and truth.

Premium Member Why Doves Cry

Doves cry when the earth is being disturbed
When there's conflicts and war they are perturbed
For doves are the dear Lord's symbols of peace
They bring olive branches to help wars cease.

Doves also represent the joy of love
The golden gift from heaven up above
They coo-coo-coo to attract their life mate
Then build a nest for them to populate.

Doves sing their song to tell you that they're near
A song that's soothing and moving to hear
Their musicality is a calm balm
Alike listening to a holy psalm.

Stay as innocent as doves Jesus said
Never let evil thoughts enter your head
Doves appear when one has a troubled mind
On angelic wings, bringing love sublimed.

Premium Member Cosmic Collage

My heart seeks the smoky quartz sage within you, in secret,
like a solitary star adrift in the whimsical wilderness.
For I remember your voice, that manifested mellifluous musicality,
nurturing vain verses to thrive like lavender-incensed lilies,
glowing with sun-stroked flames of empathetic iridescence,
emanating sealed serenity amidst the archaic darkness,
crawling above raspberry-red roses, waltzing in silence.

Tonight, I cradle crooning clouds, soaked in sleepless sapphires,
as the petrichor breeze serenades your unconditional love,
that quenched my crestfallen quill, releasing cashmere calligraphy.
But if poems could speak, you’d feel the wildflower warmth of words,
how, once upon a camellia crescent, I found my inner rhyme in your sea-foam sonnets,
unveiling a cosmic collage of a sojourner soul,
healing from timeless tokens carved by familiar strangers, celestially aligned, forevermore…

I am the afterglow of a sanguine sunset~
airbrushed with patience by the power of your peridot pigments,
as your tongue is the mindful maestro, and I, the essence of your charismatic choir. …

Premium Member Why Raindrops Drip and Drop in Time

Why raindrops drip and drop in time,
not timorous; divine.
A splash, playful
in a pond of koi brass.
Tines of Sankyo, priceless precipitation;
A plink and plunk, Chopin;
“Till the End of Time,”
that is why raindrops
hold their gravity,
until the fruit
of their musicality
must be mined,
be longed
by great golden fish
with open lips
excited by the weather
without human palms
to catch, a catch
that croaks and grunts,
that fills the pond.

Orange Blossoms

On a tree
Overcome by the scent of citrus
Sitting on a branch plucking fruit
With the rhythmic sound of grass below me
The wind blowing the grass like waves
Filling the air with musicality

The blossoms
Yellow and white
With the possibility to be greater than buds
Tightly closed but ready to open
Offshoots of the bigger, stronger branch
I have this quiet moment to myself
To admire nature at its finest
Chewing on honeysuckle

The blossoms are shaped like stars
Soft and round petals
But pointy,
Permeating through the casing they are trapped in
A star, that when pollinated, grows
Growing into the tangy fruit that we know

Premium Member When Silence Speaks

When silence speaks
It reaches different volumes,
Various pitches of emotion,
Deeper tones of thought.
It's rhythms vibrate
To the very core.
The silence has musicality.
The silence can be a mentor.
When silence speaks
The noise must fade.
For the silence
Always has something
Profound to say.
What inspiration can be had
In any area of life,
If we listen
When silence speaks.

THIS AN OPEN(organic) VERSE using spaces&breaks without grammatical symbols ,the ' open' relies upon 'the one breath limitation' (intuitive cadence)& so inherently requires the 'reader' (reciter) to input and respond thus making this enigmatic form a two way interplay & interpretation unique to the moment
