Premium Member The Couple at the Movie

They revealed things that mortified me,
an abundance of flesh, clothing-free.
     “Get a room, y’all!” I pled.
      They proceeded instead
showing passion with great energy!

A PLAYER

A PLAYER

Booked for a film for one day.
I rehearse my line and wait until the
crew is ready for me.

It’s a cold night shoot, but the hot
spotlights flood the set with
achievement and attainment.

I perform. Hot and sweaty. I derig.
I exit, never seeing the crew again.

The rest of the night is waiting for
me ; the night is young and the city
is new.

To celebrate, I go to a night club.
Make out with a man twice my age
and half my talent. I perform again.

I cast aside the desperate man.

I book a twink who takes me to his
place. I derig. I perform again.
Hot and sweaty for the second
time tonight. I exit, never seeing the
twink again.

The joys of being a player….

If You’re a Bird, I’m a Bird

If you shrink to compactness, I’ll put you in my pocket
If you grow big and towering, I’ll climb into your sleeve

If you whisper gently, I’ll lean in close, intently
And close I will stay
A whisper away

Because you are me
and I am you
And whatever you name me
I will answer to
And if you can fly
I can too
If you’re a bird, I’m a bird

If I could read your book
I would have but a taste
Of the thrills you had in life,
And to live in desire
With passions burning bright.

matching clothes are not for me
I dress like movie stars on Britt Box TV
clothes we like, patterns and colors we love
matching neither, very British, very freeing

Premium Member terrified by this horror movie

We sat in the dark on the edge of our couch
Someone scrunched closer, giving me a bit of an ouch
It was the paw of my dog, whose eyes were big too
Next to him was his cat friend, we call her Old Blue

My teenage sister was sitting close to her boyfriend Bill
They were told I could not watch scary movies, and still….
Here I was on a Friday night watching blood come out of a drain.
I was screaming and thrashing, this horror movie was pain!

Take it easy said my sis, her boyfriend put his arm around me.
I felt a bit safer, but could not look at the black and white TV.
The next scream was my sister’s, and I was glad of that.
My parents came home and turned the TV off in seconds flat.

Premium Member watching the movie Police Academy

they are goof balls
numb nuts, crazies
they run their police cars into each other

they blame everyone else
each one is uniquely incompetent
a bunch of weird nincompoops

numbskulls who make this movie hilarious
I cannot watch it enough times
it always makes me laugh

sometimes I am stressed out that
I am so easy

Premium Member David Davy Crockett

David "Davy" Crockett,
wore a coonskin cap not a pretty flowery locket.
Was he the "King of the Wild Frontier"?
The bears would hide from him in fear.

In 1834, David "Davy" Crockett published an autobiography, A Narrative of the Life of David Crockett of the State of Tennessee. Many have written about him.

Chain Haiku - Star Dust

meet mom past the Wall
Tristan uses a candle

To dust far above

Eva Green Betrothed as Wept
Lady Sade
In the house of perjury and illness

The mind cannot process
The Hague
In ones lifetime
As the Hague is a pawn
You are upon earth, earth removes ash
The residue of wealth in war?

Cyclical Expanse
Expulsion of lives
Upon a great expanse of crescent
Unfertile, youthed
Explained
Retained in science
The endocrinologist is beneath all.

She withers her capture

Premium Member We Just Missed Each Other

On the last ring of the phone
Just around the corner, but unknown
A night spent apart, alone
As a mourner for the lorn
A dozen roses for another hectic day
On Valentine's day one never supposes
The reason for being fashionably late
In the movies, in the seats
One on, and one off the train
(As the background music begins to play)
One on each side of the door
with words, but none we say
The crescendo then the scene segue
I'm Astaire, Gable, Grant and Kong
To your Ginger, Marilyn, Audrey and Fay
I'll see you at home tonight, don't be long
We just missed each other today

Horror Movie Star

They made a horror flick
He was weak or he was sick
They chose him as the star
He can run, but won't get far

They created a wall compartment
Inside his small apartment
They installed cameras there
Reality show, unwanted, but they didn't care.

(bridge)
He felt ill, he began to ail
No idea of the hand pushing down the scale
Romance and work dove down the drain
They laughed and gloated at his pain.

(Chorus)
It’s a horror flick, but the plot is real,
They aren't like us in the way they feel.
He’s the star they chose, but the plot is sick,
Living and dying in their horror flick.

He heard them speak, felt nerve gas in his room
His apartment was a secret tomb.
He knew too much, but the cops would not believe
And he could not save others, for them we grieve.

So, learn the lesson be an owl:
Around us ghouls are on the prowl
They pass as normal, but empathy lacks
And in normal life, there are hidden attacks.

It could happen to you too
Bewildered by all the bad things that accrue
A life derailed, no suspicion why
When the only exit seems the choice to die.

End Credits

On the last day of the week
you were the first person to ask me
on a movie date

and this was the first time I refrained from hesitation
the first time in a long time I've loaned my bones expose

and as it plays on my unforgivable fidgeting
begins twisting in positions in my seat
trying to lay my head on your chest
	                             without breaking my neck

                            and I’m sorry I couldn’t just
				                    become comfortable
and I’m sorry it’s about more than
				                    just the movie
and I’m sorry I was more focused
			                            on what I wanted taken
				                    than was capable of giving
and I’m sorry all I can do is sputter off
                                                    apologies after you've
				                    long since stopped listening
