I grew up with the TV show, movie, book and song about David "Davy" Crockett.
I even sat on the actor's (Fess Parker)lap after the Disney movie and TV show came out.
Do you know how Davy Crockett's tombstone reads?
"Davy Crockett, Pioneer, Patriot, Soldier, Trapper, Explorer, State Legislator,
Congressman, Martyred at The Alamo. 1786 – 1836."
David Davy Crockett
David "Davy" Crockett,
wore a coonskin cap not a pretty flowery locket.
Was he the "King of the Wild Frontier"?
The bears would hide from him in fear.
In 1834, David "Davy" Crockett published an autobiography, A Narrative of the Life of David Crockett of the State of Tennessee. Many have written about him.
