MORE OR LESS?

Recently has got me thinking...
Why do I resort to drinking?
Is it because I am lonely,
Feeling like a one and only?
Is it subject to depression
Or some personal oppression?
Maybe because it is legal?
Does it soar me like an eagle
For a short time there about
Until I come to passing out?
Ultimately, it's a choice
Spoken in a certain voice
That for me turns into habit
The more that I decide to grab it.
Cans, bottles, shots and schooners
Lately downed sooner and sooner.
Words that give me some salvation...
"Everything in moderation".
I will apply them in the end...
But until then - cheers, my friend.

Lack of moderation in carnal pleasures condemns one to suffer great pains!

The above Monoku applies more to carnal pleasures. I see it from the ethical point of view.

Moderation and balance
That is the key
To unlocking life’s vault
On how to live happily

Sounds oh so simple
Though I am yet to get it right
Moderation I struggle with
When tasty goodies are in sight

I will keep on trying
To balance and moderate
Just as the saying goes
“It is never too late”

Justice, an unknown virtue would forever remain

If moderation into our hearts, we cannot sustain!

Creation of Moderation For New Nation

om dead Jesus raised
were dumfounded and amazed
His honor we praised

vituperative
in Congress what they revive
they need to survive

had stood on a bench
were uneasy and did flinch
when killer would lynch

should hear choir sing
along us they had to string
our lunch we did bring

from my deduction
sermon docturnal instruction
in mass production

Does that sound familiar
coming from Episcopalian
priest.

homily should be
God from our sins will set free
possessed by you and me

lack of ammunition
milk toast inquisition
Mueller apprehension

much moderation
does exist in new nation
by God creation

with God always agrees
will satisfy and appease
pray to on our knees

Understanding

BELLIGERENCE AND SUBLIMATION ...

     The difference is this:
     The man is always
     ready to explode in punches,
     or bullets...
     The woman always
     exploding into a smile,
     in a caress ...
     When the soul is sublimated,
     the punch changes
     in a gentle wiggle,
     and the bullet in delicious
     caramel kiss, captivating
     and audacious

Wisdom, Justice and Moderation

There's construction on 400
Bed rolls under the junction
Lights passing overhead
Eyes shut but never rested

With the film money rolling in,
New homes are built
With the overpass covering,
some are sheltered from the rain

Underneath 85,
Just south of city lights
are those still trudging through life
Bed roll, holding dog close for the warmth to survive

Moderation

Walk the line
All the time
Don’t do bad
Or be too glad

For moderation is needed
And your appetite not exceeded
These are the rules to live by
Go ahead and try.

Premium MemberAll Things In Moderation

All things in moderation,
It's a good way to get along;
For life it seems is a smorgasbord,
Of work, play, strife and song.

How can we enjoy a meal,
If we only taste one dish?
How can we have the fullness of life,
With our mind set alone on one wish?

Life is a serious matter, that's true.
We must learn to earn our keep.
Common sense tells us that all things need,
To work, play, laugh and sleep.

Equal amounts of excitement and peace,
Are important to our very existence.
It's unhealthy for us to dwell on one thing,
And obsess with too much persistence.

It takes all the fun and joy out of life,
To worry too much and frown.
By the same token it isn't wise,
To try to be the town clown.

All things in moderation.
Listen, learn and be wise.
All things in moderation.
It's a good way to live a full life.

Moderation In All Things, Ode To Daniel

Willful is shown as your gesture
An indicator of strength
Though part of it is recoil
From the life that went before

Be calm in your journey
The destination does not count
People and moments matter
Enjoy every moment spent

Know when to use your anger
Applied right you will be strong
Never, let time in memory
Remove that smile from your face

Allow time for quiet
To do absolute nothing
Hear the calm in silence
Life will be so more full

Love is the key to everything
Not a second to be wasted
Remember, as I ever told you
Moderation in all things

Premium MemberAlcohol: Moderation Is the Key

Alcohol is a culturally accepted drug
Many drink alcohol at point in their lives
Some only drink during social occasions
Others may have an evening glass of wine

Moderate alcohol consumption can reduce your risk of heart disease
The benefit is not so great that a non-drinker should consider drinking alcohol
About 1/3 of those drinking alcohol will develop problems with alcohol
Drinking problems can increased your risk of serious health problems
Accidents
Or injuries

If you want to drink alcohol
Moderate consumption is considered safe
Moderate drinking is considered 2 drinks a day for men
1 a day for women or lighter-weight men

A drink is 12 ounces of beer
5 ounces of wine
1 ½ ounces of hard liquor
Each one counts as one carbohydrate choice

Healthy Moderation

Our first lady Michelle from the white house.
Encourages healthy eating not souse.
Limbaugh cries idiot.
In the newspaper writ.
She was eating hamburgers with her spouse!

In Vale he said they were sking on snow.
Then eating ribs, he said on his show.
But how can he talk?
With his bulk hard to walk!
Having chest pains to the hospital did go!

"Food Nanny" Obama is saying,
Having barbeque won't be paying.
Have pie on Thanksgiving Day,
Said Michelle critics say,
Moderation?? To the dogs we're straying!
