sun-dried, saltwater-rusted
bench sits above cherry bricks
undulating like pan-fried
bacon strips, by the streetlamp
where lazy dogs whine at once
and also lose their bladders
and imagine chuletas
in the beaconed street's limelight

BEYOND THE VEIL

Handicapped by charades,
A cacophony of voices
Comes from the real owners of the world
Who gather, roar, and whisper in a coven.

Wolly bat and tongie dog
Adorned with black wrappers
Teeth smeared with mysterious mixture
As they shape-shift with various forms inside

Even when persuaded,
Their words hold final sway.
Night is their realm,
Flying on bat-like wings
To summon ice and hailstorms.

They wield the power to manifest
In multiple, mysterious ways.
For background checks,
Elédumaré holds the power to thwart.

I hail thee…
Yet, all adoration belongs to God.

Before the brow grows cold

lazy bones, bound in poverty’s grip
in a garden, where hesitation weeds grow~
filled with s t r a n g l e d d e l i c a c i e s…
a recipe of wisdom, never tasted
couched like a fly in an endless stupor…
abandoned in a ship, lost in the doldrums~
in a dark tunnel, where
        echoes slowly f a d i n g
doomed to sail a sinking ship with no lifeboat

yet your arms can still push a boulder uphill~
so put your shoulder to the wheel...
never stop, reach the mountain's peak
sharpen the saw, dig for gold, tame white horses~
while sweat streams down your brow

for once you're interred in a grave
with nothing to illuminate the darkness
mountain of your strength will only enrich the grains of sand...
and fork in the road will give you no direction to choose
you'll just be lost in the maze...
like a deer in a headlight
as confused as a dog watching a magic trick

Pet dog can't be our pet

Planting a seed of deceit to escape the blame,
Even the blind could see the trick in that dance.
Tangled deep in the web of truth-coloured falsehoods,
Dodgy as a broken glass that reflects beauty.
Only the trueness of its heart sees clear the truth~
Giving its forked tongue some time to rue its regret.

Care nor love enough to make a pet dog a pet.
Attention to fakeness won't turn it to truth.
Nothing but pure honesty makes truth a belief~
That deceit has only a few nights of good rest,
Before the truth shatters it into smithereens,
Ensuring lies don’t last beyond dawn’s first crow.

Only truth-coated innuendoes could fool so much,
Unless the ears that hear are clogged with thick wax~
Rolling out deceit as though not meant to deceive;
Pretending it wasn’t intended to sound absurd,
Ensuring that its belief was clouded by lies,
That made a lifeless toy believe it was a pet.

god of men

Corrupt heart, depraved mind
A master of time, the weaver of trap
One whose mouth, falsehood emit
Gone from men, man and ghoul part and part

A victor, the slayer of ten men
A wolf in sheep’s clothing
The stopper of the flow of time
Catching his victim, in his well made net

Armed with a sneering dog
He is myth, the god of men
He was here before humans lived
The devil we can see

A menace since he was in diaper
Daily baths in the pool of tears
Constant loop of wretching blows
Till he killed the first, a debt repaid

He swore to fight as long as he live
Till he becomes one, the evil incarnate
Indomitable will, never to de-rail
He became the killer, the liar, the satan

He walks unimpeded to glory
A war dog, feared berserker
Hushed whispers turned raw
The god of men, the breaker of dreams

Live like a Jackal, Die like a dog

Hear the flames crackle
Fall on your sword
Live like a Jackal
Die like a dog

The lion is weary
Hyenas dart and bite
Their laughing is eerie
He'll lose his last fight.

The vultures are circling
Eyes that see far
Their shadow is on you
Wherever you are.

Betrayal was easy
You were attracted to strife
You gambled with demons
And wagered my life

Now dust claims your legend
You can't make it whole
May hell give you welcome
for you the bell tolls

So hear the flames crackle
No lion saves you now
Live like a Jackal
Die like a dog

Dog of war

You bury your only dog beneath a home of desecrated poppies.
Pup frozen from years of neglect, full of ignorance and stained of regret.
You claw at the dirt like one of the far-gone soldiers, and the earth knows better but to serve you.

You lay his body down Heavy, limp and soundless.
His wide eyes the color of heartbreak and broken promises, his coarse fur kissed by the signs of war.
You wear the same marks, you have the same saintless past,
But your fate is not the same.

War was your mother; she taught you learn once, not twice. She taught you dogs die and you were reborn by your own hand, born with thorns for skin and poison in your breath.

Dog and Human,
Killed and killer,

One was inhuman the other was a self-created monster.
There is a fear on the dog's face that you can only dream of. Pure light consumed by the darkness. a child of war, taken by a river of blood and the fear that led to his death.

And you wish you had the humanity to grieve.

Pomerenian

In a world of giants
The pomerenian is a flicker -
A spark against the horizon
Small but fierce
Its eyes catch the stars
Twinkle with mischief
Near but distant
A lively bundle of joy,
A fluffy ball of fur
Its love, a devotion
Unmatched, unparalleled.

Let's be real

Let's be real
I'm the deal
the big dog
handing out slapdowns
I'm on a crackdown
I'm taking out the trash
I'm a digital jokers ass

cope harder!
reality is not your father
your ego is a disaster
wasting your time!
arguing online!
so here's a witty rejoinder!

you smell, smelly smell
you smell, smelly, smell
you smell, smelly

nothing they say will convince me
nothing they do will thrill me
pushing their agenda on me loud
but here I stand, proud

I'm here every day
I'll never go away
Argued with a tag
Lost my rag

why can't you be constructive?
while I am so productive
feeding your ego each day
while I slave away
chained to my keyboard
with nothing to say

wave wave wave
a mouth an ocean
tongue slobbering like a big slobbery dog
licking my face
wave wave wave
zave mave jave
licking my face an ocean wave
mouth of the boisterous dog
vave kave bave

I drown near too near
but by the dog save
and to the shore gave
or the mouth my grave

I'm a flower tickler
with a flower tickler's thumb
like my dog before me
although he's more of a philanthropist
than a poet, but, like him, I too bark
my greenery of colours when needed
and tickle flowers

Salvage A Whir

Stair carefully dear into the unknown abyssal void.

Pier was once past and now rotted and rictus, petrified.

Hue manatee threaded ten den and garnet.

Ruby teardrops and crimson Damascus drips droplets,

like a leak key faucet in the dead of night.

Scarlet necklace four by one who did sow much,

kismet of my bloodlust and neck crow man sea.

Fools are all burning with me now, how kris pea.

Cerberus let me pass for free or dye dog,

he growls but I remain steadfast and waltz threw.

Welcome to my finally fore Hades is dead,

only pan door ah re mains.

SUBSTANCE FIRED TRIGGERED OUT TAIL MAN BUTTOCK MOVES- A Grook
I lit the substance it fired not
I pulled the trigger something shot out
I shake my buttock, yet don’t have a tail
Like a dog we both move…WELL>

Aged man walks on the busy street
Beyond his ability to cross
Cane in hand, old friends he needs to meet
Delayed by rain, worried about loss

Earlier, he fell into a hole
Finding out he damaged his right leg
Good that he didn't hurt body whole
Heading to the market for an egg

In the dark of the night without light
Just then, he saw a mean dog and swayed
Knowing fully well the turn is tight
Lingering for a moment, dismayed

Managed to lose his footing on ground
Neck deep in marshy land off the road
On witnessing the scene the dog frowned
Prepared to attack but turned and slowed

Questions stormed the old man's fevered mind
Reminding him of his old weakness
Should he shout for help or wait to find
The dog's aggression or its meekness

Until the dog heard sounds of people
Viciously running towards the ditch
With clubs and sticks making it feeble
Xbox games came to mind was it dog, b tch?

Yet, whatever, it did not relent
Zeal is good, finally, it was bent
At last, he was saved from emboggment
But he never learned what was meant
