she is alive
limbs like entangled serpents
an embryonic adult on canvas
who escaped a naked bed
her art stolen into law school
his arm resigned decorates her shoulder
blind geckos scamper
¥
scamper open lidded lizards
they decorate her shoulder
stolen are all her paintings
her naked bed cold
canvasses half complete
entangled her limbs ache
alive she has her hat and black cat

It’s 25° C clear
but she’s gone.
The outlines of her shadow, hoping
that they’ll have a chance of putting them into use
in the fashion world.
She wears a black, backless dress
with a plunging front.
The soft contours of her breasts are revealed
through the mirrors on the walls.
On the front page a gazette
her cat walk
rushing down to the battle.
Here, you’re making the neighbours squirm.
Here, you’re making their claymores shriek their hatred.
That’s why your body sags against the bar in fatigue.
You’re trying to remember your voice.
Remember, your phone rings again.
It’s a voice you’ve heard,
that incandescent panic spread through the hall.
They’re marrying her.
They’re scarifying her for their day’s events.
You’ve made me interested in how she’s thinking
& you can’t control this with your beard.
Your gaffe is all there.
You gaze with gratitude.
She wore nothing but herself;
Her crown was flowing radiant black;
Electrifying was her mind sweet as roses;
And she hears with ears of velvet clovers;
And she sees with the eyes of a cat beams;
And she's naked her vessel skin hue;
Like a flowing water pouring down streams;
Graced in beauty of visaged view;
Carmel is her angles;
She sings amidst the angels;
Birds join in;
Such a beauty a wife for David, Solomon great Kings;
Pure as the color gold, streams the waters whole;
Out of her mouth from down into her belly;
She harvest the rhythms souls;
She wore nothing but herself barely;
Her Father looks at her knowing knowledge so;
And He says who told you were naked?

in snail-pace schizoid Land of the Dying
they sometimes bake schnapps biscuits
then throw them to black cat eyeing
angels appear asking “what about fiscus ?”
they reply “we care not, passings near
roof leaks, grass not so glitter green
new shoots will bloom, Shangri-La we hear!”
“all acts account to day of goodbyes, clean
fix broken loo and cement those cracks
fill empty birdbath, then plant carnations
give your dues, do not frack
we account credit and debit, our obligations.”
dying embrace living Earth to very end
dimensions shake when you do not mend

Like a cat,
I've nine times to die —
and love has taken seven.
Once,
when you said my name like it was a question.
Twice,
when you answered it with silence.
Thrice,
when you loved someone else
in front of me
like I was made of stone
instead of soul.
I keep returning —
from wreckage,
from wreck,
from wreck again.
You don't know
how many lives I’ve lost
just staying alive
next to you.
And still —
I come back,
tail flicking,
heart limping,
eyes full of the same soft hope
that kills me every time.
Eight.
That’s when you smiled
and didn’t mean it.
Nine…
Well, nine is today.
And I’m still here.
Still breathing.
Still breaking beautifully
in front of you.
So tell me —
When a cat runs out of lives,
what does she do?
Does she finally sleep?
Or does she
learn how to die
without anyone
noticing?
A* To the lion the (AMAZING) crown of the jungle
E* And to the monkey all ( ENDLESS) cunning
I* The cat is (Intriguing), the subtlety
O* (Observe) the dog, faithful friend
U* A man... an (UNFAITHFUL) being..!
You lead the park but scare no sheep,
An ewe went astray while you sleep,
Why weren't you on call round the clock?
To care for and protect the flock.
Your meow is just too soft a bleep,
No shepherd rules you could just keep.
How will you keep away the fox?
When your greed desires too the cocks.
The sadness you caused is too deep,
I will have to sell you off cheap.
You made my farm be on the rocks,
Sorrow is what you have in stocks.
You are proud to be a blacksheep,
Your joy is to see others weep.
At your foolishness, the dogs mock,
Who will wake me up from this shock?
Cat sitting on his calm;
In a rocking chair knitting yarn;
While fish drinking coffee laced in yeast;
Yawning blowing bubbles on the beach;
Dogs frying bacon;
Caterpillars sliding in grease;
Sunbathing birds chirping falcons;
squawking just trying to be heard in peace;

He tried
but for him
speech did not
come easily,
the parrot had a stutter
starting with a sputter --
tripped over
every third word
sounding quite absurd
the clipped-wing bird;
his flight, as well,
a jump and a fell --
a monumental flop,
every spring
followed by a plop...
and Boots, the penthouse cat
a bit of a louse
absent a mouse
terrorizes Carrot~ the penthouse
parrot --
poor Boots, dreams of woods
feline hunts and captures
kept from the wild
chooses poor Carrot
for his daily, stalking raptures --

"The beauty you see in me
--is a reflection of you" :-)
I want you to cut out
a paper heart, of any hue
Doesn't matter if you're a kid,
or went to NYU
This experiment doesn't use
markers, glitter, nor glue
Doesn't need perfect proportions
-- it's fine if it's askew
Now, go ahead and crumple it
into a ball (just do!)
Next, please open up and smooth out
the paper, through and through
Iron it, flatten in a book --
but whatever you do
There will be many remaining
creases within your view
These symbolize harmful words'
memories -- even if true
All the mean, blunt, biting thoughts
folks wish someone else knew
Our rash impulse to hurt peoples' feelings
-- we should subdue
The philosophy "hello human kindness!"
-- let's renew
Our own hearts are like a mirror
showing how others feel, too

In a land where camels stitched their dreams,
With needles sharp and lofty seams.
A tailor's shop like desert wide,
Where humps and stitches both preside.
The camel sat with thread in teeth,
A thimble snug, a stitch beneath.
In sandy stalls, the jokes take mold,
A laughter tale, as emails told.
One hump, two humps, a dromedary delight,
In tailor's shop, by deft moonlight.
They stirred the stalls, the fabric stored,
A comedy of camels, laughter soared.
A Cornered Rat
No matter what the enemy’s might.
The smallest of beasts will stand and fight.
Whether a cat or a mighty bear.
Confront him only if you take care.
For a cornered rat will stand and fight.
No matter what the enemy’s might.

I am
all nine deaths
of
the anti cat
do not
curse me
Slumbering beneath the lamplight,
As though he is bathing in sunlight.
