I wrote this in 2019. I was thinking of matter and antimatter, as you do, and when they collide they annihilate each other so then a stray thought occurred of a cat and an anticat, could be anything and anti anything really but cat seemed fun because a cat has nine lives so an anticat would presumably have nine deaths, they would annihilate each other so better not make them angry (last line). So there you are, one of my most bizarre and silliest poems. I was also still on the fine line of mental illness, read into that what you will, so "ok" me and "not ok" me - the anti me -  anyway I put it as light verse because it's nonsense. Or is it...

I am all nine deaths of the anti cat do not curse me

I love the 'layering' of your poem. For some reason, it spoke to me...all nine deaths...such a powerful and thought-provoking line. Must fave this to look at again in a few days. Have a splendid and creative evening, Sara

Glad you like it Sara, it's taken me quite a while to submit it, I thought it would be too out there and obscure but I'm glad I did, it's always been one of my favourites, thanks for your support and kind words

I love how you’ve written “ i am all nine deaths” what a powerful line this is. You may find it silly but for me this is deeply moving and very touching and soulful. Definitely a new fave. As in few words you’ve expressed so much. Pleasure reading you always: sending light

I was in a bit of a dodgy place, mentally, and so it came out in my words I guess. So glad you liked it IE, very very appreciated

super cool stream of thought - a fun rabbit hole to go down, many worlds and all.

As a Star Trek fan I can appreciate this. Remember the TOS episode about the two Lazarus? One matter, the other anti-matter. Anyway, I suspect if the two cats met in life one the other eight would become moot

Not the best episode by any means but it did introduce the fascinating concept of mutual annihilation and the scifi notion of a parallel universe

You brought it down to Star Trek! You just made my day, I am a huge fan of Star Trek - conventions, merch.. probably giving way too much away about myself. I do remember that episode. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Tom, excellent comment
