'twould be a fine thing
if it were so
but no
wtf
lower case letters and emojis
are the way of the day
mostly with nothing much to say
smh
no wonder the globe is warming
with all the power used and abused
omg
but what did they find
to fill their tiny minds
lol
before they owned
their so-called smart phone
idk
Edward Estlin Cummings so inventive
penned poetry so sensitive
He loved to write in lower case style
interspersed by CAPITALS once in a while
Hark… hark… hear my voice, a mere leftover refrain
Never can you see me, I’ve no form left to gain
Look up… look up… and miss me, resound with the air
Don’t take my loss for granted, only spells despair
Grief… grief… counts for nothing, on the flip side of love
Pinpointing its vector, may bring hope from above
Crunch… crunch… the numbers, add symbols in lower case
Headstones of algebra, surround my resting place
Wait… wait… I hear cries, emanating at my grave
Broken hearted loved ones, so many tears they gave
Listen.. listen… up, your mourning’s setting me free
This life snuffed out, echoes down through eternity
Hush… hush… my darling, pillows muffle as you sleep
Pull tight the sheets and love me, inside dreams so deep
WHEN IS ALL CAPS SHOUTING?
when is all lower case poetry?
The answer, my friend, is blowing. in the wind.

Remember- lower case including title and no unneeded punctuation
Three tombs stand by the beaten path
among the dry and trodden grass,
not hewn in stone that they would last
but corrugated cardboard
each bearing felt-tipped epigraph.
The left in lower case, save the name,
which writ in gold in centre frame
wrote 'in loving memory of CHEESY',
a mouse that died last week of May
The right had 'Squeak ' writ small in red,
on Friday 5th of June found dead.
And landed there above the ground
a fly with downward facing head.
Stood centre, also named with golden tip,
'here lies BEAKY', deceased bluetit,
died Tuesday 12th of May this year.
All buried, dead, and that was it.
What were the tragedies that befell
these two beloved pets? It's hard to tell,
along with free found garden bird,
perhaps a chick just fledged that fell.
Children mourned and marked each death,
each loving crafted cardboard wreath
fortasting for life's passing breath,
a portent for much later years
when breaking hearts mourn life's egress.

Ahhh!
Shhh!
lower case letters small intakes
breath across the heaven
lightening and storms
“whispers”
slowly moving rushing tree leaves
just what does this mean
lightening flashings rushingly leaves blowing
cat's meowing, wiggling worms
while in the womb a baby cries
“whisper”
Ahhh!
Lower case letters small intakes
breath across the heaven
lightening and storms
whispers to me
ya, heard

Hushed Gore
The forest deep carries the biggest gunners
Those who do the most damage
That you remember the most and worst
The school bully who nobody could master
The boxer that no opponent beat
The soldier who loved to fight
The woman who stepped on men
These people carry the biggest guns
And walk thru the darkest glade
Enormous trees surround them
Here there is little or no sunlight
Even on the brightest days
They belong to that world and rule it
We are mere spectators and guests
Visiting them now and again
When their worlds collide with ours
Gaining a glimpse on how they work
And what they do in hushed gore
I jog on by unless gripped from behind

quatermass vengeance
we went to their world
some went in a ship
for they liked that way
others were teleported
the speeds were the same
and both sets arrived simultaneously
on the world that they emanated from
we got revenge for the young people
that they harvested 100k years ago
irradiated by their fusion probe
taking protein for their machine
it wasn't economical
for half was lost
and turned our sky purple
now was the time for our revenge
the earthlings were here
we were now the aliens
all powerful and vengeful
this was our time
for we remembered...
