Premium Member Lovey Dovey in Seventy Four

Lovey dovey in seventy-four
a large wedding, top hats at every door
blushing bridesmaids, each dressed in red
bride has lost weight, has she even been fed?

There are six children by eighty-six
the bride is now heavy, extremely thick
by ninety there are two more children to feed
bride cannot fit on a thousand-pound steed

groom loses interest by ninety-two
runs off with a younger woman, with eyes of blue
Her mother warns “he’ll do the same to you.”
She has six children when he leaves her too.

Premium Member Just Because I Love Words

I have no theme, no muse, no just cause or aim.
Untouched by reason, no spark nor any flame.
Yet still the words flow, kindled all the same,
By the sheer love of words and the games they play.

My poet's head is full of words churning within,
With magnetic attraction for their next of kin,
Words that describe images, thoughts, sounds therein,
It's a noble cause, just because a story must begin.

It's not just the lovey-dovey smoochy stuff,
But words that clash, jog and jangle, huff and puff,
Words that trawl up memories and a serendipitous bluff,
Words that inspire a just cause in readers is just enough.

I wash, rinse, and recycle what pops into my head,
Creating a riddle, jingle, jangle and rhyme bedspread,
That's washed, spun, and hung out to dry once it's said,
To flap, taunt and jangle readers passing-by my spread.

Premium Member Roses On Valentine's Day

Rose wine days fill our tender moments
rose petal hours skipping on like a sigh

Rose dreams cupping my heart and yours
rose time kisses, sweet as honey

Rose love wrapped it amorous stares
rose twinkle fairy dust & Lovey-Dovey eyes

Rose darling whispers saying come close dear
Rose feelings of the soul oh how they smile

Roses on Valentine's Day,
Roses Roses, every day.

Premium Member Rudolph And Rainey Reindeer

Rudolph and Rainey Reindeer, had a special love that glows
And if you ever saw them, you would even say it shows

All of the other reindeer, hear them whisper lovey-dovey names
And they all also see them, playing lovey-dovey games

Then one Merry Christmas Eve, Rudolph came to say
"Rainey with your eyes so bright...Deerling, won't you marry me tonight"

Oh my, how Rainey loved him, she said "I do" so happily
Then Rudolph and Rainey married, and they both went down in history

Premium Member When White Doves Cry

Lovey dovey doves please don't cry!
Nor coo coo on your squeaky wings fly!
For the rainbow arching in the sky,
and your fledgling flock, will bring peace and defy
the warmongers, hell bent to wry
away the cry of white doves, sent aloft to ply
peace, harmony and serenity, in the by and by.

Premium Member A Pseudo Love Poem

So it's back to love, gonna write about love
My favourite subject besides giggles
The thrill, the passion, the heat of the moment
Makes me wanna wiggle and jiggle

Love makes me act in very strange ways
As if I'm possessed by some demons
Always been a very prim and proper man
Really can't imagine the reason

Maybe I'm reliving my teenage years
Heard you do when reaching old age
Those romps in the hay with the girl next door
When teenage hormones just raged

Well this didn't turn out the way I expected
It's void of the lovey dovey stuff
So I'm gonna sit right down and try again
Sometimes I find it real tough

Visit Me Not

Visit me not, never in my dreams
I felt myself smiling with laughter
The warmth, fluffy as cotton Candy,
Suddenly the law of attraction with a “bang” hit!
with a bit of trepidation, I felt claustrophobic.
when I open eyes so big questions rose as I frown,
the mind profligated to the peak.
Familiar surroundings as I pick,
A flamboyant breath out of me, Pheuuuuw!!!!
Realizing it was all a dream.

It is sad, that I have cut the cord myself, not proudly
Course you forced me to the party.
I loved you unconditionally, even more exceptionally.
And, none of this is funny
Course You pushed me to the core “intentionally”.
Where did you even get the energy to play lovey dovey?
I am dead serious, this is all OVER!

And my pride is not allowing me,
And will never allow me to allow you back in.
You played me, and truthfully
I wish we never met.
And I wish I’d said this, that last time
“Please remain in my past, and Step back out of my dreams too”

Premium Member Heartbroken Love

My lost love
   makes me lonely and longing
heartbroken and heartsick
         in need of healing
but wait, wandering wayfarer girl
                     wait . . .
new found love is looking right
            at you all lovey-dovey !

Premium Member Rose Queen

Ooh la la, the rose, coronate her beauty.
Her ruffled scent, her hues, dare not refuse.
When petals red, like strawberry-fruity,
and lovey-dovey white, one must persue.
Persistent veil of mist will kiss one’s soul,
will kill one’s love for any forthright bud.
She’s no petulant child, a fine trompe l’oiel.
Commands perfume’d ascent of pulse, life’s blood.
Beneath the fray, a thorn’d adversary
will snag the jugular of swivel-head.
Her red pursed lips, dove-skin, a bit scary.
Don’t be tempted to find another’s bed.
She stands ten feet tall-er than uncut weeds.
She possesses a prowess set that leads.

Premium Member We Want a Big Wedding

How lovey-dovey can they be? We ask each other, concerned.
It is his sixth marriage, her thirteenth. They are totally in love.
We have heard this before from both of them.
They have actually married each other twice already.
We want a big wedding, she says. White dress and everything.
And we will release doves, he tells us. This time we mean it.
We are silent, noncommittal, not sure what to say.

Premium Member Hooptie Dooing

Hello sweetie, I brought you some flowers
I'm the clown you lovingly call hubby
I know how it makes you all gushy and stuff
When we cuddle up all lovey dovey

It usually leads to some playful smooching
When we caress and I nibble your toes
Have I ever told you how much that excites me
Feelings of passion start to flow

Hope my panting and fussing isn't heard
By the old couple living next door
If they get too excited, they'll probably need
A defibrillator, their heart to restore

But let's get back to me and you sweetie
Smooching and hoochy cooing
It sure turns my crank, puts a tiger in my tank
Absolutely love all this hooptie dooing!

Taking Time Out To Be Alone

Expression are never
Exaggerated
They are often
Off the wall
Who's keep you
Over inflated
Does truth equalize
Us all
Best before it
Expires
Limit yourself
Like a fool
Real love obligates
Ones devotion sets
The rule

Ain't tryna run no game
This man likes what he sees
Pushing me away sometimes
Makes me want you more
You go to far when you
Leave me on my knees
Don't have me out their
In need of love getting Grist
Ain't that hard at times
Guess I am the same
Way to
Guess I ain't always
So kind

Say you love me
We can be
All lovey dovey
Let me have my way
To night
Real as real can be
Talking you and me
Baby let me love
You tonight
Ain't what we do
When it's me and you
See I love it when
You turn me on
I like it too
Do what you do
Me and you.
Got a love
Thing going on

Premium Member The Night Before

'Twas the night before Christmas
When our hounddog got suspicious
Not that he was in the least bit malicious
But he did smell something deviously delicious
As he caught the cat and the fieldmouse
Up in the penthouse of the jailhouse
Together lovey dovey playing house
He wasn’t going to make a fuss
As long as there was enough for all of us
Of that champagne in the morning with citrus

My Dear Friend

My Dear Friend

You're a true friend indeed
A beautiful flower's seed
You're a true friend I need
A friend that all are in greed,
in greed of
I must admit it
I find you very funny
I find you sweet like honey
You're my best buddy
My best lovey-dovey
Stay sweet and never change
Stay kind and never act strange
Let's keep this friendship real
I hope we have ourselves a deal.

A Verdict On Love

A connoisseur of music
Feign to enjoy solitude
Behind curtain of loneliness
lots of got memories accrued

Falling in love with nature
i was trying to get renewed
For not proving my love my
own people made me accused

In the file of supportive evidences
"love of heart" i forgot to include
lost the case of feelings, when a
lovey dovey person was declared as Rude.

This verdict didn't hurt as much
as that petition against love did
Everyone ascended in form
of money success but love alone slid.
