Precedent setting the stage for kerning and tracking piqued my interest
Precedent setting the stage for kerning and tracking piqued my interest

Just before logging off for the day,
and ready to boogie out of the joint
an email landed squarely in my inbox
cordially inviting me
into the management...

Premium Member Alpine Wind
It's too hot and humid for September!
Even dust specks descending in the room's sunlight
are beads of sweat running down my sides.
I bring pencil, crossword and ice tea
to this chair and table, these angled shutters,...

Gray
Poor miserable mysterious color,
Not a dark, not a light, an in between.
Oh the complexity of gray in laundry.
This neutral hazy excuse for a color,
like the polluted version of white,
or the immature offspring of black.
Gloomy,...

Poor Miss Carrie was scared of anything to do with Halloween,
She’d jump at just the sheer mention of this holiday, no please
Let’s just talk about something else, but as all hollows eve
Approached, this...

Among Suitcases Ii
2:01 pm
Cinnabon, California Pizza, Burger King
Let’s de-militarize the sea floor
So we can once again walk on the waters
Clear and still

Looking at the information monitor
“Passenger… you have a message waiting...

A Ghost Writes
in the stillness of the night
where shadows weave their tales
an envelope drifts weightless through silence
ancient parchment frayed
by the breath of time

it bears no return address
only the faint aroma
of forgotten dreams and echoes
a whisper carried
on the...

Painting You

Before painting, I first sketch you
In my mind’s eye…To compose
The lines, shapes, shadows and lights,
That work altogether to form a semblant sight
Of you for any relative, friend or acquaintance…

Next, I embrace the required...

Prologue 10 Assorted and misc pangs and bangs

The atmosphere was alive and palpable,
 surreal really
as the aegean blue of electrons after a
summer downpour, where the crickets take a short reprieve to zen the petrichor.

A Love Letter
It was a new dawn, a new day, a new beginning for me -
When dazzling sunlight hit the wavering pond like gold dust,
dissipating the mist as silver swirls into thin air.
You emerged from the shimmering...

Sun
I'm riddled with guilt,
If I could I'd push a sword
Through my heart to the hilt,
Not being able to exchange one word
Has my soul heavy
So many thoughts
Trying to break through the levy
My stomach in knots,
I'm on...

Time
Time is elastic.....time is plastic
why carry it around tied to the wrist?
Old theories so conventional...life is fantastic
then why check your phones as if you can't resist?

Like tall trees fleeting by the window of a...

Suspended
Crumpled papers
Crumpled tissues
Crumpled photos
Bury themselves
In a tin can
In a rubbish bin
In a refrigerator
Ants are out
Moths are out
Cockroaches are out
Crawling on faces
Smudging makeups
Wiping off expressions
A glass of wine collapsed
A box of candies spoiled
A house of cards...

But instead your digging in my skin exposing...

Look Out Your Window
look Out your window.
By Ian Van D. Chandler

We all look for infinities,
In this artichoke world.

	Above mistaken me.
	There are pleasant humming bees.
settled to watch so far up,...

PEN
PEN

At first, it was just another pen
A ballpoint, as is called by some
Not one in that old clear plastic
But shiny metal, looking fantastic
A present, as fancy as they come
Quite the classy image back then

That silvery...

The dominoes are falling
As the rain is pouring down
The engines of our minds are stalling
And everything we know is about to be burned to the ground

The puzzle is coming together
And the pieces fall into place

Delusion
Opulent the full moon glowed
Flooding light on a rocky road;
Casting down his gauzy veil
Luminescent to probe the pale.
Misty soft the shadows went
Into the secret sacrement;
Where evil meets the occult tryst
Of darkness dressed in amethyst
Where enchantments...

The Raven's Call
In the icy white living mists, in the grayness
Rising up around the olden mossy stones
I hear them calling through the smudging grey veils

From the unknowable, from the unknown
They...

Heart of Jesus
bleeds
wounded by
wolves
tearing humanity
drunken on heresy
blasphemy
self destroying

All I Have
I longed for more time
to lay cornerstones,
but life had started
detaching my soles

I wanted more daylight
to see a Galaxy of beauty

within one finger of breath

I desired of many things

to walk the Ponte...

Premium Member Richard Diebenkorn - Seated Woman, Umbrella 1967
Negatives -
no distance or angle,
reveals substance of the female,
when projection of self pauses.

Still image, no movement -
luminance lost,
no colour or life
until viewed.

Pensive,
closed and defensive,
tense and drawn in,
settled -
unsettled again.

"Seated Woman, Umbrella"
defined and labeled,
seeking table,
conversation enabled.

As...

SPONTANEOUS  ART

My spontaneity
  of pure chance style
is to use
paper on a handheld
A4  clip board as a work board
 &upon it
use a 6 pack of 'primary
  (no smudging/quick drying)
 paint sticks)
then
to experiment
    therewith randomly
exploring abstractly
with these colours
¬ caring if I
  overlapped onto
 the underlaying
  smaller sized
       paper beneath

 in addition to these sticks
using other media e.g tippex,pencils biros...
   (whatever came to hand)

Sometimes
using the smaller underlying
smudged artwork to rub( when wet)
    . randomly upon the others
to create
 'spontaneous' effects
& also cutting out shapes
 therefrom
   that appeared to me
as something ie animals faces
   or whatever....
