Inspired by Breaking Benjamin song : Far Away

My footsteps crumple
the rustling pale leaves I love,
making morose music of loneliness
in my hopeless journey,
I am yet to finish.

The dark alley of suffering,
filled with the mist of despair,
I light with the candle of hope,
retrieve the anguished soul from abyss,
illumined by God’s generous grace,
radiant with the divine light.
of thousand suns.

In the far away shore
of the transcendent soul
the supreme designer makes
the destined inner circuitry.
The pattern of piety creates
the magnetism of divine beauty,
takes my consciousness
out of the mortal elements
to the emancipating ardent aura
of the embracing ambiance of bliss.

Out of the dark abyss of sorrow,
in the distant inward journey
through the awareness layers,
my detached soul perceives
the gleam of divine beacon,
lighting up the path
to the precinct of peace.

I am then the immutable hymn
of the sanctified soul,
that echoes in the melodic strata
of the harmonic awareness.
The devout mantra intoned
in the temple of my heart,
resonates with remote symphony
of the sacred spirit,
floating away with godly grace
to the yonder realm of divinity.

Premium Member It's Love

Love trembles, a heartbeat,
Echoes through the soul,
Bequeaths joy, so very sweet.
Lends hope, making hearts whole.

Love erases the darkest night,
Whispering with gentle grace,
Reflecting the song of its light,
Brings wonder in every embrace.

Love breathes a prayer of hope,
Stirring the dreams, the muse,
Guarantees the soul can cope,
Singing a song that won’t confuse.

Love rouses the beauty inside,
Feelings so extraordinary, so alive,
Conveys perfection to ever abide,
Kindness that will eternally thrive.

Love reaches through the fears,
Conspiring with faith that lives,
Wiping away the most painful tears,
It’s serenity that just gives and gives.

Love pours out smiles of praise,
Arising to be a friend, adoring,
Light that is forever and always,
Its sensation is kind and restoring.

Love bonds hearts and souls,
With a magnificent beyond verse.
Love so powerful it completely controls,
Saving hearts from doubt that can coerce.

Premium Member She Dances

She dances
For a world running out of chances
Embrace the spotlight
Even if temporary we must fight
No longer content to chase echoes
When our skin changes like that of geckoes
The longer her eyes roll back
The world has less slack
If a dream can dream
Radiance may cast a solitary beam
When the cacophony fades
Our necks are held against the blades
Know this we must notice
If we're to blossom a blue lotus
Constraint through restraint
The chains leave her feeling faint
For her existence is ephemeral
But only if we reconcile her moral
Only when we trade iron prisons for green
Can true transcendence be seen
When green paper is worth less than life
Life may endure with less strife
And with tears in my eyes
I would like nothing more than to burn the lies
As she stands a mere breath
From a lonely death
Observed by an impassive population
That cheers our incoming desolation
Apocalypse is to kiss her lips
Beneath the burning eclipse
She dances
For a world running out of chances
When the clock strikes midnight
We say good night

In the world of love, where illusions reside,
Where hearts can be bruised and souls collide,
We chase the echoes of a pixie tale.
Believing in love will never fail.

But for many, love was a ceaseless rain.
Pouring down with tears of pain.
Love is not a storybook delight.
But a torment that haunts us day and night.

Heartache and despair are its loyal friends.
Scarring our souls until the suffering never ends.
Love is an avalanche of emotions untamed,
A painful, deceitful game that cannot be tamed.

It shines as brightly as a brilliant flame.
Still, it ultimately fades as a crying shame.
A hoax that vanishes in the wink of an eye.
With only misleading claims, lies, and cries.

It's a myth, a tale full of risk.
That can leave us broken and lost in the abyss.
In the world of love, where illusions reside,
We must learn to navigate the tide.

Although love hurts, it has the power to mend.
If we shed the past, we free ourselves to bend.
It may be tough, but we must not yield hope.
Love can provide unfathomable bliss and scope.

In the dreamlike world of romantic love.
It is true that pain and crashes might shove
But in the throes of the chaos and strife
Love has the knack to restore us to life.

Though pixie tales may paint a picture so bright,
Love is a journey, not just an overnight.
It's a roller-coaster of emotions we ride,
With twists and swirls that cannot be denied.

(Dedication: For the pilgrim wayfarer in each
human face; and for my family, with love.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Joy speaks of peace when love funds flow;
Calm now floods ease in inner glow.
Faith knows the way that hope finds love;
Devotion stays with truth above.
Go to a place where stillness calls;
Leave time and space as silence falls.
Arise my heart, let mind be still;
Soul journey starts with zest that fills.
Take time to pray beyond word spell;
Do not delay this lovely dwell.
The passing clouds tell of a glimpse;
Veils hide from proud but faith shows scheme.
Sit and align both heart and mind;
Spirit now finds a healing kind.
There is a time for prayer rhymes;
Let the bells chime as stillness mimes.
Words beyond words now echo here;
Joy seldom heard in soul's deep cheer.
Time within time, the stillness waits;
Sutras now chime here at soul's gate.
A mantra tints the fragrant hall;
Vision now hints as bliss sweeps gall.
The auric chant of this soul dance
Now feeds a charm in a deep trance.
Sounds repeat strains in mystic psalm;
Soul feels most plain the magic calm.
Echoes from far nudge deep within;
On flight of stars the child unseen.
Prayer funds joy in ecstasy;
Here love employs clear harmony.
Deeper than deep this inner shore;
Beyond deep sleep a precious core.
I sit here now as sutras come;
A muse endows the words I sum.
No man can write beyond the whole;
Words cannot cite the peace of soul.
I fly to space beyond all time;
I glimpse a face that hurls my rhymes.
Not I, not I, but a dear whole;
I simply try that profound Soul.
Then, I awake to sure aware:
For sutras stake what mantras bare.
Oh pilgrim dear, the night now ends;
Grace comes to cheer with sure Godsend.
Premium Member What makes me smile
A memory of your tender, radiant grin,
 Your warm embrace, your gentle, sweet kiss,
 My heart glows with delight and joy within—
 In your presence, I simply can’t resist.
 When my grandchild grows bored of every toy,
 I propose a classic game: hide and seek.
 Her laughter when she finds me brings me joy—
 My whole being lights up with every peek.
 At times, I sit alone, feeling adrift—
 Then a caring voice on the phone revives me.
 Across the line, hope and connection shift,
 Dissolving solitude, setting me free.
When illness keeps me resting in my bed,
 My family’s visit lifts my weary soul.
 Their comforting words flow until I’m fed
 With warmth and care that make my spirit whole.
 In moments strained by sorrow and despair,
 When I yearn for strength to face the pain,
 You appear, a steadfast friend who dares
 To lift my spirit—my smile returns again.
 I watch the cherry blossoms paint the sky,
 And see children reaching for the ripe fruit—
 Their laughter echoes, making spirits fly,
 Their simple joy becomes my own pursuit.
 Seeing someone familiar after time apart
 Sparks a warmth that radiates so bright.
 In that embrace, my soul and heart
 Find once more their soothing light.
Premium Member ELEGY FOR CHEESESTEAK-The Bruised Bird
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We called you Cheesesteak,
silly name for a bird
who wore night’s ink
on one spread wing,
white milk on the other.
You chirped and hopped
between the sun and its shadow.

Then silence.
No flutter in the cage at dusk.
Only Stella’s gaze,
her green and unblinking eyes,
staring at the windowsill—
her tail flicking,
a slow metronome
counting down to something.

Now only empty echoes
where your song once lived.
The perch sits bare,
like a skeleton.
Even the seeds you dropped
look like graves
in the carpet’s weave.

I buried you
‘neath the mighty oak’s great ribs.
Now fly, little ghost, to wider skies
beyond the reach of vicious claws.
Rest in peace,
Cheesesteak.
The cage is open.

Prize then fine health for love works best,
Rise to the theme where joy can spring;
Opt to grow wealth in lovely quest,
Feel that grand dream where cheer now flings;
Observe the times for wisdom comes,
Urge poise to know fond style of play;
Note sensuous chimes that happy sums,
Do nurture glow that funds each day.
Explore the feel of senses bold,
Choice starts the flow of precious mood;
Hurl voice that heals as truth unfolds,
Options can grow greatness and good;
Express the truth as beauty shows,
Success funds proof in sparkling flow.

FROZEN SOUVENIRS (( Collaboration * Nette OnClaud ))

by~ NETTE ONLAUD

frozen with pain she woke to find daybreak
slumped on her crumpled bed again, laid back, cast
aside from god knows what, an unbecoming haven.

at least, this time, this bed was hers and hers alone,
dimly broiled by smells of yesterday gone
stale, drooping limbs to vaguely unbecoming souvenirs.

no longer wrestling fires but lighting them,
hope drained from flesh that craved for expired lotion
crush-boned dreams mocked her unbecoming senses.

she backed off tears that asked how this all happened,
plunging into her heart’s junkyard searching for answers
from wounds buried in near burial of an unbecoming night…

by~ POET D.

Gently she is weaving in and out of her own bed near the sea ledge,
faith will be drawn in the sand near the watery shores
broken down heartsick sea walls of loneliness will triumph

yet another frozen sad mood, a shadow that feels like it will last forever,
only to rest upon her own will of over flown solitude lids
her eyes are still like fireflies throughout the ebony in the dark night sky

The lengthy halls carry echoes in which silence the memorized souvenirs
dusk announcing the end of another frozen day;
there she sits in an incubator waiting to hear her name in the wind

A deeper, more intense treasure she found in her own reflections
with an open mind she is in mourn in hopes that these feelings don't last long —
a few hours or maybe a day or two she will bliss it all away

Somewhere in the closet of my mind
Reside the many thoughts I left behind
The one’s I put aside without a care
The one’s I lacked the courage, then, to share

For in my youth I feared the ruler’s sting
Responses to the song I dared not sing
As silence weakly battled my despair
I slowly crept to where I didn’t care

T’was then, I heard a voice that startled me
Shout: "it is your voice, go now - set it free"
This voice, this tone, this echo of your being
Echoes but the truth of what you’re seeing

So speak those thoughts of now and then and when
Rethink them and release them once again
