To secure admission that year like say I be iron shelf
As Baba God pilot am
The awaited day land

Without bullet for my hand
Na make my sleepless night for pay
Sure say Baba God know my pain
A week later the result date

The nocturnal routine call started but I was certain
There is fire along the mountain, yet don’t know
If I should run or wait, get water and quench it
I insisted that she share her feelings with me
For I can be trusted or I cut off the day’s duty
She bogged at last, “it wasn’t you or anything”
Then, what?, who is it or what is it in your mind?”
“My spirit is no longer down with the relationship
As I was praying, I felt my spirit no longer agrees”
I got lost on phone for I wasn’t thinking straight
My feet became very cold, yet my body was all hot.
“What did you just say? “ “I’m sorry, you heard me”
Well, break it down, I need to know all, tell me
At least why you’re stopping this dream and fantasy now
I can’t get it myself, please, I am confused . . .
But I still want you to come over as planned
Sorry, so that I can be embarrassed by you abi? No
You just said your spirit was negative about it
I said what did the Lord say about us? Sorry, about me?
Did HE say that I wasn’t good for you or that I’m fake?
Please, I’m sorry, just stop it now or else will cry . . .
I am waiting if that will make it clearer to me, talk to me
“Please, just come over, so that we can talk it over, please”.
Two and half hours gone by on this new puzzle
Still find it very unbelievable, me again on phone?
Quitting another relationship with me on phone
Within six months interval, Lord! Why me again?
“Talk it over and declare the relationship as being over
Or talk it over and see the darkness era being declared over! “
I will go and see her, will not chicken out at this stage.

A POET LAST WISH
Thou my day spent like,
The sun in sky.
Shined like a diamond in
The diaper,
My life thought pored out rays,
A solider thought about going
And not coming.
A king that has not been crowned
Ah! Ah!! Ah!!! It is only when
Its down you remember the sun.
I the creator of images from thought
The creator of symbolism from mind
The molder of life’s by my writing
The molder of conscience by images
If I could write my own part,
I will not be gotten
If I could see the days to come
I will be remember now, but late gotten
Tell my children, children, children, am a poet.
The hero that was note given
Part poet
I have not fought any war but
Human conscience
Now my heart heavy after
Death I am a hero
REASONS OF WRITING
It is written after reading biography of so many poets that it is only after dead that they are remember. So am saying that I should be remember when am alive or tell my children. It is the wish of a very body to know the extend in which he/she has contributed to life. It is also the wish of poet to be remember when they are still alive. Dedicated to all poets. Place of writing
Igonigoni in Abi Cross River State Nigeria.
MESSAGE
1. One importance is not always acknowledge until they are gone, A poet wants it to be turn aside to be acknowledge when still alive.
2. That they should be remember now and tell his children, children, children that he is a hero but he has not fought any war but conscience.

If God be name given to a supreme being, wey you be my father, my brother my friend, den why anor know your real name?
Dem say prayer be conversation, wey adey talk to you every day so why you no dey do same?

“Wait! Wait!! Wait now Driver !!!
Your passengers still dey down
Which kain Driver be dis sef?
Those ladies never enter abi?”
Passengers stood up echoing angrily
Some hitting hard at the snail-like Marcoppolo
Alas! The man behind the wheel paused.
The left passengers rushed in
All ranging with anger
Alhaja’s fury got to the crescendo
She was fell twice before hooking up
To the cat-walking moving house.
Pacing up and down inside it
The man still raining abuses on all we
And the one who conducts him joined
The Alhajas, they harassed to our chagrin.
Unto the ears of the Boss of the Man
Behind the wheel she beckons
“ He must pay dearly for this”
She echoes, trying not to sob.
At the very park of the vehicle in Zaria
The Alhajis . . . we and others complained
That a slow mad man was wheeling our lives
We want him no more to wheel our lives
There comes the change of the Driver
As we all laughed and giggled to Kaduna.

Abiding in God’s love, I abound in His grace
Blessed with His salvation of eternal life’s rays
I live for the Lord in His might thru all my days.
Guided by the Holy Spirit for righteous ways
Assured am I to triumph in my Christian race.
Illumined thru His Word along faith-ushered pace
Led by His truth, I’m prospered* upon service-base.
Quest for His favor, I do with His sovereign mace
Upheld against deceitful yeas or scheming nays
Imparted with divine nature of holy brace.
Zealously, He meets my needs devoid of delays
Offering sweet fellowships where I seek His face...
Now and forever, I thank Him with wondrous praise.
III John 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Happy Birthday, Abi. It’s my prayer that the Lord will continually bless you as you live for Him.
Abi - A Dedication
There’s only on story I’m likely to read
It’s about this boy, who planted a seed
It sprouted so high, to Heaven proceed
And filled out the skies, from Earth’s precious feed.
If I could perform just one glorious deed,
A seed in your heart, my life’s dearest need.
There’s only one person I’ll always turn to
To colour my life - yet never feel blue
It’s Abi for me, no other will do
Cos when I am sad, I’m still happy for you.
Although you may think these feelings untrue
I surely feel glee - and ‘Abiness’ too!
There’s only one place that I’d love us to be
One day, my dear Abi, I’ll take you to see
Maybe you’ll like it…or love it: Maybe..
Perhaps you’ll loathe it, but find you love me.
Well, dreams can come true, and hope comes for free
Our names shall be etched - at ‘Westminster’, Abi!
