The 100 year cold fall act I

The Pro: "Timmies grow under the heather yes, we hear that too, the shale rocks earthen faults and spouts meters and rhythmic soornteens like ask the cold fall moon."

Samara: "Oldest wept upon bridge, the lovers crest cradles the lover's bridge, two brigades that hold together the trust of men and women at arms, like wings sent Demeter into the fog

Samael: "Came, went, it's always the same, the old lion's mane, the goat's beard is the fashionable game."

(Anonymized character) "Stellar! Like the fickle few! We shouldn't press too much wine to winny while we mew!"

Helel: "Tomorrow never dies, the like-minded sun repressed, never dies in the night twin flames of tomorrow's best."

Aurora: "Timidity be slow upon the river pale the horse-drawn carriage has foregone the bitter yales."

Uraeal: "Goosed up for the gander? Myne thyne fyne lynes are wolly and not prancer!"

Gladius: "Gooseflesh la'amore? Sinnder down the doors and let from that lovingly pour!"

---End of act I---

Ode to Joni Mitchell

Joni, playing the jazz trumpet with your voice
Joni, who hated the music business
Joni, who was attracted to artists of all kinds
Like a moth to a roaring fire
Who in turn attracted and influenced like-minded minds
           Around your flaming heart
Inviting others in, hesitantly, less it hurts too much.

Joni, you grew older than your age
Joni, eternally young, for you have the voice of sincerity
And naked truth on your side.
The artist supreme.
You lasted longer on this green earth than your companion Vincent,
Your mentor Miles and the locksmith Signore Picasso, who unlocked many doors for you.

Joni, forever young
Forever in hearts who yearn to accomplish what you accomplished.
Not fame and recognition, but entering the holy of holies,
Into your inner core, where you made love to yourself.

Home is where the heart is, they say
Joni, you showed some of us the way home, and we are eternally grateful.

Joni, you laboured to express, rather than impress,
With your smattering of artistic bursts
Like a bright sun behind a cloud, unable to contain its light.

Premium Member MINGLE

We need to feel the cheer and inspiration of meeting
each other, we need to gain the courage and fresh life that comes from mingling of congenial souls of those working for the same ends
Quote by Josephine St Pierre Ruffin
   Publisher and Journalist

We mingle with like minded people here
across this worldly spectrum we appear.
A melting pot of thoughts turned into words
each one unique, when passion has occurred.

Yes, writing is a solitary game
however when you think, we're all the same.
Our universal language when we write
when mixed together makes us all unite.

Therefore, we mingle in our hearts and mind
creative forces seen when we're combined.
We are our words when all is said and done
We bare our soul with each and everyone.

Premium Member if I met my doppelganger

If I met my doppelganger
I would invite her to lunch
because I would like to know
how far our outside appearances go

Are we like-minded?
Will we agree on everything?
Does being identical on the outside
mean we support the same causes?

Would the president she loves
be my anti-Christ?
Would the bullying she respects
remind me of Hitler?

Would we like the same singers
Would we order the same things for lunch?
Fried shrimp with a loaded baked potato?
I imagine we will have a fine time.
Whether we agree on anything, everything or nothing.
As long as we steer clear of politics.

War, as the Treatment of Cancer

It’s about Iran, once again

I’m not pro-war or for bloodshed
Destruction for and many dead
When nations stop, expend resource
And hands are forced without recourse

A war is bad for all involved
Men lost while problem’s being solved
Angst, fright, despair - they all reign
While bombs come down like a rain

But war is tool, when talk’s no more
The threat is huge, command is “draw”
The fiend is bold, defiant, brash
And your existence he wants trashed

Been’ vicious to its own folks
While spreading carnage like a smoke
You can’t sit idle and ignore
Once done, they will be at your door

Like-minded scum gets to rejoice
They all gang up, you know the boys
To push, to conquer and assault
Can’t let this happen, else our fault

We may be wrong, we may be right
But do what’s proper, get to fight
And may the History be judge
Whoever wants may hold a grudge

Aim for the nukes to rule the world?
Fast-spreading cancer is unfurled
Then war is scalpel, use or die
The answer to the question “why?”

Incarcerated

Locked in a pod
With like minded souls
Like peas in a pod
Never peas in a bowl
Reconnected with God
Within I is what I know
My God who despises
The ones in control
We don’t always make it out
But to try is the goal

Love; this spiritual enlightenment.
How positive; to look past negatives.
Before, I knew not what forever meant.
Knowing now; passion that forever gives.

Like minded, I found fraud in many things.
Seemed; my every thought was already known.
The Reaper’s hymn played upon theses strings.
Pitiful, a King; without Queen at throne.

Beneath heavy ash; battling breath for breath.
It’s known, that flint lies quite before the spark.
When the last blow lands; you learn what is left.
It’s said, a mended bows still hits the mark.

Tried; the warriors who rejoice in pain…
It’s God’s own, you know; that dance in the rain-

Premium Member Hell had no room

They turned me away from Hell's Gate
Said I was too much of a reprobate
Said earth deserved me, and I deserved it
Besides, demons were on strike, wouldn't fire the pit.

So I went back to earth, a few memories erased
Looked for money to steal, lives to waste
Set up shop with like minded hoods
Took what wasn't ours, got away with the goods.

Then the strike was over, so a demon made a sell
He said we have a spot for you, down in hell
But I replied, "the government steals more
At least I'm aware I'm corrupt to the core."

"Twisted souls parrot the latest dreck
"On the turn of a dime, good men shot in the neck
"Take the other guys first, then we'll talk about me."
The demon thought, then had to agree.

So I may look old, but I still steal
Hurting the little guy retains its appeal.
My friends are hoods, and thugs, and punks
But hell can be selective for the other skunks.

The demons never came back for me
Hell was overflowing, over-capacity
So many applicants, such a waiting line
Before they get to me, it will be a long time.

Call it a Family

Life grew bland, banal, other B words
she said I need to gather a troupe
of like-minded sufferers
set up some auditions, form
a select band
we'll workshop the basics
characters, costumes

And then we'll act out the rest of our lives together
no need for cameras
or an audience
call it pure theatre
oh the dramas we will have

No it won't be any stranger than
singing in the parlour for friends
without a microphone, a paying crowd
you can call it the folk tradition

fabulous fabricated forlorn frenzied Franciscan fable
garnered garrulous geese gathered at Gloria’s gable
harboring a hangout for a hunter with Achille’s heel
identifying idiosyncrasies that are less than ideal
juggling jam-packed jokesters without a good joke
Keeping an eye out for kibitzers and kindly kinfolk
like-minded Lilliputian with a lullaby I like
manifesting mystical magic, then throwing down the mike

Premium Member Journey of Love

How does love travel...
    Like a huge E-M pulse ?
Is it planned or more spontaneous,
    Like a simple impulse ?

Can it search throughout the heavens,
    For its like-minded mate ?
Or does it yield to time and distance,
By the burden of its weight ?

It carries with it a great vision,
    Though it is often unseen.
As a potential building-block,
    Joining all those in-between.

So the force behind its power,
Is one that can't be quantified.
Yet it remains to travel freely,
    Amongst both common and rarified.

To the like-minded girl strangers

I am not a coward man de facto
Who has lots of curiosity courageous
With full of consciences in mind
Having to retreat from girl strangers

Who's looking for the Like-minded friends
Being young and pretty excels diamonds
They're attractive to distinct genres of men
And making them pride while being faint

I understand these be so-called romantic
But I must decline with responsible reasons
They may feel being treated ruthlessly
By me, en facto, being valued and respected
With conscientious rooting in consciences

Premium Member UNDERGROWTH

     Undergrowth painted on the canvas
showing kaleidoscope of feral flower bed.
     Simultaneous two human figures.
    Man is stepping forward
      on shrubs, herbs !
Do they belong to a couple or just met each other
    loitering on forest floor
    to explore beauty of Nature.

Not sure, whether face of woman looking front
or she has chosen opposite direction.
    Long slender straight vertical .
Stems of parallel plants seem branchless.

    Lady in gorgeous glossy green
Man in printed black and printed green .
     Both looking fresh and clean,
     looking matching each other.

Pleasing pretty panorama in calm cool ambient.

Man and Woman : Both may be loners -
   whether holding a relationship
     or even be unfamiliar,
yet free frolic and mostly like -minded,
     as forest lovers.
Both are sure to interact in happy mood
    enjoying sublime serene solitude .

     Whatever might be,
Both love to walk on pathless wood
    Potion of peace offering bliss
amidst glory and glamour of Greenery :
   Soft soothing simple scenery
