Mountains beyond reach 
Dreams vanishing 
Silver coins gleaming 
Empty spaces to luxury 
Painted beautiful clouds 
Indigo prints through smoked storms

Travelling water-falls

Golden radiant sun

When Lightening Strikes

So whom does the lightening 
strike ?
While your hiding behind 
that big oak tree. 

Lightening

Lightening illuminating the sky
It’s beautiful yet gives a fright
Going to shut off my pc
Hoping it won’t shock me
Thundering a sound that booms
Effecting me jumping across room
Neon night with rain in tow
I wonder about the birds are they cold
Not one bird complains for 
God takes care of them I’m sure

A Lightening strike
hit a tree in the back yard
resembles toothpicks.

Along With The Thunder

It wasn’t the lightning
that split me--
it was the silence that came before.
That breathless hush
like the world holding its tongue
right before it screams.

I have learned
to count the seconds
between betrayal and the crack--
the flash of what you did,
and the roar of who I became.

Don’t tell me
to be soft in this storm.
I was soft
when I begged,
when I bled

Biting Rain

Rain is biting the building’s raspberry roof
Making a meal hard like a cold blue tooth
And the wind blows yes hear it wail
A lone leaf floats like a boat with a sail

Lightening strike as if bowling
Knocking down pins some rolling
Striking tree tops even some poles
Hitting some crops even some souls

The Little Girl who learned to love Lightening

When Gabriella was 5 there was a terrifying storm.
She woke up and screamed as loud as she could.
No-one answered so she ran into her parent’s bedroom.
Her Mother and Father were hiding under the bed.
Gabriella crawled under the bed with them.
All night the lightening crashed and seemed to be very close to their house.
Some thing strange

Falling like lightening

From the clay moulded into being a substance 
Intoxicating spirit born free with moral choice intact 
inside the living waters breathes with life salt based 
unto moving forms crying for love unconditional pearls drop
Where it begins shape shifting vices around desires to kill 
Through a fire's ash with smouldering embers  
in all that remains

balls of lightning 
scrape the darkness
off my bedroom window
desert hills illuminated
thundering growls 
of a grumpy giant 
rumble through the night
while my pillow squishes
against my chest
like you
loud huffs and puffs
scatter twigs, leaves and dust
across the concrete
sky's all swollen up
and the earth pants
in anticipation
bucking
to meet the clouds
ravished trees rustle
thirsty for so long
dry blades of grass 
stand so

Storm Dancing

I heard the thunder,
a sound from seventy-four,
Bringing the lightning,
With nowhere to run and hide,
Did you feel that purple storm?

I saw hope dance through lightening

An eerie glow swallows up the sun as our men lie wounded,
Brass against iron, loud clanks of armor, and the glorious hymn of victory,
Today we are knights, and our bodies float above the crushing tides of lamentation,
So don’t you look down at me, and remember my name every time you glare,
Because we are knights, and

The strike of lightning
 trembles the dry dusty ground 
before rains downpour

laser show in sky 
battle of good and evil 
in darkness of night

Out My Window

Leaves, rustling on summer, in June
Leaves, wishing for fireflies, in tune
Rain falling, reflecting God’s grace
Rain stirring hope with its embrace

Leaves, on the ground, silent and sure
Leaves wistful, laughing, so demure
Rain dripping love you won’t erase
Rain stirring hope with its embrace

Leaves, swaying with the breeze, gusty
Leaves dancing like earth’s not dusty
Rain and snow, storms for hearts
