the trombone had never been more appreciated or loved
frog dressed up in his best striped pants, his hands well gloved
took the instrument to the bog and began to play a merry tune
the evening was lightened by the brilliant light of the harvest moon
kinfolk had no idea how talented he was, their relative, Chay
his own mother was stunned at his ability; she met a new son that day
He did not stop at the trombone, he learned to play drums and the strings.
Then he ran off to Arkansas to play with an orchestra, in Hot Springs.

She is in silver colored clothes,
Alike the flowing moonlights
Slithering on the surface of ice
Of the pond, feelings are frozen
And melting by the dazzling flare
To restore ripples lingering again
Into meek crystal hares
Wandering in your gaze
With full of glimmering lights
My shyness find no place to hide
And my soul helpless seized
I noticed them as lively as the breeze
And as vivacious as the lightened opal
And your body winding as the hills,
Both its highness and convexity fit math
I am unsure if I flee away anymore
Floating fond with this natural elf around
I wish I can fly as you do, but I can't

Deep dark clouds, blackened each other, and a darkened sky, unfolds
motifs taming tenth around an unbridled mayhem , a hardened solitary oasis
Unruly a mayhem, entropy to the fullest ecstacy - obscure a causal willy horizon, enjambment
An absorbed night and a maiden skyline trembling fearful and uneasy
Again and again, a sudden surge of lightened whims, whistleblower preposition
Lightning followed by lightning struck in series, cacophony of the call lit up the dark oblivion
Trembling and shaking, the tempest and the gala, in the twinkle of an eye, on and on
Darkest deep overshadowed the heap , black and the glory
The clouds and the thunderbolt , a sleepy sky , speechless and without a clue
Awakened all of a sudden ,a bit salt of the poseidon, turner of the muse and the seven seas.

Two of my most cherished beauties
I have loved them both
In ways that defy words, penned or spoken
Lightened by them
Holding me in their hearts
Despite our distance
Physical or that which we create
It never stops flowing
There whenever it is needed
Knowing when it is most
Like a song inside our heads
Slow dancing barefoot
Leading, forgetting, being led
So natural and effortless
Just like us

Lord, I come to thee
with a broken heart and a contrite spirit
with a hope
You will never disown me.
Lord, I come to thee
with many wounds and bruises
with a faith
you will bind and heal me
Lord, I come to thee
with discouragements and disappoints
with a conviction
You will comfort and console me
Lord, I come to thee
with a load of care and burdens
with a credence
You will yoke and share with me
Lord, I come to thee
with a lost hope and path
with a belief
You will lead me and guide me
Prayer
Is His presence
where my wearied soul finds rest
and His will is fulfilled
Is Partnering with HIm
Where my burdens are lightened
and His plans are executed
Is Bringing joy to Him
where I run into His open arms
and rest assured of my eternity

She walked through the Valley of Death,
As a loved one was laid to rest,
One of pure spiritual wealth,
Witness endured every true test.
Feeling alone and so depressed,
Slowly walked away with head bowed,
Heart was hurting under great distress,
Dread hung over like a dark shroud.
Approaching the path toward home,
Heard a noise coming from behind,
Strange, she thought everyone had gone,
But friends were walking alongside.
Grateful to see friendly faces,
And receive their warm embraces.
Thankful to have such welcome guests,
To help in her deep grieving quest.
There was a strong divine presence,
An Emmaus Road occurrence,
For Jesus was among the folk,
That lightened her heavy yoke.
A cloud of witnesses on earth,
Filled with love and heaven’s worth,
A lesson from God on His throne,
With Jesus, no one walks alone.

the sun throwing shade
the leaves all turned and they left
the sky remains blue
the sun cast shadows
the leaves are turning colors
the sky lightened blue
the sun bled gold mauve
the leaves mimicking the sun
the white sky falling

would be best
if our actions and tongues
spoke the same language
would be best
if our actions our words
truly expressed
would be best
if our words honestly
professed
would be blessed
our personal lives
our politics
if all the lies
were aired
and addressed
Lightened by truth
before one's soul is weighed
and processed

The chains of yesterday, now worn and frail,
Once heavy, they are lightened with each day.
In freedom's early light, our hearts set sail.
New dawns unfold with skies of hopeful blue,
Each sunrise brings fresh dreams to light anew.
The world awaits a chance to start anew.
Yet echoes of the past can softly bind,
Whispers of old fears that linger in the dark.
Yet freedom’s flame within is what we find.
The chains of yesterday, now worn and frail,
Each sunrise brings fresh dreams to light anew.
Yet freedom’s flame within is what we find.

_*_When we met*__
When we met
God's clock was set
You were cool,
I was snool.
You cared
I shared
Your fortitude,
Changed my attitude.
You explored
I analysed
From Your prowess,
I learnt firmness.
From academics to administration,
You are known for your compassion.
In depth and in detail,
Words will never derail.
Innovation and incubation,
Strong is your communication.
Resources were petty
Your act showed liberty.
Fighting against all odds
Fetched you the rewards.
You created a benchmark
Sustainable goals set as hallmark.
Every beginning has its end
Handing over is a trend.
You have paved a path,
Lightened by alnath.
God's clock will keep ticking
We will keep on meeting.....

There’s a dark place where I used to live that sucked me in down deep.
The walls were huge, imprisoning and slippery and steep.
Anxiety, depression, panic attacks just grew and grew and grew,
until I felt so ill I couldn’t cope anymore with what to do.
My mind grew foggy, and illnesses came to me more and more.
I felt I was going crazy immobilised to my core,
Then slowly the dark place lightened as I climbed out bit by bit,
painful, steep and torturous I was supported out that pit
I’ve now escaped that awful place that used to be my home
but every now and then I hate back there my mind will roam.
And triggers from that dark time make me anxious worried teary, immobilised and scared, my body and mind so weary.
There’s a dark place where I used to live that sucked me in down deep,
but despite the odd visit back there I’m out, loved and not needing to weep.

In the quiet of the evening light,
Where shadows stretch and day turns night,
I whisper softly, through my tears,
To the friend I've held so dear.
You were my rock, my guiding star,
Together we have come so far.
Laughter shared and secrets kept,
In memories where we have wept.
Like sisters bound by fate and choice,
I hear your heart within my voice.
Through ups and downs, and twists of time,
Our souls have danced in perfect rhyme.
Now paths diverge, as seasons change,
Life rearranges, feels so strange.
A final hug, a whispered prayer,
I leave a piece of my heart there.
Though miles may grow between our days,
In spirit, you will always stay.
No goodbye can break the thread,
Of love that's spun and softly spread.
So here’s to you, my truest friend,
My sister till the very end.
In every dawn, in each sunset,
A part of you, I'll not forget.
THIS POEM IS DEDICATED TO MY SWEET LOVING BESTIE+SISTER WHO HAS LIGHTENED UP MY LIFE WITH HER PRESENCE ALTHOUGH JUST A FEW YEARS BUT THOSE BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS MEAN AN ETERNITY TO ME.
STAY HAPPY WITH THE NEW PEOPLE YOU MEET BUT BETTER NOT FORGET THIS IDIOT OF YOURS.
LOVE.

“One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life. The word is love.”
-Sophocles, Greek Poet
Out of the shackles of turbulent night,
Through the dark meadow to redemption light,
Freed captives of a menacing shadow,
We can look out of an open window.
Held by a warm and compassionate hand,
Led to a beautiful and blossoming land,
A symphony of glee pervades the room,
Out of the hold of the tendrils of gloom,
Hope adds colours to a shadowy day,
The feet find a sure harmonious way,
The mind sees beyond the looming sorrow,
There’s an entry of a new tomorrow.
Lightened of the weight, we see with new eyes,
Love aids us to disperse the gloomy skies.

That autumn morning, when I first saw you
Tall and handsome, draped in a suit,
I felt life, throbbing within
Never to leave me.
Shorn of love and feeling for days
Burnt screams of emptiness
Had resonated in my heart’s crevices.
Without a name.
You brought me relief and rescued me
from bearing the burden of historical anchorage.
Swept me off my feet, resonating
Ceremonial celebrations.
Your careful maneuvers, knowledge and style,
in structure, orchestrated a symphony of dreams .
in the rooms, in every corner and breath
Culture resonated.
.
Disconnected, yet with a regard
You shaped me in your taste.
I felt my being rapture, with a sweetness
Unspoken of.
No longer empty, I felt myself glow.
Chandeliers, banisters whispered gratitude.
I felt life ripple through meetings over dinners.
Anniversaries over years.
Then one day you left.
A change. Catastrophic.
Knocks or footsteps no longer sound.
Nor curtains or candles lightened
The gloom of emptiness
Dark and deep.
A mass of broken brick and mortar now,
Shorn of cemented hopes in my crevices---
I feel shattered, ashamed of being
damned. Dilapidated.
