The youthful days 
of hopeful dreams 
and tears that trickled 
into streams? 

Love that flourished 
in the sun 
and faded 
as quickly as it had begun? 

Where are they now, 
the incense prayers, 
high as hopes 
to one who cared? 

The carefree days 
of fearless whims, 
the joy of voicing 
songs and hymns? 

Where are

You learn more about people when they die

Shape of the mouths
Silence of the footsteps
Harmony  of the tears
Firmness of the handshakes
Emptiness of the buffet


Declare:
Were they in love or in need.

Nothing lasts  forever
Good and evil conclude
Pain and joy resolve
And life has expiration
Careful not to soar or plunder
All things end

I Am An Old Codger

Improving our status requires hard work. 

An abundance of years has made us old.
Majority of school mates have gone on.

And accelerating days increase our speed
Newly reborn by accepting Jesus as my personal savior.

Only as old as we feel.
Liar, liar, pants are on fire
Death has it’s eye on us.

Cozy was not synonymous with old.
Objective in life,

Each dawn arrives with thrills forever new,
Each sunset brings delight beyond compare.
Allow the good Lord to comfort you, 
Like a mother comforting the child in her care.

Let us enjoy the best seasons of our lives,
Let His everlasting arms cradle tight.
