Premium MemberSong of Silence

Stillness floods my soul
Rhythms of peace, to console
Lifting me higher, like hope
Restoring God’s grace so I can cope

Quiet whispers, a song of grace
Pouring forth wonder to gently embrace
Singing through the thunder, praise
His sweet voice will surely amaze

Silent prayers, lifted to the skies
Meant to bring glory that is life size
Revealing the music that plays inside
Those who are servants who ever abide

Remembering the feelings, the glory so wise
Startling the moments with His wonderous surprise…
Wherever we are, whatever comes in our life
He is the answer to all doubting or strife –

He is the reason we can know peace within
He is the wonderful who has always been…
The still in the breath, the song in the wind
He brings forgiveness to all of us who’ve sinned.

I’ll never stop believing He saved me completely
His love flows across my heart, so tender and sweetly
Bringing me assurance that His light will never dim
Because He is the song of forever – the joy in each hymn

Premium MemberA Constant Pain of Rain

A constant pain of rain.
The roll of tires through town.
The wipers dab my face -
Eye clouds suspended tears.
In Spring, I’ve lost my place.

A constant pain of rain.
The shock of scented air.
Grave roots push up, stem bends.
The sideways shower guts.
The heartbreak never ends.

A constant pain of rain.
I’m driving through the storm.
I squeeze raindrops, life-size -
In tribute, clutch mom’s cross.
Each Spring brings notched goodbyes.

The Weather Lorax

Just before Christmas 2021
A historic wind storm
Setting a new norm
Swept across us all

Continental Divide sigh
I told you so

Tornadoes spun from Minnesota snow
Blew out a Kentucky candle factory
Days before

Tropical hurricane here in Michigan

My lit up life-size Christmas bear
Wobbled around the bare backyard
Side to side
Like an old man on bad hips

Or a bow-legged cowboy
Hands on holsters
Pacing steps to the final showdown

I draw

In shorts T-Shirt and Birkenstocks
Santa cap

He howls to the ground
Upside down
Shaking in the foreboding wind.

Premium MemberButterflies and Swans

Does the caterpillar understand
it will become a butterfly so grand
Does the tiny ugly duckling realize
it will be a gorgeous swan, life-size

Does the blind, featherless baby robin know
that off into the sky, it will breathtakingly go
They, of course, can't imagine these things ~
That requires a human mind with wings

Premium MemberLucy

Lucy, my rescued red ear slider terrapin,
just having a swim in her aquarium,
right above a life size human skeleton,
lying on the bottom,
which she occasionally will chew on.

Why don't I get many visitors?,..
.. I can't begin to imagine.

The Bird

I saw a bird fly by
In allures so its tail appealing it was
Its tail swayed here and there
Like this and like that
As it flew flee free
It leapt from tree to tree
I wanted to hold it by grip tight
But wary my scheme was commonplace at its sight
It seemly had a rat smelt
So It did fly away anyway
So many petite birds that came and went there seems
Or, so many life-size birds that flew by
What a reflection of crude splendor stunning?
I snooped as they chirped and clapped
Their charming song tantalizing
And rhyme wasn’t muddled
Small and big birds that did fly by
Some embedded with huge broad beaks
That seemed so unkempt.

Premium MemberCalamity Jane

Everyone was staring
Frozen in their seat
Down the stairs
Made quite an entrance
Calamity Jane
Without her underwear

Her buxom figure
Generously in full view
For everyone to see
Down the stairs
All watched Calamity Jane
In her birthday suit

The whole incident
Might have gone unnoticed
But no such luck
Frozen in their seat
Mouth wide open
Everyone just stared

Down the stairs so clumsily
Had I not tripped
No doubt we could have
Saved the life size portrait
Of Calamity Jane
Au naturel

I Found My Head

I Found My Head

In a Thrift Store, I found my passion,
A life-size carving of a wooden head;
I thought it would be a piece of conversation,
Unfinished though it was, I want it, I said.

The head is under a schefflera and speaks
It says "finish me please so I can know who I am,
Funny, though, guests give him a wide berth,
"I'm a great deal for $10.00 as a doorstop jam."

I wouldn't sell or give my head away,
For some aspiring artist with a chisel played,
And would be so pleased that the old thing sold,
It's my head to keep and have and hold.

Premium MemberImpasse

I am looking for new ways to bedazzle you.
But I am at an impasse and I can't move.
I feel like a bird with no wings,
Like a ship with no sail,
Like a car with no engine,
Like a swimmer with no water,
Like a runner with no track and field.
In my mind I move my feet but I don't move.
I want to wow you like I once did.
I want you to be in awe of me.
Your approval means the world to me.
I long to see you smile from within.
These words are spoken every day and
night to a life size mirror on the wall.

APOLLO 11 BRIGHTENS OUR FUTURE

Beyond the twinkling stars, so still - the dark.
We strive for greater things - the Moon and Mars.
And Venus we do praise her beauty mark.
Our Milky Way - homogenized gold stars.

Forgotten Pluto, runt, invisible.
And mando Jupiter, so powerful.
Each planet thrives alone, divisible.
Our great universe quite so beautiful.

Astronaut stands heroic with flag plant.
We stare up at the shining white rapt moon.
We dream to see a microscopic ant
or life-size man, on the right side of June.

The mysterious sky lights up each face.
The night unveils our future life in space.

Penny For the Guy

Boom! Goes the deafening rockets!
Shocking to the ears,
November’s here again,
Sometimes for celebrations other! Terror,
Dark night skies lighten up with beautiful colors,
Children re-enact the failed attempt
Of Mr, Guy Fawkes
Trying to blow up the House of Lords,
With his gunpowder,
Still remembering him today,
And his plot to kill!
We’re reminded of it with every crash,
And the life-size effigy of this criminal,
Sat perched on the street,
Or pushed around in the pram,
Until we throw him on the bonfire,
Penny for him! Please,
Excitement the fires are lit,
Catherine wheels and sparklers,
Hot roasted chestnut!
England goes into chaos
Rubbish is collected,
That scary night is over,
Leaving a smokey atmosphere,
And the ringing in our ears
Until the next year dawns.

Life

Life silenced dash-
think and cry
life is pretty!
Frustration with life, the life of unrest
The way of life
I silenced a lot Life
Silenced the cast!
My life is blackhole
....Life in Hell
Life brackets () , the minus _
Silenced the beard.
Life is hard mind
life is open mind
on the sky raft
pretty life, smile life
Life in the daytime!
Life in my mid - afternoon,
Strong heat of the sun
Life plus, life death
dash life size!
Silenced loses the pulse of life
minus silenced life.
The comma, the colon
bloody life!
Life cloudy, life ashes
Life dog rain
Life saratakasa silenced,
What is amazing!
 my life.......
Life and death trap
Silenced the laughter lines
Eid curved moon!
Star of Life hash × °
Table of Life
Life is sweet sour life
Talk about life!
Silenced the heck irritation
The life of heaven.
The comma, the colon;
zero zero life!
life is death after ...

No Mother Nature Today

I see the scape that is in front of me
There is no green today, no sound,
Just views from the window pane
Looking down on a life size model
Cars like cutouts, lined up all in a row
A visual from an architect’s mind
The sky is blue, the tar is black
Concrete paths so crisp and new
I don’t hear the sweetness of a birds call
Or the leaves shimmering from the breeze
No remnants of rain been and gone
I guess mother- nature is absent today
Preparing for her moments to shine
On a scene that is still yet to be
A place where her magic will breathe
Life, into the architects dream
