Terra Incognita

Diurnal moments margin in my head,
As metamorphosis pirouettes hands,
Nightmarish recall exit none be said,
An armistice mosey in of spilt sands.

Logjam beliefs wane gains, prosperity,
Erring hand fingered an island nation,
Right foresees windfall, voters clarity,
Left wins Red China, lost the election.

Past oversights also recent letdowns,
Amiss twentieth, twenty-first embed,
Ruse an angle nefarious look rounds,
Dame be a torpedo full speed ahead!

It is a jigsaw board, a puzzling face,
An instance period to bygone years,
A world in awe as one alters a pace,
A nation benign oddity brew peers.

Premium Member Two Decades

It seemed like yesterday
We deemed new hope in play.

Rare New Year did appear-
Its Two-Thousand premier!

Decade, times two, flew by-
We prayed peace would comply.

Aplenty letdowns massed-
by Twenty-Twenty's blast!

True Friend

I`ve had series of letdowns but not you,
Many were dishonest without regrets,
Your benevolence affixed like a glue.

Your words remove pests like beaks of egrets
on cattle; as they soothe the dying heart,
Many were dishonest without regrets.

You convey comfort through a pleasant cart,
While some conspire, your love spreads like wild fire,
on cattle; as they soothe the dying heart.

Your faith and wisdom, one needs to acquire,
As some practice gossiping for pleasure,
While some conspire, your love spreads like wild fire.

Helping the needy is your good treasure,
Malice and vengeance are not in your mind,
As some practice gossiping for pleasure.

True ,sincere friends are scarce and hard to find,
I`ve had series of letdowns but not you,
Malice and vengeance are not in your mind,
Your benevolence affixed like a glue.

CONTEST:"What a Friend Really Is" sponsored by Becca Lucas.

Unpredictable

Predictable we might see
Life is not just what we foresee
All circumstances might vary
We just need to be ready

But what is too predictable?
That life is unpredictable
The rich turns to pitiable
Poor men might then be bountiful

Truly one cannot really say
That our lives certainly stay
Happiness might come in our way
But grief would come in our dismay

Life has its fair share of letdowns
Smiles we would see but also frowns
Life really has ups and downs
But live gladly 'coz life's just once

Petals

A handful of petals
Scattered through the air
Sent with a smile
Watched with a prayer
Each took a seperate path
Gathering it's own triumphs and trials
Many wilted,many died
Leaving dead a part of life not to be
Friendship so like the petals
So many start, so many there
So many letdowns, so many tears
I've wished upon so many petals
But more are buried beneath the dirt
Buried beneath the tears, buried beneath the hurt
Yet, one still gently drifts in the breeze
One beautiful, fair, graceful
Coming to rest, it begins to bloom
Filling the air with sweet, fragrant perfume
But to no surprise is this fragrance oh so sweet
For all of nature knows
There's nothing sweeter than a rose

I'M Tired ...

I'm tired ...

I'm tired ...

The highs and lows
The wishing and the letdowns
The hope and the despair
I'm tired ...

My mind won't settle
In a hurry to think the worst
And yet to believe ...
I'm tired ...

My stomach never at ease
Quivers and crumbles and turns
And yet butterflies form ...
I'm tired ...

My heart - so abnormal
Pumps boiling blood while in numerous shreds
And yet it truly loves ...
I'm tired ...

My soul unrest
"Nervous," "Alone," and "Heated Fear"
    Quickly in the innards creep
And yet it feels and breathes the deepest depths
I'm tired ...

And why?
For what purpose?
Sense?
It makes none

Mind and heart conflict
Almonds puff and the face swells
Droplets pattern tracks in its chasms
And why?
For what purpose?

Just give up ... wait
Stay strong
Let go ... wait
Hold on
Forget ... wait
Remember ... remember then

I'm so tired

I Finally Understand Why You Can'T Go Home Again

The sun never shines here in south town
It’s only covered up
by a dust of regrets and letdowns
that i can never come clean of

the shadows dance in the alleyways
the darkness plays in the sun
the children all searching to find a way
for these shades of gray to be fun

we've been living on the wrong side of town
for way, way to long
we are lost when we wake up
still lost when we lay down
and i think it's time we find our way out

lately I’ve begun to notice
things haven’t changed at all
they are all the same
as they were when I was small

maybe my eyes have changed
maybe my life is stained
maybe I can’t understand
why the colors drain and the sun dims

maybe we've been living on the wrong side of town
for way, way to long
we are lost when we wake up
still lost when we lay down
and i think it's time we find our way out

Poetic Paradisiacal Moment

Involves words as you close your eyes the Word-guide leads you.
Each spoken or read word is like soothing oil for your tired soul.
You feel the comfort as well the love as the Word-guide caresses you.
Beautiful plant life likes never seen before gives your inner-soul total bliss.
Fragrance like never smelled before opens up your senses as flowers sing.
Smooth flowing river adding the background beat while you stand at the
shoreline.
You feel so at ease because your heart wants this glorious moment to last
forever.
Just to walk daily with no worry, no confusions and all other letdowns that creates
stress.
Replay this with universal music to lead your mind to that special quiet place
within you.
Continue to pray, because the Greatest Creator did promise that for his earthly
children.
