Two Decades

It seemed like yesterday
We deemed new hope in play.

Rare New Year did appear-
Its Two-Thousand premier!

Decade, times two, flew by-
We prayed peace would comply.

Aplenty letdowns massed-
by Twenty-Twenty's blast!
