Conceded to what the Doctor said
Said needed to squat over my head
Except for that Gecko
He just heard an echo
Said need to feed your Head more Un-Lead...
Lead...
lead...

A wonderland awaits,
For all who dare to enter,
To fall down through the ground,
And to the world surrender.
There anything can dare to pounce,
Or growl or prowl or prance,
Or break out in black pustules,
Spinning in a dance.
A world unsure in peachy fuzz,
Airs fizzing effervescent,
Adds new dimensions, onion layers,
A moon of seven crescents.
Down falls the leaded curtain,
Velvet shields the scene behind,
Of sweating swans with bleeding toes,
Cracked from pointe, those hollow bones.
And trichotillomaniacs,
Pluck out their flightless plumes,
So shot-down shrapnel downs,
Are hung on hooks as hunted gowns.

I can hear it crawl towards me
In the infinite moving dark
Claw turns to slither
Echoes without placement
Each sound closer than the last
My heavy breath giving voice
Breath cool on my face
Rancid in deceit
If I open my eyes
I can give my fear form
Not a muscle working in unison
Eyelids like ancient divers leaded boot
Stuck in the silt
Heart and breath in explosive race
Face to something not quite face
Don’t look
Let me see suns grace
Once more

Beneath the Rubble
Unfinished artwork waits on the shelf,
Hidden between dark pages,
Scribbles on paper long to be free.
As a lover waits, it too waits,
For the breath of life,
Seasons pass without promise.
In the womb’s dark, an embryo craves,
Nourishment, life’s blood,
“Edit me,” it cries, “Color me crimson.”
Forget not,
A story to be told,
A poem promised,
Longing.
The sun’s rays cascade through the leaded windowpane,
You wake to the quiet space,
Between thought and being,
A stirring deep within the heart.
You pause, reach for the notebook,
Blow off the dust,
Gently turn the page,
Hope.
Pen in hand,
Flesh exposed.
Red blood appears,
Life.
A sigh of relief,
The long-lost lover arrives.

Melodic ingenuity of Ludwig van Beethoven
raised music to the realm of art, cadence woven.
A piano virtuoso, he turned into a composer unique,
initiated the romantic era in coexistent classical music.
He infused momentum in symphony,
sonorous in the ninth with harmony.
A few love affairs he had,
but remained bachelor sad,
lived amidst failed romance in agony.
A romantic, he had a strong personality,
struggled heroically with deafness silently.
Despite affliction caused by leaded wine addiction,
composed transcendent music of designed perfection.

the old days were really good
going through your neighborhood
leaving doors unlocked for neighbors
to walk through if they need favors
or to visit for some fun
when did this whole world become
so scary and out of sync
people need to stop and think
about the way we are living
and realize we should be giving
more love, joy and peace to others
we used to be sisters and brothers
helping out whenever needed
please tell me whatever leaded
to the downfall of these gestures
that were like miracle fixtures
if someone was out and down
a helping hand just came around
to pick you up and hold onto
making sure to see you through
the tough times that made you fall
now there are just hateful walls
being built for us to see
this can't be our destiny

Rumi said,
“Polish the mirror of your soul
that it might better reflect God.”
An antique hand mirror,
the leaded glass is warped,
its wooden and carved frame cracked
yet keep polishing it.
One day hope to see
what has always
been in front of your face.

Craving for rats awhile
grippingly standing, leaded by the stomach;
Barks the hen over the Eagle’s tragedy
lands the hit on the mountain beak
sneaking the eye on shadows awhile;
Heading for the shadowy stones,
the Bald Eagle stuns the Hen awhile!
Captain hen jumping over awhile;
Here comes the talking break in a couple,
heads the cries o’er a mountain hill
breaking the abruptly weak
of the dawning sea awhile;
Shot the stone willingly the captain transiently
the Stone stunned the bald with it styled.
Sank the dreams of the henly Commander
Hearing the sound, ”Stared Me Momentarily!”
Comes home the com inhumanly alive
stunningly acting on a while.
Spiritual eagle hisses time and again,
“Stared Me Momentarily.!”
The Spiritual Soul stunned the Captain long a while!
Actions repay all the time.

Home sweet home on Christmas day.
Children and grandchildren
come, but not to stay
Home smells of pumpkin spice,
gingerbread cookies,
ham and turkey in the oven
Yeast rolls rising,
flickering cinnamon candles,
oakwood burning in the fireplace
The taste of eggnog and wine,
all that brings Christmas
and everything nice
Piles of gifts under the fir tree
The grandchildren on their knees
Poor babies, hate they have to wait
They wonder when that would be
After you eat before you can see,
grandma said
Dinner blessing, songs of praise,
singing Christmas carols,
voices in different tones,
barrels of delightful fun
Grandma sore to the bone and drained;
leaded punch didn't help to ease the pain.
Treasured and happy moments
comfort from the day.
Merry Christmas to all Poetry Soup family

I was really angry at God,
many folks are and many don’t know it.
Maybe you have to fall out with a lover
before you know you can live with them.
My father and mother were angry all of the time,
they lived in a slow simmer of loathing.
I and all my friends were angry,
nor could we explain why,
but the things we did and did not do
all arose as a hidden anger.
The anger came out as pimples, boils,
and blackheads.
Skin is a window for emotions.

Huddled within a canopy of trees
cozily wrapped inside a wooden cabin
earthy womb of must, dirt and dust
leaded glass windows set the scene
shadow and light dance through the pines
tea kettle whistles over a crackling fire.

So much to greet
with leaded hands,
so many observed you later
sans life...
Shot so much
arms in the wind
in so many sentimental
goodbyes ,
so much to have lived ...
of so much life in waves,
lacked hands
to applaud your
own life...
lacked scarves
for so much weeping ...
We were without gestures,
no hands...
and hands were
everything you had,
hands were
your love and your
sustenance ...!

My only i love
only one I love.
You are my path.
You are my destination.
Without you, no me.
That is why I seek you, tillseen you.
That is why I followed you over the sea.
That is why I crossed sea by swimming.
And never afraid anything in the sea.
And I never afraid death.
I asked myself that who am I?
I never got true.
Then I asked everyone in this world,
But no one leaded me to the true direction.
That is why I never gave up looking for you.
As I know that you are my true way.
Nothing can scare me to come where you are.
No place can be far to reach where you are.
I can even follow you in the hell.
You are my life and strength as well

Had a little too much leaded eggnog at Target's Christmas party,
sung karaoke with hardy Bullseye, he was a little smarty.
