The Mirror
Rumi said,
“Polish the mirror of your soul
that it might better reflect God.”
An antique hand mirror,
the leaded glass is warped,
its wooden and carved frame cracked
yet keep polishing it.
One day hope to see
what has always
been in front of your face.
