Gotta Love Alliteration 5-21-24
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gracious Grace
Endless effervescence of grace,
In riots of radiance, infected by innocence,
Seeks out the heart harassed by humiliation –
Wrapped in sleepless shrouds of incensed worry –
When alliterations of angst plunder soiled spirits with pandemonium
Grace, the eternal romantic, lavishes love.
Purity, born of playful purity,
Tames tempests of melancholy mistrals
As midnight murmurs into dawn’s jubilant joy
As dusky dews flow from fountains of forgiveness
With eternal elixirs from the everlasting
For the pensive plea of the penitent pilgrim.
Grace sings the ageless anthem of sweetest sanctuary
In honeyed breaths for the hobbled heart to inhale
Ever abiding loveliness, always in ascent,
Tingling with tenderness, opening soldered seas of sin,
Miracle made manifest in majestic melody
With promises penned in poems of peacefulness.
PARASITE
It’s a parasite’s world.
The worm of laziness
Clogging the mind,
Ego refusing change.
It’s a parasite’s world,
Seeping through one’s blood and breath.
Adoption, adaptation to change, an uphill task.
Ignorance, dark, deep, masquerading ugliness.
It’s a parasite’s world---
Where dependence is practice.
And excuses-- strategy, to design.
Deadlines met feverishly by others.
It’s a parasite’s world,
Where type of work affect quality.
Where comparison and perks galore
Stifling freedom, to create with responsibility.
It’s a parasite’s world,
Where, those who do and are willing
Get busted with jargon of abuse.
Euphemisms learnt and articulated.
It’s a parasite’s world
Where fear is fed with horror.
Where incompatibility and incompetency
Rule one’s hidden strength and power.
It's a parasite's world
where love lavishes in luxury
and 'Basic Instinct' given prowess
Suck out life from the 'highest of all species'.
If Ben-Gvir is a terrorist
    What is Bashar Assad?
  Whose hands are stained red
     from spilling fellow Syrians' blood
  If Ben-Gvir is a terrorist
    What is Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah?
  Whose 'soldiers' use children as shields
    Those 'brave men' of Hezbollah
  If Ben-Gvir is a terrorist
    What is Vladimir Putin?
  Who bombs water mains and utilities
    Nothing left for Kiev to ration
  If Ben-Gvir is a terrorist
    What is Mahmoud Abbas?
  Who lavishes rewards on 'freedom fighters'
    for dynamiting packed Israeli buses...
  Ben-Gvir is a force for law and order
    in a region overrun by anarchy and terror
  So, he's tough and no-nonsense
Premium Member Entertaining Her-
Maybe these those her eyes
 Her love lavishes me
For  I feel secure and just
Like a fine wine,
the relationship will get better with age
This is a man who likely enjoys his woman's company
They shall drink dine-in, partake of delectable foods
Rich in culture and mouthwatering desserts
I know, so you are having a nice candlelit dinner
We're sipping on some delicious cocktails
Enjoying the music or entertainment this
I, the man, want the Finer Things in life
This woman is going to be a grounding for him
This woman because she has, you know where
That's where he talks about being trained
Raised in the ammunition of the Lord?
Premium Member Winter Blue
On a crisp clear morning, the sky is deeply blue,
And in the distance I can see, blue mountains too.
Blue jay is in the tree, powdery snow everywhere-
The sky is in the lake, frosty clouds in the air!
The sun lavishes lemon rays, never quite outdone,
While Uranus and Neptune, waltz afar from the sun.
Premium Member Silver Gypsy Queen
She lavishes silver on herself,
Wears it on her fingers, and in her ears
Silver dangles from her ankles in little chime bells
She is a gypsy dancer; silver is her mantra
I had always sought out gold adornments
Silver though, awe, how it sparkles
As the cosmic hippie of the evening dances
Silver catches the happiness of the fire, making it laugh.
Entices me to sing and dance and whistle
Silver dances faster and harder
There must be some in her hair
Pixie dust for sure; I love silver now.
Premium Member Who Will He Listen To Now
I love you to pieces, unconditionally, the mama says to Peter.
She says this in actions, not in words. In her family you did not say it ever.
Pete’s father is demonstrative – I love you flows out of his mouth generously.
He lavishes “love you” on loving neighbors, friends, a hitchhiker he has met once.
Do you have a minute? Pete asks him.
His father assures him he does, but then he must rush off.
A friend needs a lift to work. On his return he is summoned to the phone.
“I never get to talk to him,” Pete complains to his mother.
“He is a rescuer,” she assures Pete. “He is busy being himself. No worries.”
By the time his father decides to sit down to listen, Pete has left home.
His mother has gone to heaven, and there is no one left for Dad to help.
Who will he listen to now?
Premium Member Vivacious Vivian
She is vivacious,
Yellow flecks in her eyes intrigue us
Her unleashed excitement is golden
She is nineteen, and confident
She lavishes us with enthusiasm
Her wit flickers like a flame on fire
We are intrigued, excited, alive!
Premium Member Muldune the Forest Chanter
Forest chanting is daily heard,
Our wild woman spreads her word.
Some may be startled by her tune.
Creatures call her their great Muldune.
Forest knows she is not absurd.
Muldune raised in wondrous forest way,
Lavishes goodness joy throughout her day.
The snake and mice to her do swoon.
Chubby bunnies honor her with their play.
Even if the day starts out dour or gray,
She can turn woods into something gay.
She brings optimism onward,
Muldune, so dainty, just like a bird.
Her drumming speaks with each sashay.
She starts fresh at the break of each and every day.
Joy of the Lord
Oh to experience the joy of the Lord, it is an indescribable feeling
That precious touch of His presence that lingers in good times and bad
He gives me beauty for ashes and strength where my human efforts fail
I confidently testify that the blood of Christ prevails.
He lavishes me with good gifts, and with talents to bring him glory
Joy in Him allows me to truly love my neighbours as I love myself
His joy brings peace and deliverance and His love is new every morning
I live to proclaim His name and represent Him in every way.
Oh to experience the joy of the Lord; It is a personal encounter
For God delights in the way I praise and adore Him
His glory envelopes me and fills my heart with gladness
I bask in His grace, love and His mercy towards me
What an awesome blessing to be a child of a King; I am royalty.
When I am weak and feeble, He makes me strong
True strength comes only from Jesus Christ who gives joy and makes everything alright.
Premium Member Cinnamon, Sage and Chili Powder Please
Cinnamon, sage and chili powder please
Not together certainly, but these are the spices in my cupboard
Chili powder is needed once or twice a week
because this is what my husband likes to eat.
I confess, I love it also.
Chili. Chili. Chili. Chili. Chili.
With potatoes and corn, lots of meat, and hot peppers.
Wait! He does not like the hot peppers.
I put the jalapenos in my individual soup bowl
knowing it is I who loves those jalapenos and only me.
Sage is the spice that reminds me of turkey stufffing
Thanksgivings - the parade, the cousins, the frosted sugar cookies.
She lavishes the stuffing that is moist from the bowels of the turkey
Her smell permeates the kitchen, making me more grateful
For sage than anything else on Thanksgivings day.
Cinnamon is our family's go-to spice.
We lavish it on the top of cakes.
We sprinkle it on our flattened dough, before we roll it up.
We flip it onto our left over pie crust, and let the kids eat it.
Being a kid at heart, I eat it for the kids when they are not here.
Cinnamon, sage, and chili powder please.
These are my three top, utterly most favorite all-time spices.
Premium Member My Jesus My Shepherd
So good is Jesus, my saviour
this goodness he lavishes upon me
covering my failures like a true shepherd
for He dealt with my sin on Calvary's tree
Whatever attacks satan hits me with
my shepherd is there to keep me strong
His protecting hand covers all of me
His blessing fills me to sing His song
This shepherd marks out my road
goes out in front being my guide
holds my hand along the way
making sure I swim over the tide
When I need to be truly nurtured
my shepherd points me to find
what is right road for my steps
this Jesus my shepherd oh so kind
This shepherd laid down His life
for me, He died for my sins to atone
being my redemption this my shepherd
to heaven, my soul will be flown
