Premium Member Las Vegas here we are

astronomical odds they may be
cross your fingers for good luck
get into the groove, into the rhythm
spin hoping for a winfall or free games
spin to hear those bells go crazy
spin for a major hit to cash out

that jackpot has your name on it
somebody's got to win
it might as well be you
adrenalin pumping
get those lights flashing
let crowds gather 'round

The Poet Of Las Vegas Boulevard

The Poet of Las Vegas Boulevard,
steals emotion from the night

Holding a vigil in the darkness,
waiting for the light

The Poet of Las Vegas Boulevard,
among the screams and homeless cries

Making rhyme of what reason has abandoned
—marking time inside the shadow of lies

Las Ramblas

Walking about las ramblas at night you can see the desperation with a constant feeling of trepidation
People that never got much of an education not one qualification
Prostitutes selling their body to feed a habit and pay for their accommodation as Dealers sell to addicts who want that pleasurable sensation to forget about their life situation
You can buy heroin or crack or if you want a combination while the police and big gangsters are actually in communication giving them money so they don't launch a single criminal investigation so they can smoothly run their operation and there is no threat to their illegal money making organisation
You can even see people sleeping on the ground that had left their home nation in search of a better life but only found poverty and social devastation

Premium Member I Should Have Picked Berries In Las Vegas

I went off to Las Vegas for some berry
On to some fun times ... not to get bury
Perhaps wide eye a show, and sight see
Not end up at the bottom of the blue sea
The voice of the red devil said, why not
And like every sap, I was tied into a knot
All it took were a few drinks of red whine
A couple of lost bets, and I began to whine
Where were my angels to sing my hymn
Be at my side, be on the right side of Him
I lost a thousand rabbits down the hole
A few drinks ago, I was happy and whole
Then I was robbed and the rabbits soared
As each hopped away, my face was sore
That was my rent money you know
Is it my fault the guiding voice didn't say no
The casino host hoisted my daze
By smiling, please have a better day
I replied it wasn't my aim to throw a fete
And watch my rabbits go through a bad fate
I walked sadly away, lost, like another fool
The loss, raging on, unwanted, and full

Premium Member The Moon Is Shocked By Las Vegas

You should take a peek the night winds told the moon.
He was hesitant at first, they are such gossips who swoon.
They are not lying, the evening stars hissed into his ear.
This city is up all night, slumber is not revered or dear.

The moon took a tiny peek from the top of a road.
He was shocked at the amount of silver and gold.
What is this place? He asked. They should be asleep.
They are gambling fools, taking risks and a leap.

This is Las Vegas, the casinos educated the moon.
People come here and act crazy like some kind of loon.
They have to take out loans, a temporary balloon.
To pay their gambling debts. Our owners sing the tune.

But it is time to sleep, the Moon said to them.
He did not like this foolish place, built on a whim.
Its lights, cameras actions, day, noon and night.
The Moon truly wanted to turn out the light.

Christmas In Las Vegas

Odds are Kris Kringle won't Show today
Because Father Christmas leads the way
So jolly Saint Nick
Will be today's Pick
If Santa Claus will lend him his sleigh

Lady Luck

luck smiles at me playing
playing the slot machines from hell
the numbers are turning out
luck smiles at me
the numbers turning up
roulette
black, red odd
numbers
hot

In Las Vegas

The wheels of the slot machines keep spinning
In Las Vegas I guarantee someone is winning
Putting money in and more money comes out
A game of chance is what I'm talking about

Of course in this game there are losers too
Some lose money and don't know what to do
Enticed no doubt by the complimentary drink
Money they have spent gone in a blink

How people spend their money is a choice
The losers of life weep and the winners rejoice
In Las Vegas my friend there is only one winner
Spend your money wisely and go for a nice dinner

Las Vegas Dreams

Lights and glitter, everything that is gold
Awaits the naive and daring alike
Seeking a dream to slippery to hold

Vanishing coin; your finances all on strike
Eccentric beings, I politely call
Guests who have lingered and made these streets home
Accepting of vice, the big and the small
Such candor quite absent where e'er I roam

Diamonds may turn to glass come morning
Revelations can wait, just one last slot
Excitement builds and ebbs without warning
Allusive dreams cannot catch what was sought
Mythic, this city would have you believe
Secrets sealed in glitter best to deceive

Las Vegas Love

Las Vegas Love
No one, knows the odds of the what happens.
No one, knows the reasons, from what is left behind.
All there lies is the pain and the tears,
of the different experiences, shared in a similar bind.

All just came to enjoy a fabulous event.
An interest, to embrace, and celebrate.
Instead comes the darkness, over time forms,
embodied by somebody's hate.

Last but not least, here comes the beast.
He unleashes his anger, above the many unknown.
Attention he should not get, for the matter he set.
For the importance, is love never, left them alone.

Everywhere there would be, and everywhere there was,
a love then became this courageous light.
Filtering down below, giving hope,
upon this sadden night.

The attitude of survival,
for the all, and not just self, reflected into action.
Even thou different was each, chance to live,
love was still the mighty reaction.

Let no satisfaction, ever be given,
to the monsters, whom with cruelty, spread the bait.
The only way to fight the hurtful contagion,
is to show the love, instead of the hate.

Premium Member Where Is the Coin Cup

My girlfriend and I went to Vegas.
We had a blast going from casino to casino.
They started to bring us free drinks at one.
We had two, three, four, maybe five drinks.
We left the casino, stumbling a bit.
Hey! She said where is the coin cup?
We had been sharing one.
An argument ensued.
We had left it in there.
We stumbled back in.
There were hundreds of coin cups.
Ours was no longer at our slot machines.
I looked around.
Old men and women everywhere.
Feeding quarters in, looking like monkeys.
We argued about who was supposed to have kept the coin cup
Luckily we reached our hotel okay and fell asleep
In the morning we could not stop laughing about it.
