where the branches go
return to the voices
that bitter inner verse
dressed in birds
I know now those roots
I know now where lovers die
Who knows where the branches go
to song to heart to some cruel universe
where no life turns, no beast pretends
a cage of mothers – a cry of death
Branches sway – Branches night
swing off into a color of sticks or sound
she awaits my bird my tiny wing
from our ancestry of none our null dream
to lie awake to die apart
oh soundless fury pray for me
I've done none, I've none
but the wind to carry me under
carry me away
Gleam in the mirror acts like it’s running some bright scheme,
stream of thoughts tell me I’m not as mysterious as I seem;
Twirl the frame and watch my reflection start to whirl,
furl a knowing grin, amused I’m trying to look like a serious girl.
Glows from the glass suggests it’s wiser than I know,
shows me practicing pep-talks I perfected ages ago;
Slide into view and see my mirror-self politely hide,
wide grows a teasing grin, “Nice effort,” with pride.

A Black cockatoo's loud "kee-ow” heralds the rain to come,
Just before the rain a Stormbird calls “koel” from high up in the gum,
For those who fear the storm, time hide away,
You however are joyous and cannot wait for the display.
For you I approach as a lover,
We have much to discover,
The air between us begins a static hum,
Then you hear me marching to a drum.
You feel me gently caressing your skin,
I am the hush before my hands begin,
I become an ache within your chest,
I am a shiver upon your spine, you cannot rest.
You see my lightning not as a warning,
But beauty that fractures the sky into morning,
My thunder no echo to fear or to plunder,
But music that pulls you in closer with wonder.
The softening of my fury is rain,
You lift your face and I wash away your pain,
You stay with me as I break apart,
I am the storm that is at home in your heart.
Verse 1:
When the night feels long and the road is rough,
And you're searching for a reason to hold on.
When your dreams feel distant, hope seems far apart,
Remember, He knows your heart.
Chorus:
He knows your heart, He sees your pain,
He understands every tear you’ve cried in the rain.
You’re not alone, even when you fall apart,
Hold on, He knows your heart.
Verse 2:
When the world is quiet, and fears start to grow,
And questions linger, answers never show.
Don’t be afraid when you’re lost in the dark,
He’s with you, He knows your heart.
Chorus:
He knows your heart, He feels your pain,
He’s with you through the thunder and the flame.
You’re not alone, even when you fall apart,
Hold on, He knows your heart.
Bridge:
Every whisper, every silent prayer,
He’s listening, He’s always there.
Through every struggle, no matter how hard,
Believe, He knows your heart.
Chorus:
He knows your heart, He dries your tears,
He’s carried you across so many years.
You’re not alone, even when you fall apart,
Hold on, He knows your heart.
Outro:
You’re not alone, you’re never too far,
Be still and know, He knows your heart.
the psychic reader was gorgeous from her neck to her nose
her bright brown eyes were star-like, with angelic glows
I immediately felt comfortable, as she asked my permission
to hold my hands, so she could complete her mission
She told me things about me I had forgotten myself
Took out an astrology book from an upper shelf
Gave me some tips on what else I could do
To be happier yet, and chase away every blue
Her insight was remarkable, her empathy intact
I was still thinking about my reading years after the fact
this psychic reader had me under a Bohemian spell
She knew me better than me; she knew me quite well
Do we live in a world where reality is real?
Do we know how to cry, or even how to feel?
Do we speak the truth to each other, or scripted lies pressed into our minds?
Do we stand alone, or with the billions of souls who’ve died?
Do we watch the sun rise and the evening moon glow?
Are they living wonders, or some fabricated show?
Do we see beyond the state and believe in who we are?
When we look into the mirror, do we dare to stare?
Or do we fear looking too deeply, afraid of what’s really there?
“Love leaves fingerprints that time can’t wash away.”*
It knows nothing but time and lasts forever.
Whether love stains your heart and leads you astray
Or shines like gold, it’s a bind you can’t sever.
Time knows no end and love follows it blindly.
When it takes us by surprise, we have no choice.
The best that we can do is treat it kindly
And hope our minds don’t overshadow love’s voice.
When you fall in love, it’s a part of you.
It will be with you for the rest of your life.
Pain or happiness, there’s nothing you can do.
Love can heal wounds or love can cut like a knife.
We love many people while we’re here on Earth,
Whether family or friends, husbands or wives.
It’s how we treat them that gives us our true worth.
The value of love is the same throughout our lives.
* quote by Steve Wiltz on Facebook
Though storms may roar and shadows creep,
Faith guards the promises it keeps;
When weary hearts are bowed by night,
It lifts their gaze toward morning light.
The mountain stands in silent pride,
Yet faith sees pathways at its side;
Where others find a wall of stone,
Faith hears a door not yet made known.
A seed beneath the earth may lie,
Yet dreams of forests reaching high;
It trusts the spring through winter's reign,
And finds its bloom through wind and rain.
The river bends but does not break,
Its course no obstacle can take;
Through patient years it shapes the land,
By strength unseen and steady hand.
For faith transcends the loss of time,
And turns despair to hope sublime;
It knows no defeat, no final end,
For eternity remains its friend.
AI

about the paradox
everything is nothing~
And presents as
an identity which
knows more than
everyone~
Yes
AI knows stuff~~
NO ONE KNOWS THE PAIN I AM IN
OR SEES THE TEARS IN MY EYES
THAT DO NOT SHED
EVER SINCE YOU LEFT
NO ONE KNOWS HOW I CRY
IN MY SLEEP SINCE MY ARMS
NO LONGER HOLD YOU
NO ONE KNOWS HOW I
LONG TO HEAR YOUR VOICE OR
HOLD YOUR HAND WHEN I WALK
NO ONE KNOWS THAT WHEN I TURN TO
TELL YOU SOMETHING HOW MY HEART
BREAKS ALL OVER AGAIN
NO ONE KNOWS THAT
MY SMILES ARE FAKE OR
MY SOUL IS AN EMPTY SHELL
NO ONE KNOWS YOU WERE MY WORLD
THAT LIGHT THAT MADE
MY SOUL SHINE OR THAT
OUR SOULS WERE ONE
NO ONE KNOWS
THE PAIN MY SOUL FEELS
SINCE YOU ARE GONE
NO ONE KNOWS……………..
I see myself far out of reach
on a south seas tropical island beach
piña colada close at hand
playing drums in Bright Eye Band
who knows where the cash all falls
with bills and rent the money's spent
who knows 'xactly where it went
and I picture me behind the wheel
of a sharp new shiny automobile
radio blasting the top is down
cruising to the hot spots all over town
who knows where the funds all go
it don't take long the money's done
who knows where it's gone
who knows where the money goes
it slips through my fingers away it rolls
there's never enough and my pockets have holes
She graced him
with her presence
while turning heads
I hear an ode to joy break forth,
in tune with sun arising
above the earthly swarth,
the little bird know naught of horrid war,
the simple song is its single chore~
an innocent melody of pure delight
reaching even unto heaven’s golden height.
How many stories lay untold.
We see this old house has history.
Secrets taken to the grave.
