Love Knows Nothing But Time
“Love leaves fingerprints that time can’t wash away.”*
It knows nothing but time and lasts forever.
Whether love stains your heart and leads you astray
Or shines like gold, it’s a bind you can’t sever.
Time knows no end and love follows it blindly.
When it takes us by surprise, we have no choice.
The best that we can do is treat it kindly
And hope our minds don’t overshadow love’s voice.
When you fall in love, it’s a part of you.
It will be with you for the rest of your life.
Pain or happiness, there’s nothing you can do.
Love can heal wounds or love can cut like a knife.
We love many people while we’re here on Earth,
Whether family or friends, husbands or wives.
It’s how we treat them that gives us our true worth.
The value of love is the same throughout our lives.
