She disappeared aged 3. Everyone looked for her. People went from shop to shop asking have you seen this girl? No was the reply. Others searched woodland, fields, by the river. Soon people all over the country joined the hunt for the missing child. No luck. It was like she never existed. Her parents never gave up hope nor stopped looking. 3 dates are the worst: the anniversary of her disappearance, her birthday and Xmas. 14 years later she's still missing. No one has spotted her. She'd be 17 now. Almost an adult. But she's a statistic. A 3 year old girl missing 14 years. Her picture on milk cartons. Mystery unsolved.
The stops signs ‘yield’ to our egos
The traffic lights flash red as we go!
The dust we kicked up as we blast through
The paper waste that drifts on the smoke filled air
The giant potholes swallow our monthly budget
As we gather the cents on the road to market
Overtaken on the life's sharp curve - showing off driving skills
Becoming the senselessness of a road kill - speed kills!
The ambiguous turns when we ought to go straight
The dubious road blocks for a bribe of a ticket!
Fine law enforcement at its best...keeping the roads safe
Avoiding duty in uniform at their finest...to preserve life
The manholes that kidnap our children like satan
On the pavement next to hell, they lie dead overdriven
Why did you let than drunken driver go Mr. Policeman?

I were watching television at my house
I slept while watching television

It's a world wide trade
Do they take my eyes out?

Or Leg, hand anything
i can't imagine what they will do

I swallowed my saliva and secreted it more
itching in head and can't bear it
my hands are hand cuffed
