Abracadabra did not work for joy
Her references backed by Leroy Tolstoy
She threw the spells out and went with her soul
Succeeding with the monsters, her ultimate goal
Instinctive chants from her expanding diaphragm
Jeepy Jappy Jumble Jolly Jee Jam
She snapped her thumb and the elixir lit red hot
Neon green too, then it began to dance and trot
Slivers of light darted left and right through the air
She could feel empowerment from everywhere
Abracadabra might work for the others
But she needed direction from her ancestral mothers
The room began to hum, whistle and sing
Pink curtains were jumping, chandelier did swing
Jeepy Jappy Jumble Jolly Jee Jam was the perfect chant.
For 7th daughter of 7th daughter, witch Millicent.

Jumble and Rumble went on a road trip to Kalamazoo
Frightening folks along the way for it is what monsters do.
They met a lively wedding part of seventy-two.
Most had imbibed salty green margaritas, more than a few.
Why don’t you join us asked the bride-to-be named Sue.
Okay agreed Jumble and Rumble, dapper monsters who slew.
They all ended up in the hoosegow in Kalamazoo.
Serenading a cow out the window; she had a big moo.
We’ll do this again sometime! Said Rumble, happy as goo.
I loved this wedding! Agreed Jumble, who ended up with a bride too.

Nearly anonymous now
Walk one foot forward
Jack Strange
that's him bursting with self confidence
proving life is an act
his luminous wrist watch throws light
black jumble sale clothes
He like to show you
how unrepresented is he
in the disharmony
of an unsealed cup of joy
for the keepers Sunday picnic

the daily jumble, mom sends,
must know, i must get —
as she gets the treatment.
starting to be a regular thing
the ordinary...
how odd!
like cleaning teeth -
my sis has that today,
like coming home -
her son.
but reminded that
mom has cancer.
would love to send that “son”
packing!

jumbled up into the center of my mind
minced and diced and rolled
drooling with misconstrued nonclarity
are paintings, murals and poems
that would reveal my insanity if displayed
so I keep them tucked up safely, in the crevices
of a mind that has become an expert mask of herself
showing none of our truth to the outsiders
they come toward us anticipating a breakdown
we throw back our head and laugh but reveal nothing
not cutting off our ear yet, but close.
Shh! Your loudness is turning my hostility into action.

my mind is a jumble,
a kaleidoscope of colors
capturing me so I cannot escape,
each time I look for a door,
I am stopped by a force of
Crayola sentries holding onto
spear-like paint brushes
threatening to insert me into
a jumbo coloring book where
I will turn into a mindless
page of fill-in-the-blanks with
a picture to color

I strive to solve life's jumble,
Sometimes, I win, at times loose,
I risk and make assumptions,
Puzzles of life have no rules.

I hear a discordant harmony
As I smell the infinite sea
A myriad of dazzling jewels
Jumble dancing endlessly.
Mmmm! The taste of mothers milk
Then a nice full tummy
Before a baby bottlenose burp
Bubble bursts from deep inside me...
Pop! You could inhale one of those
If you jumble danced with me.

She may walk among
untrodden ways.
But beware,
your trips and slips,
face first slides into reality
Not always your own doing
Is ever present
Always lurking.
Tight rope walking over well
worn paths.
Danger lurks in the familiar.
He who made the lamb made
thee.
The falcon trusts the falconer
And so returns with retracted
claws.
Like we must return the
innocence
We stole from whom
but could not use.
Some do it with a lethal sword
The familiar prefer a kiss
All to exact a balance of power
Be careful for what you wish.

Sometimes we wonder how he could have killed himself
Other times we understand and admire his courage
Feelings not worn on our faces, mind and heart a shelf
Listen to the words of unsaid message
To die is gain the dreaded menace, mortality and yet welcomed
The world is in turmoil, humanity is a contradiction
When will the penetration of light help efficient diction
Away! away! come! come!
Voices echo in our heads
Sleepless nights turning in our beds
We understand today, tomorrow is a mess of rubbish
The application of oxymoron, bitter sweet
Now only this makes sense to me, does it to you?
Let us still carry our light with life on our backs
Both my only reason for living. Let the light shine
I try to read my manual but it's comprehended
and misunderstood
Where is the light? where is the darkness?
Reward for diligently seeking is it this unknowing
Filled with spacious confused wisdom
Carry on! end! continue! finish!
I look to you in this Jumble God
Only your light can guide out of it
I will wait as long as it takes
You will be with me always even till the end of time
You promised.
