My Mind Holds a Jumble
jumbled up into the center of my mind
minced and diced and rolled
drooling with misconstrued nonclarity
are paintings, murals and poems
that would reveal my insanity if displayed
so I keep them tucked up safely, in the crevices
of a mind that has become an expert mask of herself
showing none of our truth to the outsiders
they come toward us anticipating a breakdown
we throw back our head and laugh but reveal nothing
not cutting off our ear yet, but close.
Shh! Your loudness is turning my hostility into action.
