On how I receive statements
Permanent ink
I went to Japan for college
In California
I applied for an internship
With a Japanese man
Studying science materials
He is an r&d phD
Now I am an artist
Permanent stains in time affect life
Over the universe
Does not exist a degree
No university
Yet permanent adjustment
To receive, speech, from another?
I get my first job
A temporary internship
But at the end
They don't hire anybody
I move back home
To be near my friends
But then, they all move away
I get my second job
It is temporary to permanent
I look for other jobs
But can’t find any
The boy and I talk about living together
But I can't find a job where he lives
And he doesn’t want to move
My second job ends
With unfulfilled promises
Of being made full time
I look for jobs
First what I want
Then what meets my standards
Then below
I get a job stocking
Is this all I am really worth
Even a degree is worthless
I've got to pay it back
I got an internship!
Has anyone here had experience with writing for a newspaper/nonprofit company?
if you have share your experience below.
A group of students
Saw a need for
Socail change.
They thought
It wise to speak
Of a different way
To convey messages
They wanted
To hear facts
That would support
The development
Of a undergrad college
Internship that would
Allow students to
Devolpe socail media
Shows and television
And Radio programming
To give voice to their
Concerns, and considerations.
These outlets would allow
Students training and
Experience. It would
Allow programs to be
Developed to speak of
The concerns that
Students face.
Stepping into an unfamiliar view
The room, the faces, everything is new
You've done what you're asked but no one's around
Barely quiet but hard to make a sound
Nothing left to do but sit and just wait
Watching the hours go by until it's late
Hoping a familiar face would drop by
Otherwise I'll just play with my wifi
Something new is what I really do hope
In learning things that's within my field's scope
For now, I think, that would still have to wait
Well it's just the first day, more things await
Surrounded by many professionals
Overhearing stuff educational
But here I am, a fish out of water
Whether there or not, it wouldn't matter
Such is the life of an only intern
Who's hoping that things would take a good turn
Letting time slip by, by writing this poem
Oh look it's almost five. Yay! I go home.
Oh, how much life can one decade contain?
To hold my first girl, trembling in my arms,
And after one more child, a handsome boy,
Returned to college - Berklee and guitars ...
I moved from Boston to a job - St. Croix,
Then left that paradise, the Virgin Isles,
Found one more internship in Pharmacy,
Back to the states, in Tampa, Florida ...
Returned to Boston for more school and work,
Then fell in love and married, (second time),
Soon after, one more daughter to behold,
A drug store job, with happy wife and kids.
So sad when Challenger blew up the sky ...
And when a blight called AIDS took many souls,
As Wall Street crashed and MASH went off the air -
The POTUS shot, and poor John Lennon killed.
And yet, I saw Mike Jackson "walk the moon",
While walls in Berlin came a-crashing down,
Computers, cell phones, MTV, and games ...
As technology creates ... a brave new world.

Get A Grip
Trump supporters on selves get a grip;
He should have served an internship,
Experience received,
And us not deceived;
He should have given us all the slip.

Mosquito is a poorly-trained doctor
all examinations he failed
no internship he did
he carries needles in his mouth
injects clients to become patients
and treats patients to become tombs
his clinic is in the bush
referral hospital
in people’s houses
pharmaceutical factory
in stagnant pools
I took a course in professional lying
under a professor specialized in advanced lying.
I told my girlfriend a lie,
but she chucked me
I told a lie to my employer,
but I lost my job
I wrote a lie in examinations
but I got below average
I applied a lie in chemical experiment
but I got the factory blew up
I was blamed right and left
but I was only doing internship in lying.
its not far...
my aim is now not far....
going to be a doctor just a internship apart....
finishing with my exams...
in a month not so far......
preparing for this from ma last 4 years of life........
going to get the responsibility ......
for which i prepared completely....
i m nervous ....but confident too....
i m going to serve my degree...
with my complete dignity.....
i will try to not fail.....
but i will try to be the best......
thanking to god for giving me luck....
thanking to parents for being my back...
thanking to all for keeping me strong.....
now wish me best to make everything correct.......
Perseverance: a poem
Long ago or should I say sometime in the past?
I had dreams and now at the age of 31 I have realized most of them.
It’s funny how good luck; joy, pain, rejection, effort and ‘Perseverance’ with a capitol ‘P’ have played a part in my life and sealed my Fate.
I now choose to think more positive thoughts even though this is still hard for me when I hear a negative voice in my head or when I hear people say negative things about me.
Those things hurt me and stay with me until I let it go.
I am self-motivated and I was a star pupil in my memories of my childhood.
My main goal is to be able to take care of myself, be responsible for myself and for the choices I make in life.
I am finishing school next January ’14 with my Bachelor’s degree and I want to find a good Internship.
Then after that I want to have a part-time job working 20 to 25 hours per week and continue doing volunteer work.
Oh and poems, I will keep writing my poems and reading other people’s poetry. Right now I am reading LIT a memoir by Mary Karr. I also want to write children’s books.
My breasts are growing smaller
And, my nipples more erect in this lean state.
The fat in which they floated
Dissolved into a pool around my feet.
I stepped away from it and dried off the residue.
I am on a journey.
I am going outside of myself,
To discover the glory of a world
I have always viewed through the eyes of others.
I no longer need my protective fat.
It kept others away, at arms length.
In fairer more distant places.
Where stares, and sharp intakes of breath could reach me.
But not, the murmurs of their disbelief.
I float like the red balloon, I read about as a child.
The strength I built up
From my long Internship as ‘the fat bearer’'
The strength to bear the stares and sighs
Will serve me well in this wonderful new endeavor
I can now embrace the stares
And council them.
I flip and snap, like a flag in the sharp March breeze,
flying above the trees.
I watched that flag.
Now I stand outside that self,
And start anew.
I reach out to a proverbial passerby.
I say
“Here, take this towel,
I believe you are standing in a puddle.”
Here lie men of good favor
In this world their are know braver
This masiline view it seems to protrude like glass
It breaks my mind
An undined castle that sits blush in the evergreen
of peoples choice a unheard voice a days lure
work-filled courtyard tends to fold unseen
The artists gathering amongst the fellow-ed brother
around here we are together
None have played like we have stood
All troubles all ties broken under a hood
I'm a knack individual with a long shot
A midnight linger and renouned singer am in need of a cot
A worn mace A ball in chain it's open game
A palce needed a space pleaded true internship
cool nay blue in shade a new class In the morning pass
Apaishin allusion amaishin a new relationship
With antiga in-found all rights atrine in fine
I see a need that is greater for the the common people
