Reason A. Goodwin, the editor of World Book Encyclopedia Dictionary,
was paid good money as a judge on the original Password Game Show.
The first time he used his dictionary to look up a word - the producers
commented that we could have paid any 'staffer' to do that.

Old guy in bed -

He opens his eyes,
points a trembling finger
to something or other,
then speaks.
"Google me."

This facile observation,
is not a metaphor
for anything at all.
Youngest leprechaun intern was a mere boy of eleven
He was tiny though, did not look much older than seven.
Had a wide smile, and a jaunty way about him, was fun too.
He will do, the leprechauns of old said, Oh, yes, he will do!

If in the end
Time be the only one true thing
Of actual real value
We in our hearts and minds possess
And we are able to lend
And may well in fact be
The essence and piece of us we leave behind
Then with that in mind
Be kind and plentiful with your time
And spend it and spread it
Wisely
Amongst and with deserving others
Who also intern
Are willing to reciprocate
And pay you the time of day back
Main to Main
And also to and for the being of any other
So wishing and choosing to engage
I would very much just like to say
Thanking you sincerely indeed
For being my constant muse
And inspiration
As it has been a while
You have stood stoically by my side
And if yours being the only praise
I am deemed to be due
Then that also just suits me well
As merely knowing you can to me
Relate and find some or other actual
Meaning or promise therefore in
Then I have somehow managed to achieve
Something of real true meaning in my life
And in doing so
You have intern made
All of my innermost
Precious wishes and dreams come true
Kind regards
Yours sincerely
Main to Main

The white know blacks who used a lantern:
Kazeem: Ray Hospital’s New Intern;
By female admirers surrounded,
I kept gazing at him astounded…
As he saw patients went down complaints,
Quick releases from Hell, no more faints!
Rather, a houseman like placebo;
Not all the time his arrows found bow:
Thus, Black Doctor white patients just want,
To the other Black Stethoscopes “Don’t!”
Might it be his lot to change this scene;
Strict white patients tell with smiles “You’re mean.”
About some Black Doc point to as Guide
And dare to claim that he did this hide?
Black Doctor loved by White Patient,
Not from High Intelligent Quotient…
Summons somewhere up the courage
that has managed to get you to this
point in your life thus far
And drag yourself clinging kicking
and screaming somehow onwards up
If only for if nothing else and no other
particular reason than not giving
life the satisfaction
Of the experience of seeing and feeling
what it is like to be on the recieving end
Of having two fingers or the bird flipped
at you
Simply for the fun and he'll of it
And remember this they who laugh last
Twinkle with an everlasting smile
Which cometh with a lifetime guarantee
And others will intern surely bouyed on
bye your inspiration will be bound to
wishfully follow in your wake
Because the first and most important
domino of them all is the initial one
Otherwise no one else will and has
anyone to follow
We were told to find a smart partner.
I invited the platinum blonde to be mine.
She told me that she was not that wise.
I said I thought she was; lying in my eyes.
She ignored this and searched a new partner out.
Our only history is her bestie used to bully me about.
Then she said, “I have to partner with my intern Twee.”
I said “That’s great and found a different partner immediately.
Charlie was excited to be with me; we got along great you see.
Platinum blonde got kicked out of the group by Twee.
She turned and loudly yelled this to me….
“You mean you left me, when I headed toward Twee?”
I ignored her, and she ended up in a group of three.
Pouting like a big humungous oversized baby.
Are you two friends? My new partner asked me.
Not now or ever, I replied to thee.
A new intern.
nervy, jumpy, eager.
Old guy in bed
terminal ticket to wherever.
Older Doctor enters cubicle
looks at chart, vital signs, latest comments.
sighs.
Dying man opens his eyes,
points a weak hand, finger extended
to whatever. Speaks.
"Google me"
The medics exchange confused glances.
Patient falls back onto pillow
death already rattling.
Last words are weak, but clear.
"Oh, I forgot, Google sucks."
It's a puzzle put down to deathbed dementia.
The year is 1990,
seven years before the launch
of a monstrous mind manipulator.
Too many witnesses, it will be a buster clutch, they’ll get mean.
Chief of police always gets his boxers in a bunch at a crime’s scene
I am a novice, and an intern. It is my first day not on the force.
Just watch; it could turn ugly; a dog and pony show with a large horse.
What was taken? I asked; it must be something valuable and big.
As far as I understand it, it is the farmer’s wife, little girl and his pig.
The wife isn’t worth much. The little girl can be a handful for sure.
But that potbelly pig has great bloodlines, his markings are pure.
You interview the sheep, I’ll take the cows and the rooster over there.
Thought mentor’s idea sounded like a good one, wise, and quite fair.
The sheep were not cooperating; they refused to speak at all.
Rooster was crowing and crooning, with each sound, he’d gotten tall.
How did you do? Larry asked; he had ridiculous notes, three pages.
I had to admit the sheep had clammed up; and he began some rages.
The sheep could not be coaxed to speak, for which I was rather glad.
I did not want to fail in front of Chief of Police, my own sweet Dad.
Tendrils of absolute enthusiasm
Ooze out of Chase, our new eager recruit.
Let me get your coffee, he says to McFhazm.
The hardest guy to impress, the first one to shoot.
You and your newfangled ideas down, we all held our breath.
Too bad for you now, warns our other intern, Young Seth.
We thought Chase was crazy, and would get rebuked away.
But instead, McFhazm made him a V.P. by the end of the day.
He pushed her rapidly to the edge so many times
But she was a good girl, she told herself, shutting out her grandma’s voice
Poison him! Her grandmother urged. Showing her which herbs to gather.
His anger filled the room, wrote despair on the walls of her soul.
Still she ignored the voice, because she was from the Bible Belt.
Bible Belt girls just take their medicine, feeling they deserve it.
He took her to the hospital on the third day.
Another fall down the stairs, the intern guessed.
They got her in a room alone. Tried to get her to speak of his evil.
She deserved this. She had earned it. If she had just been good.
He is going to kill you the next time, one of the nurses said.
Press charges! But if she could just be better, and she knew she could.
He took a hammer to her, a knife, a whip, a chain. She clammed up.
Read her Bible, knew the answers were in there.
Page 183 her grandmother’s writing.
There was the recipe. It would kill him with no trace.
She slipped it into his tea, shaking so hard she thought he would know.
He slipped into a deep sleep and never awoke.
The coroner said “heart disease most likely”.
Page 183 more likely she thought, safe at last.
She walks
She stalks the pyramid
With shell fish underfoot
Drawing lime into her creases
And all because
She given can
To step to climb
In single numbers
Until the penny drops
And everything and nothing stops
Paving way for yesterday
To start under the sphinx gaze
Begotten by the setting nile
Masked in solid sunshine gold
Screaming afterlife i am dedicated
mummy salt
Awaiting Orions call to intern
To sisterhood multiple of three
Adjacent little and offset
Built upon a desert burn
Your secret kept
With little clues to follow
Yet still we do
As star's are you and so are we
Purveyor of the celestial math
equation
A single number forging path
in all but name
Until we cross the great divide
And dust and star's we return and
then become
For the remainder of eternity
Browning carpets
Stained cement
You’re lending time to those far spent
Catering to hands that won’t lift to plows
But you tell others they deserve
Can’t fall in line with those that won’t give just desserts
Assigned here with rumbling bellies
They will multiply
Disconnect and disruption herein lies
You will never return
Loving is a burden
What did God mean?
This is not your purpose
Not your good
You sign in, check out
Count the hours
Get the credit
And honor Lot’s wife
