The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Bat Commandeered the Coffee

coffee please the editor said to the young intern
she could not get any after she took a walk and turn
for a baby bat who said his name was Fee
Commandeered the pot, claiming all coffee

You have to be strong and firm the editor said
She was scared to death, for a bat’s bite can make you dead
She tried to appeal to him, but he shook his ebony head
Go back and tell him he doesn’t need any, that bat said.
