My Reality

Failed to include me
Armed and dangerous
Mental abuse
Intense shame
Loss
Yearly anxiety and anguish

On alert always
Fiends not friends

Never enough
Always on guard
Remarks that hurt
Can never please
Angry people
Severed ties
Slanted views
Insuperable
Sexist
Traumatic memories

Braggart
Reprehensible
Overly controlling
Threatening
Hedonistic
Egotistical
Ruined family

Insuperable

I often wonder, when will we ever escape the buried
evils of past horrors.
For I could shovel for days without count, and never
reach the depths of injustice.
Only to look up and realize, it will take longer to climb
out of a whole so deep.

Indomitable

Rain thunders ceaselessly
today great horses
in a furious affair
yet still a steady
sunshine burns radiant
and constant its resolve.

To tame such a wrath
such a din! It’s presence
an immovable ardent witness
to my so savage yearning
to my deep longing
my utter devotion.

A million assaults
all round gushing gashing
smashing slashing
flooding fast and yet
this prevalence in me
nearly indomitable
scarcely insuperable.

Though the torrents
seem a ruination yet
still stoically wells
within me this sum
this magnitude this
permanent totality
of mighty light
reigning steadfast
over me over all.

Courage To Consign Poverty To History Dustbins

Courage to promote humility
Courage to admit your mistakes
Courage to embrace malleability
Courage for noble stakes

To die
To tackle hurdles and obstacles that seem insuperable
To fly high
The flag of integrity for the vulnerable

Whose predicament makes you sick
Although your means seem puny
Dare to kick
Open the door of fortune to the many

Who can’t afford a meal
On their haunted faces no smile to file
Cos to them no big deal
Whether you flaunt designer lifestyle

When their dreams grow leaner
Insufficient sleep on bare floors squeezed in tiny spaces
Like sardines when June weather stings meaner
To rip traces of laughter from faces

Weather beaten, hunger stricken
By force of circumstance
Poverty sunken
In long distances they shamble for every conceivable circumstance

Courage they demand
From you, Mr Big Stuff
Morsels of dry fish from resources you command
Seizing poverty by its neck scruff

Courage to consign poverty to history dustbins
Where you can lock it up
To assuage your conscience and atone for sins
That fill up your steaming coffee cup.

Procrastination

A tense mind, forsaking abilities
Days passed can not be recovered
The suffering brought upon, by choice
Fear arisen at the thought of the inevitable
I scorn at my sight; their pride, mistaken.

Excuses granting an escape, to relinquish
Forces I seek, to deny that which could have been
Regret masked, by an expression unseen
A promise to change, unmet by time's progress
Lies spoken; their trust, misplaced.

A resolve is thought, a distraction is discovered
A minute becomes an hour, an hour, a day
The effort becomes insuperable - the load does burden
To find others, does alleviate
A sleepless night, my own cause; perseverance, they presume.

An unsteady hand, prepares notes anew
Legibility is minimal, as panic progresses
Absorption is improbable - an attempt at redemption, in vain
Expletives remembered, relevant now
A head that aches; difficulty, they concede.

Eyes wake, pleading for rest
A disheveled appearance, hides no worry
The many lines crammed, indistinguishable
A dire situation, chiseling a cheat
Failure admitted; their forgiveness, undeserving.

Sonority

In the nascence of one’s polonaise,
Always an unknown tune invades, unseen, unfelt:
The sonority of a somber night-sonata,
Inside a cold, dark tomb.

Aleatory existence led by revolting wheels,
Propinquity of flesh becomes insuperable;
The horologist can’t cease the ticking.

The tour de force of infinity--
I wonder why it couldn’t be a holding, exoteric.

Time To Realize

Life has different shades.
You paint your wall with ideal hues.
All you want to have are perfect strokes.
But that is not life... without flaws.

Sometimes you are so cruel.
Belittling others and treating them paupers;
Living like a king and pursuing to rule;
But still you fail to find your own pleasures.

Complaining is your breakfast.
For lunch are your countless sighs,
Exasperating looks are your snacks,
Insuperable pessimism completes your supper.

Life's struggles eat up your days.
Ignoring others as they whisper comforts;
Losing patience controls your vision;
Imperfection is your greatest question.

Realization is always in the end.
Forgiveness is what you really need.
Now hasting for good deeds to impart;
But He says, " Son, it's time to depart."

Abandonment

A lean figure, bearing love
Burdened by a need for belonging
Starved by abandonment and disregard
With eyes of plea that look upon man
Rejection's curse; an unmet gaze.

The cold, the toll
An attempt to live diminished by ignorance
Loyalty pledged, discarded by the heartless
A tale of sorrow; a tail of fatigue
Walking away, a strained wish - running away, an insuperable thought.

False safety found in humanities' trenches
Malice offering an invite, with little reward
Torture imposed upon by a hand of crumbs
Survival, not a guarantee, fortitude, a hope
Blood that oozes for paper, congeals to mark.

Escaping acts an option that imprisons
Time slows but age shows
A sight of ruggedness in motion
Wounds that offer a feed, delved into
Movement that agonizes, inciting condescension.

Unsteady breaths, signaling an end
The search for an owner in vain
Brutality suffered in pursuit of a home
A last limp affording no sympathy, still
Callus paws giving way as love remains unrequited.

Dichotomous, Duplicitous Man

Besides the hallowed covenant of The Way
There is only one other univocal tenet I obey
The human spirit is insuperable and indomitable
Though it can wield an evil that is so abominable

Our essence is both distilled and defined
By what I would collectively call "humankind"
Despite war, disaster, catastrophe and disease
We have a resplendent life hidden in the parentheses

With ethnic cleansing, racial profiling, and hate
We have solidarity and unbridled hope to syncopate
Though the warts on the face of this cold, cruel earth
Conspicuously present themselves amongst our glee and mirth

They can be overlooked to reveal a complexion
That represents the depth and breadth of our cross section
As cliché as it sounds, good defeats evil in the end
And we have infinite, exponential amounts of it to expend

So call me quaint, trite, or even naïve
Besides God, there is only one other thing I believe
I am convinced that man is intrinsically honorable
   Despite also being innately intolerable

The Mind Game

fooling them with a simple façade
- the make-up, the mask
a true charade

a player you are
pretence the game
the playcard a joker –
a shield against shame

insulating the inner, framing Fear
for finding it insuperable
the mountain you rear

but the mountain is not
the authentic obstacle in life
our mindset rather
we should conquer, should knife

this cast of mind you yourself must obliterate
‘cause no other master
the master of your fate

Social Interventions

Lustful silly dying pleads mistakes
Heralded lying deeds unforgotten bleeds
Passion misplaced heartaches reversed
Diamonds’ faded shines tossed ashore
Rumors, subside trusted missions disgraceful
Allies uttered passion siblings’ chatting

Moonlight madness captured blissfulness
Insuperable numbers unfolded lies indentations
Riverside linked markings social interventions
False accumulations revised taunted hunted
Musical themes engaged tearful dreams
Detected numbers fashionable Jewels

Heartless mentors size-able games
Bleeders’ feeders’ unhandy kindly manor
Unmatchable rimes utter fence-less
Distressed allusions undressed notable
Honors misfits twisted risked dilution’s
Defenseless dilutions endless dusk

Courage

How many periods have passed,
That you wished could pass so fast,
And how many endless hours
You hoped would never last.

How many people held you flowers,
A mate, a friend who never cowers.
Then the day comes to its end
To cover you with blaming showers.

Courage now got out of trend,
It’s not something you can lend,
Yet if you fight for it to be,
Insuperable torments it shall mend.

How many blessings you can’t see
That your heart locked without a key,
Made it hard to sympathize,
Thus so hard to set you free.

You often fail to realize
How lovely grins can agonize,
And so you seek your salvation
In feigned bonds that hypnotize…

To Own a Corner of That Sky

Each evening I sit alone in deep thought,
and stare in wonderment
at constellations without a name;
how many suns, like ours,
are invisible to these stupefied eyes...
how far are they from where I am?

To own a corner of that sky,
I should be much closer to them to shine;
and I must find me a place in this Universe,
become a star so insignificant and unashamed...
beginning to exist among their magnificence!
To go further, where astronauts are guided by stars,
I must have the indomitable spirit of Columbus
and the bold courage of David!

Each morning the resplendent sunrise
awakens me to end my imagined journey...
with consternation and demise;
my pursuit was to inevitably conquer
my fear and not relinquish any possibility...
to penetrate the depths of space
with nothing more than grace...
for a design that I was eager to declare!

To own a corner of that sky,
I must have an insuperable and indisputable faith...
with a determined purpose in mind:
so that doubts wouldn't abound and end my quest!

Sorrowful Memory

Its her and me in the picture I see
But now it’s the end between her and me
Her careless soul
Her vain self
Her tough tone
Brought me back to reality
The rumors she spread
The sorrow she left
The ploy she played
Were insuperable for me
I suspected in her
But then convinced myself
That no way this girl
Would betray
my weary heart
and me with silent words
and painful tears
I sit alone
dying inside
but now I enjoy sitting
by the flame
watching this sorrowful memory
burning away…

To Never Fall Apart

Two that
share so
much in
common

Are two
from different
places.

These two
have met
through
one

This one
is evil
we can
tell.

The two are
insuperable
when put
together.

To separate,
just you and I.

You a
place in
history

And I a
song or
a story.

The other is
the other's
missing link

A puzzle
piece that
now is
whole.

The two
will stick
together

As thick
as thieves
they will.

To be apart
tears them
as so.

You and I
have searched
familiar faces

Never found
an equal
until now.

So odd
that this
had happened

So thankful
am I though.

You are
happy
as well.

"To never
fall apart."
