Lines in the Dust

In the summer heat of '47's cry,
A line was drawn beneath the sky.
Not ink, but blood, not words, but flame—
Two nations born, but none the same.

Fields once golden, shared with grace,
Now whispered names in a stranger’s place.
Neighbors turned to fleeing feet,
Homes abandoned, hearts incomplete.

The Ganga wept, the Indus roared,
As trains of silence onward soared.
One carried dreams, the other pain,
Each bound by history's heavy chain.

Mothers clutched their children tight,
As dusk replaced the promise of light.
The earth was split, but souls entwined,
By love, by loss, by ties maligned.

Yet even as the borders grew,
In every heart, an ember flew—
Of songs once sung in shared embrace,
Of temples, mosques, a common space.

Now time walks slow through wounds unhealed,
Through stories still too deep to yield.
But in the hush of evening's breath,
Hope blooms quietly out of death.

May memory teach what lines erase,
That peace begins with face to face.
Not walls, but bridges must we chart—
For no one owns a human heart.

Why I Started Writing

I wrote my first poem in Hindi
my first language, for a homework of course,
Poetry was for 'nerds' for me first
We had it as a holiday assignment,
I wrote about the Indus Valley, why I love it's sight,
A homework I thought was quite stupid, forced me to write!
I daily now, have to pick up my pen,
To add some flavor to some empty lives
I can't find that poem,
Everywhere I go,
But who cares!
I am now a poet! And I am a quite a pro!

Indo Pak History

Pakistan was born on 14th of August based on communal grounds.
Many have this misconception that India was born on 15th August.
India was at least 2222 years old country.
We got independence on 15th August 1947.
The name itself was derived from the river Indus.
Muslims in India are the second majority after Hindus.
However,they enjoy minority rights.
India provided Hajj subsidy for almost 33 years.
The subsidy was stopped by the recommendation of a
Muslim Parliament member.
Cut to the chase I want a logical answer rather than some
standard False outdated answer by those sitting in Rawalpindi...

Ask the Indus to where it flows,
from Tibetan mountains it goes,
to big blue Arabian Sea
in the city of Karachi!

It watered that ground for eons,
it has raised heroes and icons,
people from same genetic pool,
divided by British! to rule!

Oppressed suppressed enslaved and chained,
the Victorian empire gained,
condemned whole civilisation,
poverty through domination!

In this land of the proud afghans,
dividing Durand line was drawn,
separate them from Pakistan,
a vast arid state for Patans*!

Many tribal flags in this land,
invaders came to rob, disband,
people lost their identity,
sowing religious strife plenty!

Afghanistan as is today,
is seeking to stand up and say,
please leave us to have our home rule,
we are a people! not your mule!

*Patans = In India and Pakistan, Afghans are called Patans! Possibly because they settled in the city of Patna at some phase in history.

Indus River Dolphins

Indus River Dolphins are listed as, endangered
and are only found in the lower parts of Indus River, Pakistan
They are believed to have originated, in the ancient Tethys Sea
when it dried up, about 50 million years ago, an antient discovery

They are one of four, river dolphin species and sub-species
and they spend all their lives, in fresh water rivers
They use echolocation to navigate, hunt and communicate
as they’re functionally blind, and adapted to muddy waters

Numbers have declined, because of human encroachment
destroying their habitat, with all this human development
building dams and barrages, that degrades their migration
and other threats are, bycatch, poaching and pollution

Blades of Grass

No difference in hunger or fear
Calling from under the evils so near
After losing all that's clear
The empty feeling of being here
The reality exported from my eyes
I'm the sea of illusions and lies
My mind's in paradise
While my heart cries
Decisions are ready made
The Indus blown and the grass is seated
Cutting deeper than any blade

Poet In Pursuit of Theme

O' mother of the universe...
From Alkebulan, Indus Valley,
And Egypt to Minoan mounts;
You once ruled the world;
All revered your divinity force,
Ravaged devils,
Gave life to innocent folks;
'O' mother of the universe...
Embellished in gold jewelry,
Jasmine necklets strew odor;
In one hand carry sword,
To punish the erring,
In other hand flowers and herbs,
To bless us,
Assure protection from evils,
And sinful minds;
You are womb,
Carry us safe;
You are radiance,
Illuminate our soul;
You are mirror,
through reflection,
Connect our soul;
Assure contentment,
And peace of mind;
'O' mother of the universe...
Accept tribute, in honor I kneel,
Light a lamp in honor,
From the bottom of my heart;

Sodom Gomorrah

The Sodom and Gomorrah, vault,
the legends so long past,
Lots wife looked back, got turned to salt,
Atomic was it asked?

The Indus valley, vitrified ,
it even melted clay,
a rod of iron, Atlantean kind,
birds all turned white they say,

green of sand in Pakistan,
from the atomic blasts before,
nuclear winter, radioactive rain,
skeletons no gore,

Geiger counter lays the blame,
and Death he oversaw,
twenty thousand years ago,
and maybe bloody more,
pea brain man's end game!

The ancient boulder map is round
with map it's shown theron ,
shows Atlantis nearby found,
from south America, underground,
20,000 year or so old,
with artifacts so bold,
the ancient race did make,
don't listen, don't be told.

Jai Hind

A poem for republic day.....
~~~~~ Jai Hind ~~~~~~~~
From great nation, India, we hail,
Where Indus valley used to prevail.
Emperors came, emperors gone,
We always regained our own throne.
Last was the English invasion on us,
Brutal than Alexander, Ghazni, and Poras,
Wings of Golden Bird were torn,
To teach Non-violence, Bapu was born.
Bhagat, Rajguru, Sukhdev chose their way,
With combined efforts came a strong ray.
Nehru, Lala, Shashtri we can’t forget,
But for unsung heroes we regret.
Finally the moment of freedom came,
Now the wildest elephant we could tame.
Tricolour perpetually tells us to go on,
Despite of Ram, Rahim, Aryan or John.
Democracy, harmony we really praise,
Most of the intellectuals of all, we raise.
Tell everyone this noble story.
How to take the nation to zenith of glory.
Independence and republic day are not only to celebrate,
We must ever have full respect to commemorate.
India is united from Kashmir to Chennai and Assam to Sind,
Let’s come together and say aloud Jai Hind Jai Hind Jai Hind.
Hindu
Indus was also a name
add one prefix of “H”
and remove the last “s”
and a Hindu is born
I do not stay near Indus
it is little away
from my rational mind’s
calculation of distance
it can be near
if i drop my mistaken identity
I may still be a Hindu
even if the river is far
Green Glass of Sand In Pakistan
johnsondon2  |   September 17, 2010
GREEN GLASS OF SAND IN PAKISTAN
Green glass of sand in Pakistan
The atomic blast denied
Radioactive skeletons
Are buried where they fried
New Mexico has radioactive sand
war time atomic tests
Green sand is there quite unplanned
Just by the atom blest
Was it only 10,000 years ago
Since then the world expired
Brightness of a thousand suns, the blow
World reborn rebuilt rewired
Rama fought with mental might.......all the Alantean Officers dropped dead...
The enemy Generals die ............forgotten advanced visualization mind control...
Atlantean might, left in a night
Valixi crossed the sky
Vimana of Rama walked the skys
Valixi dived in quick
Metal thunderbolts & Rama dies
Indus valley, burnt the brick
Don Johnson
Valixi Atlantis (People of the Asvins, Atlantis Aeroplanes)Aeroplanes & Vimana Indian Rama
planes, which used mercury so say the repair manuals of that time. Read the ancient Indian
Mahabharata document if you doubt .
The great circle of reoccurence of life is bringing the Indian nation back to its former
glory.
For the Very Taste of Kings...
Mere words ready to knock on our salient heavenly doors,
And what does a Royal face See,what does a clean mind read in Sodom and
Gomorrah's sexfilled cockpits,bottomless abysses exhaling the throes of
passion filled wet and warm Ladies...What roguely lust..Oh! what sepulcharistic
rot,
Lets keep writing to keep up with the Pace of your slow cruising space shuttles,
We must outrun the other rocket As she heads for our Moon,your Neptune,her
Jerusalem,My cry of celebity...what hated words her ears hate to hear...Hangon
we are almost landing on jupiter..further galaxies to be covered in retrospect do
remember....
To God, His wisdom, His saving Grace or Our Wealthy Gait.
Dont Misguide enemies to think like Kings,
That hearts of true friends were salient...Must we really be true,
Remember our cabin in the North of Ireland where drakes used to come play
and mate,
Schippol's fantasy We have seen and Beheld,
Roman Cheese I drench to bliss with pure fiery grape wine,
Ancient Indus valley recipes of Snails,Sloths,Badgers,Squid and Yellow sweet
corn,
Where will fresh Palmwine drench Her hold....Maybe within the confines of
Hardnut Coconuts.
Desert ,The Constellations and My Loneliness
a dark and quite warm, mid-summer August night
standing on a rock,I humble the desert's fright
a gentle breeze blows,tingling,teasing my ears
whispering an overture, to requiem of my fears
two lights are seen,shimmering,very far, far away
someone like me is drifting,the life's lonesome highway
I gaze high in the sky, finding the LYRA or HARP
on its upper rim's shinning,the VEGA, bright and sharp
the ARCHER stands so still,at Northwest of the CROWN
meanwhile the FOX is chasing,the CYGNUS or the SWAN
a shooting star suddenly,runs away off the SHIELD
the CLUSTER OF WILD DUCK,I do see, in that field
I make a thorough scan,to spot the EAGLE or INDUS
there appears, to my dismay,a huge and dark stratus
I leave,heading for my car,turn on the CD player
John Denver's heavenly words,capture my soul as in a prayer
the dawn just now is breaking,Sunrays herald the day
I wish for;on this highway;a soulmate to cross my way
