Write Seven Beautiful Lines With A Twist Poetry Contest
Constance La France
With seven new rows added to their garden the grass is greener
By Author
At the hospital the media is following the birth of septuplets
The headliner is a mother, who brought seven JEWELS to life
Six girls and boy join their mother and father couplets
As the husband's SHADOW came to light he hugged his wife
The media's attention opened the GATE to curiosity hounds
Months later the prying knocks on their door shook their strife
The family would MUTTER each knock, wishing to stay in bounds
Quick cuts
Shows guts
Fast feet
Cuts neat
Jumps high
Runs by
Good fakes
Smooth shakes
Knows routes
Runs south
Sure hands
Wide span
Knows plays
Speed pays
On time
No fines
Great shoes
Blocks too!
In bounds-
Touchdown!
not grounding mentality
in bounds of reality
vows turn unverifiable
truth becoming pliable
judgments unreliable
when the working of our brain
leads toward being less sane
few usually agree
about structure of life's key
existence is that which is
beyond schemes in sales pitches
theories in various niches
worth being more selective
in forming of perspective
the self-image we maintain
was created by our brain
designed and fabricated
by what recall dictated
and ego then inflated
not altering that which be
only what mind thinks it sees
Love too great can drown the one adored.
As if Jove sent tsunami as a gift
Overwhelming all her personal choice.
Little offerings gentle and deserved
Will not frighten either be too swift
Love too great can drown the one adored.
Speaking kindly as we find our voice
Not shouting love, when we ought to desist
Overwhelming other’s personal choice.
At other times a lover’s been devoured
By that selfishness, we’re not impressed
Love too great can drown the one adored.
God alone can speak in such a voice
By his truth, all other is expressed
Overwhelming, merciful and right
Eros, selfish, sacred, who resists?
Keep your love in bounds, may it be blessed
Love too great can drown the one adored.
Overwhelming all their personal, unique worth
Lost in time and lost in space
Separated from the human race
It gets so hard to breath up here
Orbiting through this atmosphere
I did not truly understand
What all was involved with Rocket Man
The World below is just a globe
Staring time away out this lone port hole
I miss my family I miss my friends
The normality in which I once lived
But space and science called out my name
Now here I am as Rocket Man
I wonder do they remember me
Am I the falling star that used to be
Moving out beyond in bounds and leaps
No more now than a distant memory
This new frontier, this no man's land
Never to come down again
This certainty wasn't in my plan
This lonely orbit as Rocket Man
Pink in dress with golden flakes.
Pink in shirt with blue suit.
Glowing eyes deep in lakes,
Building something strong in root.
It takes two souls to exchange rings,
Binding the two together.
Not as detention or tying of wings
But as mutual growth of feather.
"Relationships are made in heaven
Humans bring it to reality."
The stories and poems we've always woven.
Some come in love, rest arranged by faculty.
But only a few make it to the divinity,
The ones who don't look in the eyes,
They don't bring or come for affinity
They happen in bounds where heaven lies.
Mars is red out of blushing
For these rare couples exist.
Here's this poem for the stars of the evening,
Who were born with love in their fist.
Let's bring forth our hands
For applauding the incarnation of this ivy.
Dropping from the heavenly lands
The unbreakable jodi of Gautam and Geetanjali.
Rest me of your sad sounds
Listen for a moment to the silence
Arriving in you in bounds
Beg me for a wanted look
Seeing and missing is knowing
Leaving blank pages in a book
Share yourself like broken bread
Taste a notion of bestowing
Staying thoughts to my fleeting head
Join yourself to our wary madness
Touch of love for guidance
Moving hearts from sadness
The sky was grey with touches of blue
And that’s the way I felt too.
My heart was at a very low peak
And your love I did seek.
Love is not like change you may
Find on the street
It doesn’t jump at you in bounds and leaps.
it is something that is nourished
And nurtured like a rose in the ground
It radiates beauty , yet doesn’t make a sound.
It does not scream and holler for
all the world to see, it just grows naturally.
And the scent of the rose just fills the air
And you’ll know it will always be there.
Do you remember when you told me
“that your heart was finally free”
Ever since the day that you met me.
You was in pain from an old romance
That you knew would not last.
Your heart was taken and broken in two
You searched and searched and
Didn’t know what to do.
You always had him _oh so near
Then you would shed some tears.
The heartaches and pains that you went through
You didn’t deserve- you know it’s true.
Now your hearts an open book
Releasing the pain was all it took.
you have me and a heart that’s true
I promise- I will never hurt you.
Now I see a clear blue sky
Because you are finally mine.
Simple songs and sing-a-longs
Reading the write, and righting the wrongs
Hanging noose and kissing booth
Telling lies and spreading truths
Brand new vest with a new bought dress
Cleaning up and making a mess
One in number a giant lumbers
Slipping deep into his slumber
Lazy nights and pillow fights
Soundly soaring , flying kites
Careful child and teenage wild
Passions turning hot to mild
Watching slow but graceful snow
Drifting from where angels glow
Dreaming dreams in bounds and leaps
Until we're safely back to sleep
“America `Tis of We”
Our country `t is always of we,
Chosen of us who make her free__
Therefore let us keep her as family,
Awesome of beautiful, totally free,
In bounds of perfect love’s liberty,
That her child might grow in harmony.
Thus hear of me of what she means,
Her lakes, her streams, her forested scenes,
The rich meadows, the pastures green,
Of God’s love she resides as queen.
With rivers wide I am quite satisfied,
Above one’s head the eagles glide.
Under her waters big Cat fish hide,
On this great land where fathers died.

All flowers have feelings
In actual fact
It takes lots of loving
To keep them intact
They need looking after
With blood sweat and toil
And water and feeding
Improving the soil
Keep out the weeds
That will want to attack
Kill off the flies
Either white or the black
Talk to them daily
Play them some sounds
See them improve
Both in leaps and in bounds
Be kind to your flowers
Try not to neglect
Be nice to your flowers
And you’ll gain their respect
