my impatient husband

we sit and wait and wait and sit
it never hurts, not one bit
impatience chases my husband away
he cannot wait; he will not stay

Why is the heart so confusing 
You’ve been told it’s wrong
You know it’s wrong
But you crave for them more
Not even physically
Just their presence is more than enough
You give until you’re drained
Wondering why you don’t receive as much
You care so much 
Why isn’t it the same 
You want people to feel loved and cared for

Impatient Inez could not wait her turn
Growling, snapping, snarling, doing a burn
Thinking she is the only one to wait for this groom
How did she miss the other nine of us in this waiting room?

Wandering everyday,

For a taste of your grace,

A trace of your energy.

A visit to your place,

Opening the space,

And its' tender embrace.
