Impatient Witch

IMPATIENT WITCH
A witch who was wicked and mean Couldn’t wait for the next Halloween But a Halloween spell Doesn’t work very well In June when the trees are still green In July she tried once again But got caught in a shower of rain People laughed in the street When she said, “Trick or treat” So that only ended in pain For two months she stayed out of sight Determined to get the thing right Chose not to remember August or September And save it for Halloween night She had lots of time to prepare Till the night was finally there With cauldron a-bubble She stirred up great trouble Invoking a nationwide scare

Perseverance is good advice, I guess, even for a witch. A very enjoyable read, Bryn.
