Dry Canals of the Gathering

Those who crown themselves with miters and croziers
Are dry and barren canals to which I shall describe

Boats remain frozen in their abandoned and void place
The waters being a simulacrum of doctrines
Only the arid wind gives a sense of forward time

The bubbling and fizzing spring they cut from themselves
Those who pass by recognise there is nothing to drink
Only worms and serpents live within the canals

Their waters of void do not show heaven’s face above
No vision of sparkling angels appears anywhere
Nor can people see their face on the canals

Behold the crown jewels of those called servants and watchers

Inspired by this verse "Those people are dry canals." from The Apocalypse of Peter:

Valentinus' Sight of Life

i saw a child awake and resting ~ he declared “I’m the Word of life”

Inspired by "Valentinus' Vision of the Word" (a mystical vision of Christ) found here: http://www.gnosis.org/library/valentinus/Fragments_Valentinus.htm

Healer of the Sea

Styrax staff in hand
Heals the blind and lost at sea
Calling out “Pearls! Pearls!”
Holding the book of secrets
Deep as the ocean’s abyss

Inspired by the text "The Acts of Peter and the Twelve Apostles": http://www.gnosis.org/naghamm/actp.html

Painting by Scottish painter "Peter Doig". One of the most well-known contemporary figurative artists. In the Magic Realism style, this artwork is titled 100 Years Ago.

muted shades of grey
clad in a fearful ruby
in a state of lucidity
dwelling inside his gloom

the surge of echoes
outlining melodies
a point made of obsidian

eyes devoid of spirit
darkened crevices
crows rubbed me bare
your boat is ruined with red blood
effused of victim's body.

the sea won't reflect you
Diss your curse
the sun has faded
your stained aura
the solitary light now.

Snail Sealed Away

Trapped in slothfulness
Trapped in spiral labyrinth
Will she leave her shell

Inspired by a mosiac art of snails in Aquileia Basilica. Explained here: https://theomagica.com/blog/visit-to-a-gnostic-sanctum-aquileia

Premium Member The Orford Castle

Anglo-Saxon rulers were interned in the Orford castle.
Its polygonal edges secure the town's harbor from dazzle.
Many tallies of feral men caught in fisher webs hassle.
In 1826, Joseph Turner intended a hardcover poetry book.
On his trip to England's East Coast, he was led to the fort look.
Turner drew it with a pencil tracing.
He used a deep stain on a blue rag to add raging.
Orford's fort was veiled by red twilight in a verse hard coating.

Turner's artistic gift is sought to a working-class dream sequence.
His visual poetry beats the factory revolt's time and place.
In a stunning display of moonshine, which erupts through the sky.

Spirit of Summer Night

In the spirit I see all hanging by the stars
In the spirit I see all held by the bars:
The flesh a curtain hanging under the dead soul
The dead soul an owl held by air above the knoll
The air held by ether of every star so bright
Fruits manifest themselves out of the Depth of night
A sunflower spring up from the womb of spirit

Based on the Summer Harvest psalm written by Valentinus during his time in Rome (139-160AD). http://www.gnosis.org/library/valentinus/Fragments_Valentinus.htm

THIS IS AN OPEN(organic) FORM VERSE without grammatical symbols the ' open' relies upon 'the one breath limitation' & so inherently requires the 'reader' (reciter) to input and respond thus making the form a two way interplay and often a unique interpretation by the enigma so derived

Hope

Too much worry with one's undesired fear
are destructive mental habits, it's sure
to deplete energy; what thought to do
just do, shouldn't panic, stay away from fear.

Don't allow mind to think negative view;
Some manage to stay happy, when go through
problems in life as they hope for the best;
somehow they control fear, do what to do.

They're not afraid of fear, they don't feel stressed;
they know fear kills more than disease; they're blessed
with faith they pray that helps them to endure
their suffering; they are never depressed.

They know hope keeps alive, helps to look for
ways to have peace, success while shunning fear.
