Hideousness Poems | Examples

Sadness- We Often Cross Paths

I wanted to sink my teeth in a loaf of gladdening amicability,

My abhorrence of the woodland solitude was my grave folly ,

I searched the crux of life in the cacophonous chaos of muddled souls ,

The chimerical hideousness of that rusty chair under the parched tree deceived me some more,

It was when I stumbled upon the rock of despair,

Is when that rusty chair under the cruel dark sky lend its hand to repair,

One might think, in this world of garish identity, what needs to be repaired,

The puzzle dismantled the moment I gazed at the clouds while I sat on that rustic chair.

Glass

Beautiful things encapture me,
As though I am within glass,
Ice blue eyes,
A weakness of mine,
The way he smiles,
Another layer of glass,
I should not feel such things,
Blurred behind so many layers,
Isolated by such a man,
Taken so abruptly,
Only to be cast away just as fast,
Another layer of glass between us,
A beautiful thing I must lay to rest,
My heart was yours,
But never would yours be mine,
Cast away such a fruitless venture,
Enraptured by your beauty,
Yet ultimately rejected by your hideousness,
Things that lie beneath that glass,
The ugly truth of love and lust,
Lust is what you feel strongest,
Love is what I aspire for,
Glass it blurs, confines,
Ultimately I was blinded by you,
Your beauty ending just below your skin,
Such a marvelous disaster we were,
Now, we must part ways,
Glass walls surrounding us both,
To blur such things once again

The jaundiced eye is yellow -
but not the yellow of sunny cheerfulness or optimism
Rather – the yellow of an alcoholic’s eyes
when after years of feeding his destructive habit,
he is stricken ill and is dying.
Like the bad drunk who blames others
for his miserable condition,
he of the jaundiced eye
finds his own hideousness staring back at him
in the eyes of those in whom his own misdeeds he sees
and then judges as worthless.
By viewing things through yellow eyes,
he is– in fact – yellow.
The yellow of cowardiceness
and the yellow of jealousy and anger
reside in the whites of his eyes.

He is sick, and his sickness seeps through his soul,
infecting his thoughts and actions,
which in turn infects those around him.
His negativity and bias may hurt others,
but in the end,
he has mainly hurt only himself.
Unless he makes a mighty change,
he will disintegrate ultimately
into the horrible dark void
of his own mortality.

And the water rolling down a mountain does the talking
where the streams murmuring echoes inside this earth
Heart of one thousand whispers enters the soul
rendering homage to Justice
sin is an outrage to Thy Majesty
Vain driven desires will never see the truth
where demons reveal themselves in all their hideousness
disturbed minds trying to appear normal
Silence is the burden of those that are trapped
trauma within an internal fire driven by hate burns
filled with fearful despair
this miracle is greater than creation itself
when the Potter turns and fires the clay created
so the suffering evil will literally become ashes
Remember His coming brightness It outshines the sun

Elephant

Possessed of grace
You delight & enchant
Awe-inspiring
Elephant
with your elegance
supreme sentient
For you, we hymn & marvel
at your superior intelligence
Yet, it is evident
& in direct reference
to our negligence
Our decadence
sets precedence
Our dollars fund your terrorists

Exploited elephant
beast of burden, bated
Your magnificence
Your splendor
…attenuated
Tourist degenerates
…terror
…torment
All for our arrogance
& irreverence
Our all encompassing wretchedness
To hold captive such gloriousness
To enslave your majesty
your excellence
Your nobility stolen by our hideousness
Lament
The elephant

My Souls Taken

My soul got taken away a few days back
I wrenched and moved
But, I was unable to withstand
The force of life that pulls you away
That force left me in a sway
The hideousness of the world
The gird of the unwinding word
I twist in turmoil
I scream in Pain
I do not know what is happening to me
I know not what to do
All I know is something inside of me is lost forever too
The fear I feel,
The anger I vent
The utter despair perpetuates
I can no longer hold on to life like I used to
I can no longer seem to hold it straight
I want to be strong but They keep pulling me Down
I want to stand up but their thoughts weigh me down
I want to live in peace
I want to go away
To a far off place
Where I may just lay down and stay…..

Queen of Hideousness

Deep within Bellowserma’s heart,
Is said to be a being of horrific might.
With octal limbs,
And equal part eyes of night,
This beast of myth cares for none.

She hates all in sight,
And takes to devouring life slow.
She drains prey in a single bite,
Leaving a blighted husk to rot
In the forever-night.

With hideous love,
She tends to her nest;
Her gruesome nest,
With gruesome care;
A care which never rests.

She scuttles about her woven home,
While Hissing at movement sounds.
She rarely leaves to roam,
Preferring to stay and organize
Her mounds of bones.

Two Novembers Ago

The first time I saw you
Two Novembers ago
My heart filled with pure and utter love
To the point where it nearly burst

The way your glassy green eyes sparkled
The way your messy hair never really sat right on your head
The way your left front tooth stuck out

Was nearly too much for me

But today I saw you
Two Marches later
And my heart filled with pure and utter hatred
To the point where it nearly exploded

The way your eyes look like the dull shade of brown I've vomitted so much because of you
The way you cut off your beautiful fair locks
The way your crooked teeth stick out whenever you speak

Funny how
All your imperfections were once too beautiful for me to bare
And now,
I see nothing but hideousness

Premium MemberThe Feeling Called Love

He could never be loved by anyone
nature made him that way,
from the day he was born
poetic words of infirmity
adjectives of hideousness,
filtered across the dale
carried on the whim of revulsion,
this an impulsion by all
fair and decent
to ridicule to humiliate.
Every single day he curses fate
curses the power of the holy
whose earthly representatives
refused him baptism, leaving him Godless,
this compounded by the defect
that is reflected by a chance glance
when once passing a store window,
yet through all this hatred
a magic moment, when he saw
in me a friend.
“Sometimes a feeling” He cried
“A deep yearning inside of me,
‘please tell me’” He pleaded
“Could this be; ‘The Feeling called love?’”

Abandon

Beauty betrayed me for it has found another
Now her splendor shines for all to see
My hideousness hides under this thinly veiled cover
All eyes on her
I have been forgotten long ago
She holds the baton now
My beauty just a blur
Once a merry go round of decadence
Now just benign
It’s gone and faded away
She’s at the end
A new one comes
She joins the club
The abandoned ones
We are all the same underneath
