People come and people go
and how the times do change
but something here needs to be done
it should be rearranged
preachers pundits politicians
won't ever set things right
the man in the street can make a difference
if he takes up the fight
so many souls lost at sea
tho' they're on dry land
action speaks louder than words
they need a helping hand
and I'd rather see one good deed
putting things back on track
than hear one more kind word
a verbal pat on the back
I prefer to see
one good deed done willingly
lip service carries no weight at all
none whatsoever with me

Monocrostic (Birthday of Flory Velasco)
In a world full of despairs, distrust and betrayals.
World one can not lean on nor breathe.
Sanctuaries turned to haunted abode...
Nightmares with bleak future a norm as hope
Long gone, leaves immeasurable void engulfed with Darkness and solitude. Uncertainty lies ahead, steep paths
Leads to illusion. I ask what is the way forward?
Out of this uncertainty comes a firm hand that refuses to
Align with the order of the day, a hand which saves those Who comes to it's succour, like a balm to a wounded soul.
Soothing and comforting, a hand to the drowning souls,
A hand that never fails like the Hand of the Creator.
Born in a family of 13, a tail in line but never allowed this to hamper his goal, a fulfilled being, a pillar and light that shines thru places as opaque as mercury.....
Alas! This hand like an an Angel guides lost ones to hidden hope.
Peter I. the hand that bears the burden of others. Thank you, I celebrate you.Never lose strength in doing good for your reward awaits in life and after life.
Dedicated to you Peter .I.
If you can't win
Help other win
His own record.
For many years now,
alongside me,
a presence
has accompanied.
It is that helping hand,
that saved me,
from your wrong opinions,
your self-delusions,
and the lies you tell yourself.
Latterly,
it has been attending my own
mistaken assumption,
and foolish humbug.
If you could read my mind
Kindly give me a helping hand
For I have lost the power of speech
But I beseech of you my friend
Do not take advantage of my situation
To unleash mental terror on a soul
Already brutalised to submission
Please do not read my mind wrongly
If you could read my mind
You would see that my heart is bleeding
From anger and frustration
Choking the very life out of me
If you could read my mind
You would see shame and frustration
Tearing my heart apart
As my father land has lost all decency
Preferring to celebrate lies and larceny
Oh, poor heart, why are you in so much pain?
Why do you take this heart ache, when someone who you know is in pain.
Someone's sleepless nights, someone's despair,
The heart bleeds when fate punishes someone so unfair.
Although people know and sympathize with the misery,
the helping hands, close friends and relatives vanish in a hurry.
Oh lord, how can I ignore such pain even when I am struggling to survive?
The poor heart will feel better thinking it helped someone's will to survive.
Whether happy or unhappy, I sing Narasinh Mehta's song,
"One who is human, knows the pain of others,
Does good to others who are in misery,
and does not let pride enter his or her mind"
Narasinh Mehta – 17th Century Indian poet
For some the weight of the land will task a heavy load
A load so hand to bear
Although it may be lightened with many hands to share
Not just hands against the doughts nor floods and fires faced
But a hand upon the shoulder
With understanding placed
In a society where everyone is busy,
you seldom take your neighbors seriously.
Sometimes, it's better to write your own poem
than to gossip about other people's problem.
Even if you're working from home
there's not much time for you to roam,
for time passes too quickly.
There's not much time for neighbor's company.
And if you wish to be a productive person,
sometimes, it's better to mind your own.
Just see to it that you lend a helping hand
when one of your neighbors could hardly stand.

A Helping Hand
Miracle Man
7/23/2022
Life hasn’t always been
rainbows and daisies.
Some days it seemed
the sun didn’t shine.
My time was spent
on problems with crazies.
Instead of addressing
those that were mine.
Old pallid lady seen here,
frail from cold,
snow-slicked roads,
sluggish old woman,
a young guy,
stopped, whispered,
I'll lend a safe fist,
life is an unwinnable battle?
guide the trembling feet,
and was proud of his strength and greet.

Awakening today to a newly retired life,
I'm more attuned to the world around me,
Grateful our freedoms mean little everyday strife,
Unlike hapless people across the sea.
Let's appreciate this weekend,
Others' sacrifices for this blessed land,
Not let political squabbles our unity rend,
Instead offer each other a helping hand.

Every chance you can remember to give a helping hand to someone no matter what. Because it's no telling who you are going to be giving a helping hand to these days and just how much it's going to mean to the person that you are giving a helping hand to. We all at some point in life can give someone a helping hand in some kind of way and it will really show that person that you give a helping hand to that there are still good people out there in the world that cares even if it is their last that they are going to be helping you with. So when you do give a helping hand to someone remember that no matter what you are going to be getting something back in return later on in life for that helping hand that you had just given to someone who needed it and you didn't ask for anything back in return for the helping hand that you had just given someone who really needed it at that time. We all need to look out for each other and help each other in anyway that we can because it's the right thing to do.
Surely safe is
proceed ahead,
If the friendly hand
that precedes us
guard and protect us
omnipresently...!
With
one
lever
borrowed
by a helping hand,
I will humanize the world
I will build novel life!
