In the depths of my heart, cold winds of unrest whisper
In the depths of my heart, cold winds of unrest whisper,
Words that can never be written on pages of dreams,
In the silence between us hides an ocean of desires,
But I cannot be the hope you wished to find.
You know why, but you hide from the truth that weighs heavy on you,
Yet I know that one day you will understand what you do not want to believe,
And then, I hope we are far apart, lost on foreign paths,
For I could not bear to see you realize that I am not enough.
My heart? It’s a shadow, almost lifeless, just a mechanism,
Pumping blood without feeling, silence has swallowed its song,
Once it cried out, had a word to say, but now it is mute,
A faded echo on the path of time, a void that can no longer be filled.
I would have said to wait, but I know I cannot reach your heights,
I am not the man of your dreams, just a passerby on the road,
So leave, run away from me as far as you can, while you still can,
For you should never lose yourself for someone like me.
And worse, I might love you, and that would be our downfall,
Two stars colliding in the night, leaving only ashes,
In a universe where silence sings a melancholic melody,
Where goodbye is the only word that echoes eternally.
