Premium Member If You See Harvey

Have you met Harvey, the Himalayan bar-headed goose?
He was around here yesterday, fancy-free, on the loose
he is a high flyer like the African griffon bird
Can zoom straight up for hours, on my word

They both can glide to a summit peak of a mountain top
maybe past cirrus clouds, for they do not stop
if you see him, please let me know
we have a telegram for him down below

Premium Member Harvey Elephant Lives Life In Fear

The biggest thing about Harvey Elephant was his fear.
He was afraid of zebras, fox, muskrats, opossums, even a deer.
He was terrified of oak trees, willows and sycamores too.
His mother asks, “What in the world are you going to do?”

He can’t go to the city, his father says. “He is afraid of glass.”
“He is also afraid of horns, sirens, electricity and cars that take gas.”
He could be a computer nerd and work by himself someone says.
“Great except he is afraid of computers,” said his cousin Inez.

Ode to John Harvey

"my uncle
for you are a man I care for deeply
a man, a steadfast companion

you are my uncle
you are my soul, my hand
you are the sun

I shall always cherish, my uncle
My uncle
But where would I be without you forgotten
You are the my uncle a man John Harvey

In the future you are the one
I shalt forever always adore my uncle like a father to me
In a rainstorm my covering you hold my spirit soul in your hands
You who truly, truly understand, you’re such a quiet strong man
When I am in life’s boat in the storm alone
You are the one, a port in a storm
In space and time you are my moon
You never forsaken me always closer than soon
my uncle
for you are a man I care for deeply
a man, a steadfast companion

you are my uncle
you are my soul, my hand
you are the sun

I shall always cherish, my uncle
My uncle
But where would I be without you forgotten
You are the my uncle a man John Harvey"

To Harvey, For His Birthday

A stranger turned into a friend,
You brighten my mornings no end.
It’s great to say hi
To a really nice guy
On whose greeting I’ve come to depend.

This pandemic has seemed to erase
Interactions we used to embrace
But at least we can chat
And I’m grateful for that,
Though one day, maybe I’ll see your face!

*I see Harvey on my early morning walks in the city.
We met during the pandemic and are both masked, of course...

I Know, What Happens To Harvey Weinstein

I know, what happens to Harvey Weinstein,
it's pure embarrassment, pure a shame,
But most of producers of the Hollywood movies,
In closets have own skeletons with the boobis!

Premium Member Harvey Korman Thinking Aloud

How about Carol wears the curtain rods?
That would be hysterical.
No one else got it.
But I am Harvey Korman and I have some say.

Most popular episode in history.
Even Vicky is not as popular unless she is mama.
Vicky as Carol's mama is hilarious.
This show gets better every second.

Then we grab up Tim Conway.
I have never laughed so hard in all my life.
He cracks me up totally.
And we are in front of a live audience!

My days on earth were the best.
Carol Burnett could fall down better than anyone
And get more laughs with just a glance than
All the rest of us put together.

Calling John Harvey

John holds a towel to his bruised up face
another whisky soaked self inflicted haze

He calls an ambulance, the only number he knows
a prank call just for them to show

He's angry at the world again
the help he called for he starts threatening,

They leave and he calls them right back
a bit more chaos before a nap

To the passerby he yells "I'm dying"
If they knew him they'd know he is lying

Into a cell he shall soon head
some company, a free meal and bed

He's not mad he just wants to waste time
not believing it to be a crime,

and the money that they say he's wasted
is not his, so he's not exactly devastated

Compulsive number dialing, out of hand
a 'menace to society' or just a lonely old man ?

Harvey Weinstein

Harvey Weinstein's & John Conyers
I am not in favor of those
Might be that was consensual or force
Many celebrities
Political leaders
Accused by women and men
Specially so called celebrities
If I am not wrong
Western countries people are free from fear
To lodge complain against wrong doers
The very simple question to the persons
Why they have not shown their courage?
Why they were silent for decades
Why they have not shown their courage to lodge complain
Why they have chosen this time?
If they have lodged complain on time
Might be lot of women saved from abuse of sex
However, their intention is mysterious and ridiculous
Seems they are inclined to tarnish
Images of celebrities and political leaders
From their society
Why? Why? Why?

Harvey Weinstein

The world of Harvey Weinstein
Has spun out from his control
His brother went and fired him
Amidst the hyperbole

But Donald Trump can save him
For neither know remorse
And groping seems so natural
You know they'll stay the course

Their victims band together
Sharing everlasting shame
If no one is responsible
Then God must take the blame

But Sherlock Holmes can quickly
Identify the fool
Who really needs an actress
To fix a worn-out tool?

HARVEY - NOT CHILD’S PLAY

Houston, we have a problem ~
where the throngs of children played,
only possessions remain
in giant heaps - mattresses, furniture
and hefty bags brimming.

Two boys step over threshold
to survey the damage to their home,
for the first time, since the storm’s surge.

Several boxes labeled Hurricane,
contain fans. All is calm in aftermath,
ready for forward march,
albeit months of reparations.

Bare bones, as if in early stages
of construction, with see-through walls.

Boys in blue shirts, step into their room.
Dad points out which ones were theirs.

He asks them, “How do you feel?”

And the simple answer,
echoing from a child’s lips,
stabs you in the chest,
sucks the air,
in vise-like vortex,

“sad…”

Harvey Will Hit Tennessee

Well Harvey will finally hit Tennessee.
That means rain for you and me.
Yes, the heavy rain is coming
But so far not to hard this morning.

I hear it splashing off my windowsill,
So stay inside, I think I will.
It hits the wall with a splash.
I hope the wind don’t scatter trash.

It's cloudy in the sky above
No birds, not even a dove.
The sky is black and dark and grey
It's going to be a stormy summer day.

Sitting by the window just watching it go by.
It's as clear as a diamond falling from the sky.
It makes puddles in the ground,
But can’t help but to like that sound.

It’s a gift from God, don’t you know,
For the rain is what makes nature grow.
We should thank the Lord for every drop.
But later we will wish it would stop.

So inside I’ll have to stay,
Going to be a gloomy day.
So, on facebook I will be
If you need to talk to me.

Harvey 2017

As we look through the eyes
of those in fear
Don't ever forget it could have
been here
The Sea was angry and set
forth a rage
That put the amount of rain
off any weather's gage
Nature and its fury headed
straight for the gulf
The time needed to set out
just wasn't enough
No one was safe as it came
ashore
As we look back now we
should have done more
Lives were lost in the
devastationyou see
It could have been you or
could have been me
No place is spared when nature
takes its course
Our hearts are heavy and
filled with remorse
I ask you GOD please give
them immediate peace
Like you commanded the waters
within hands reach
Thank you for the responders and
to all those reaching out
For in their hearts you will
see no doubt
Sadness is seen everywhere
you look
For this will go down in every
history book

Premium Member Hurricane Harvey

Hurricane Harvey arrived in the night,
pushing tidal waters onto the shore.
And wailing in the dark, absent of light,
His deadly winds surround His inner core.

Sucking up gulf waters, He spews out rain,
the torrential downpours flooding the ground.
And in His wake, destruction, death, and pain
abound; as the rains continue to pound.

The rivers peek and the sewers back up,
a slurry or water begins to rise.
And folks that hunkered down run out of luck,
now needing rescue, the world hears their cries.

Texans are tough; they don't come much tougher
but even they; aren't too tough to suffer.

Harvey

Harvey

I sit in my chair

Lovely music playing;

Afternoon sun shining;

Birds filling up to roost.

I look out my sliding doors;

The ferns are lush.

I hear a baby cry,

There is a sloshing sound,

Muscle sore boatmen

Never giving up.

Just a short way south,

Could I but see through the trees.

Last night fell.

Wet ladies from a nursing home,

May have to battle pneumonia.

Children’s new backpacks drowned.

Soon there will be silence and slushing,

Hovering people in shelters bewildered.

Families clinging.

No work today, except to survive.

When all is lost.

Politicians doing what they do.

And yet, Harvey has not died, nor does he sleep.

Soon again, it will be dark.
