Eve, your senryu is heartfelt. It's really sad what is happening to them. So many lives affected. We can only give donations and pray, but the guys that are actually going into the water to save people. Isn't it incredible?

Living in Texas I've seen Houston battle their share of storms but nothing like this. This is devastating. Lots of folks need lots of help. Thank you for drawing more attention to their needs...

I see that there are a lot of Senryus and Haikus on the soup right now. I wonder why that is? Russell has dipped in and written a few of them himself. I'll post them later. It's sad what has happened in Houston. My husband lived in Texas at one time in his life, and lived in College Station, which is about an hour away from Houston. They went there on some weekends. My husband says, "Your poem is spectacular, and very emotionally charged write. I would have written, "blue-grey clouds" where you
