Gossip Poems

Back It Up

I hear the way you talk
of your friends without end,
the gossip goes on non-stop,
about them and their men,
so vicious the things you say,
shock to see, candidly,
imagine what you must claim
about me, when you’re free…

Back it up,
take that sh-t elsewhere,
woman, I no longer care.
Pack it up,
The drama I’ll spare,
woman, I no longer care.

Eyes sparkle when thing

Beneath the stars, a glittery haze,
A cosmic queen in her celestial daze.
She told me, "Darling, can't you tell?
This is just your fabulous destiny, spelled!"

She pulled out cards, all shimmery and bright,
And whispered secrets, bathed in moonlit light.
"The stars align, the moon's a rosy hue,"
(I just wanted to find my favorite shoe!)

"The Darkside of Aquarius,

Back Home, My Own

Some said, ”Stay 'way from her,
that girl never brings no good.”
Some said, ”She’s just a prude,
don’t know a good time like she should.”
Some said, ”She’s much too loose,
she’d gonna leave you with a disease.”
Some said, ”She’s an ice-queen,
won’t commit, nothin’ but a tease.”

I find myself intrigued,
this girl that can’t fit in,
those walking contradictions
always make me

Valiant Lips

My dear, I share with you a truth:
A life lesson I have lived.
Discretion is valor, a silent shield,
A strength that guards the heart revealed.

Be not the man who parrots all he hears,
Who, finding no one to tell,
Confides in the door.
He's a fool lost in words that wound and bore.

Let discretion be your strength—
Bridle your tongue

When Their Whispers Became Too Loud

In the stillness of darkness
mockery, lies, gossips like air arise
dragging you down, for a penny sake
Abuse of power just for wealth.

Who would have thought of these silent moves?
Cheating on a poor innocent
While still in a dungeon of fire in a
gloomy weekly days and nights in lost paradise.

The so-called "smile" is a shadowed
for the world to

COUNCIL OF WHISPERERS
they gather—
     the council of whisperers.

their tongues are like daggers,
     sharp and jagged.

distorted by the lens of others’ eyes,
each word, a falsehood, an inuendo.

they script the downfall,
a play of betrayal where the protagonist stumbles.

they do

I Found Her Heartbroken

I found her spirit heartbroken;
she needed someone who would listen.
Her hot tears made my own eyes glisten
as on and on she labored, outspoken.

In time, her story would in part, soak in;
she wanted her baby to be christened.
I found her spirit heartbroken;
she needed someone who would listen.

A neighbor’s harsh words had woken
her to the fact,

Come closer ears
Come closer hearts
I'll whisper as the lie departs
My lips

Will pout
My eyes will scan
The room surveyed as truthless
Scam

Devours with teeth
Pointed and sharper
Than gracious softness when truth
Doth scarper

The vampire bite
Without reflection
To veer your soul in wrong
Direction

Don't tell. It's just
Twixt you and me
No harm intended just..
Promise me

This won't be shared
I want the best
To pass this reputation

Oh, my gosh, I’m freaking and feel such dread.
What the hay is this nonsense on my head?
I can’t go to work, can't enter the office!
I will be seen, visible to peers and bosses,
be the fool who provided entertainment gossip.
God, please, send help, I am stress-nauseous.
I do not care about appearing faultless,
but I'd

When the cold winds blow
And the hostile natives are restless
It’s time to wake up, smell the coffee
And cut your losses.

What is there to push back on, after all,
But the bitter taste
Of someone else’s resentment;
The mighty wind of their off-gassing.

The world is wild and cruel
Even within the treacherous smile of neighbors
When dog eats dog possesses

the gossip goes that the lad O'Shea
stands accused of mischief and horseplay
worse ~ caught righthanded at the town café
looking for a quick and easy payday
now he's laying low in some forsaken hideaway
waiting to make a swift getaway
trying his best to outrun judgment day
in his best friend's brand new Chevrolet

Well this will be my last Alphabet gossip poem
As l was summoned to Alphabet H.Q’s this morning
Told in no uncertain terms there will be ‘no more Alphabet gossip’
And given my final warning

So, l wanted to tell you about the letter A
Who stands full of pride at the start of “ The Bet”
A…happens to be the

I have a little more gossip to share with you
Again about the alphabet
There is unrest amongst some of the letters
Creating stress and letter upset

Now, Z has major anger issues
Due to an inferiority complex
Being the least popular and used letter
Z feels a complete lack of respect

O is also not a happy camper
Though O’s situation is
