Fresh Coat of Paint

There will be times that are gloomy
cloud covered in grey
when days are looking dingy
nothings going your way.

Do you rise to the occasion
or fold under the weight
feels like walls are closing in
a psychological state.

Break free from the darkness
and the joy that it taints
better days shall appear
like a fresh coat of paint.

Premium Member A Fresh Start

Flawlessly shining
Sunrays careen o’er fields
Hope stirs once again

Premium Member A New Morn

Pain holds its insistence pressed against me.
I dream of a misty, selfless new morn ~

easing me free with a true smile
to greet a

                                             Dew Fresh Morn

With dawn of dew fresh morn
                                                 A smiling sun
                                           Gilds the clear horizon
                                                Behind the hills
                                      Spreads sparks of hope afield
                                                  And is on run
                                            Across the azure sky
                                              To shine with thrill!

Premium Member Dew Fresh Morn

 On a fine spring morning
saw dew drops GLEAM
They shone like glass globules
Some rested COOL
on slender leaves of grass
Gems they did SEEM
But in time they vanished
pliant to RULE!

Premium Member Dew Fresh Morn

An ombré of coal black
zinnia red
across stygian sky
metamorphose
the stelliferous night
when sunrays tread
the dewy morn awakes
red as a rose!

Premium Member In the forgotten garden of my heart, you are the fresh flower that blooms

In the forgotten garden of my heart, you are the fresh flower that blooms,
A friend who lights my paths when storms caress my soul,
No matter how many winds blow, you are the unmovable rock in time,
Beside me always, like a lighthouse in an ocean troubled by dreams and shadows.
You know me in my deepest, most hidden depths, like an open book,
You support me through hells and lift me when the world extends its claw,
Remind me of my worth when doubt drowns my gaze,
You are the ray of light piercing the fog, guiding my steps toward dawn.
In a world where smiles are masks and friendships often fade,
You remain steadfast, loving me for who I truly am, without masks,
You are the one who knows every detail, the jokes, and shared dreams,
You have seen my brilliance and did not turn away when fear enveloped me.
Through laughter and tears, through challenges that come, steadfast as rocks,
I know I have someone who guards my path, wherever the wind may take me,
And when the years pass, and the world dances around us, ever-changing,
This friendship will remain a love that will always be true and pure.

How Much Must I Own

How much must I own to be free—
A ring of gold, a single key?
The stars are mine each cloudless night,
The wind is mine in silent flight.

I do not ask for halls of stone,
Nor call a crowded place my own;
A quiet room, a skyward tree,
And that, I think, is wealth to me.

The sea has never asked for more
Than moonlight touching its pale shore,
And birds that nest in eaves at dawn
Know nothing rich but being drawn.

Let others count their silks and land,
I'll take a candle in my hand—
A song to sing, a soul to keep,
A place to cry, a place to sleep.
And someone’s name I softly say
Before the dark takes me away.
