A Fresh Heart
Create in me a clean heart, O God.
Make my spirit right again, fresh and true.
Wash away the old mess inside me
So I can walk with You each new day.
When night comes, I lie down in peace.
You alone, Lord, keep me safe while I sleep.
No worries chase me into the dark—
Your care is my quiet resting place.
You watch over every step I take,
My going out and coming in,
Today, tomorrow, and forever.
You guard my path in every direction.
How good and pleasant it is
When brothers and sisters live together in unity!
We gather every day with one heart,
Sharing meals in homes, full of gladness and simple joy.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Provide what we need right now—
For our bodies, our hearts, our tomorrow.
I commit my work and plans to You, Lord.
I lay my thoughts at Your feet.
Then my steps become steady and sure,
My life built strong on what matters most.
Clean heart, peaceful nights,
Together as one, daily bread in hand—
This is the beautiful life You give,
Held safe in Your hands forever.
