In This World

Peacefully he drapes me in his coat
It’s careless poetry that I never wrote
And my skin retreats like autumn leaves from the snow
Is there someone in this world that I care to know?

A thousand years of love crafted his bones
I hear it in his voice when we are alone
And should he ask for someone to follow
Is there somewhere in this world that I wouldn’t go?

LALIBELA

Thousands of miles above water
Lies a marvel too holy
To name
And too beautiful to deny

Carved from rock, a city of faith
Where hands of devotion shaped stone
Each church a whisper of eternity
Each alley a hymn in shadow and light

Pilgrims tread the worn paths
Their prayers rising like incense smoke
Windows frame the sun’s gentle kiss
On walls that have held centuries of hope

Lalibela, where earth meets heaven
Where history sleeps in quiet majesty
And every stone speaks of a people
Who dared to dream with their hands and hearts

Here, time bends,
And the soul remembers
That beauty is both sacred and human
And wonders are born from belief.

Sin

And I know, from freedom and by fate,
that the sky will weep upon us, Kohl in tears of virgins who has never taste,
the night that caste the shadows of its veil upon our decayed flaws on sand,
Glory remains the struggle to embracing a sent of belonging to a homeland,
The sorcery in your eyes steals the soul, I swear by my sacred-self and the Ghoul,
The roses I once plucked withered, burning, turning, sacrifices to my widowed,
Your burdens plant upon my back the weight of the past, once thought to last
Your wounds stain my hands with the blackness of guilty blood and dirty mud

And I realize that I am utterly ignorant of the holiest meanings of purity,
that I have profaned the sacred—
and if there is possibility to piety, it will mess my sanity and rip my dignity.

Where all beauty calls home

The feel of your body,
your warmth against my back.
The sound of your breathing
The scent of your skin.
It is in the truth of these moments
That all beauty calls home.

Your arms make me feel safe from that first glance.
Your soul, my safe haven.
You had me at hello.
Those true colors peeking through your walls: strength, love, and devotion.
You are my yin to my yang.
You ground me.

We’ve pushed through, standing our ground through sickness and trial, yet we still hold the line for our family we’ve created.

As years pass and looks fade, I will still see the soul I fell in love with from day one.

Happy Anniversary, my love.

The Price of Freedom

the price of freedom Is Bloodshed
We pay for freedom with Bloodshed
We living free cause of Bloodshed
More bloodshed, more bloodshed

Ideas of freedom got people shot in the head dead
I’m not saying anything another never said
Give me liberty or give me death
Slaves even had to steal it, and so they left
But it was bloodshed, That paved the way
And it was bloodshed that made them stay
And it was bloodshed that made them fight
And it’s bloodshed that gives - freedom LIGHT
Somebodies gonna pay, see that’s GODs WAY
I didn’t make the rules, I just play
NO waterfall tears bringing back NO life
muslim's do it 4 Allah, Christians 4 Christ

cause the price of freedom is bloodshed
We pay for freedom with bloodshed
We living free cause of bloodshed
More bloodshed, more bloodshed

withered Bloom

Look what have you done
The deeply etched scars
The immutable pain, once
there was no place for burn

Saw a pretty innocent girl
how she was always smiling
Her feminine, she's dead
She looks alive, but she's gone

The poetry when she spoke
The rhymes that you broke
The heart? it used to pump
Ironic enough it still yearns

Silent nights full of grief
Whispers of soul's belief
My sorrows are conscious
My happiness? never took a turn

Adoration, devotion,
fondness and what not
Majestic embrace, regal grace
Was that all, just for fun?

The madness I always showed
Your real You was what followed
I'm at peace, the soil fits in well
I'm buried below a pretty green fern

THE POPE'S EMPTY CHAIR II

The chair sits empty on the alter floor
Its arms holding memories unseen
Once carrying prayers, uplifting souls
Now a silent witness waiting in sacred stillness
A core hollowed where mercy stood
Longs for the return of the humility of Christ
A muted longing, poised for grace
Where absence rests seeping out into Alberti’s space
The alter listens as prayers of devotion rise
Filling the void with hope
Holiness prepares to pour back in
Like dawn returning after the thinning tortured night
Fullness shall dwell where emptiness reigns
Strength flowing upon the embroided papal cushion
The sun brushes the valley of the nave
Rosy light spills a quiet promise
Into the incense filled smoky sadness
A renewing earth breathing words still unspoken
Is alive in prayer
Lifting promises beyond the veil of death
Into the warming morning air

THE POPE'S EMPTY CHAIR

The chair sits empty on the altar floor,
its arms long held memories lost from sight.
Once carrying prayers, uplifting souls,
a silent witness to life now waiting in muted space.
As too my heart and soul are emptied
of the fullness of the humility of the living Christ
An empty silence stands where mercy stood,
a throne calling out to be restored in grace.
Yet in this disquieted quiet the voices
of the dearly loved homeless and un-fed are heard
As the altar watches prayers of devotion rise,
in the emptiness prepared for God to realize.
And His world shall pour its holiness back in,
like dawn returning after the night air has grown thin.
Fullness shall lay on the cushion where absence now sits,
filling the hollow with dignity and strength .

As the sun rises across the valley of the nave
of this incensed filled smoky sadness
A golden rosy light flows through upon the marbled vault,
as a quiet promise of a renewing earth.
Morning air is poised to carry prayers still unsaid,
as promises rising from beyond the dead,
And hope is reborn in radiant glory
out of a now breathing silence into a new unfolding story.

IN THE LAVENDER AND ROSES

Lay me to rest in the lavender and roses
That I have planted in the silence beneath
Stone walls closing off the world of noise
Where I have sat and thought of only you
In prayers preparing me for your presence

Lay me in the lavender and roses
Where I have studied the clouds
And heard the voices of protecting angels
Where I have watched the bees seek nectar
And butterflies salt from skin’s memory of tears

Lay me in the lavender and roses
And let me turn back into earth
Remember me for what I wanted to be
For what I could do considering the torment
And brutality of the life I lived for you.

I saw....
Two black crystal balls
Rimmed with white
Reflecting an indefinable emotion
Glowing with some intense passion

Riveting,
Entrancing!

Two eyes of oceanic depths
Relaying the most intimate message
What did they commune?
PERHAPS- they said silently- "I love you" (?)

So piercing were those eyes
That I couldn't stand their electric glare
From those eyes, rose the Promethean fire
Glistening like molten gold,
At once sending out,
The light of a hundred galaxies.

In the fire bursting through those eyes,
My body was turned into a conflagration
And my soul rippled like fermented wine.

Why didn’t I respond instantly
PERHAPS, I was so stunned,
That my body couldn’t follow the sense’s urging

An ocean was stirring within
Whose whirls could never again be tamed
In those flooding pools,
Let me cast my fishing net.

What catch, can I expect?
PERHAPS, the boon and bliss of a lifetime!

Blood Honey

I will wear you like Jackie did
let you soak my hands
cradle you, soft & warm

The world wasn't made for us

Heywah

Any god that creates beings to serve them is a slaver and a robber, and therefore a false god.
Surely deep within the heart of humankind, lays a God of grace, freedom and love.
That watches and sees all and where possible expounds it's grace, freedom and love,
through and to those who are receptive. This is the one true God.
This great God of grace, freedom and love whom I shall simply call She,
does not require sacrifice, does not create servants or slaves.
She is the infinite source of all and simply gives of her wealth freely,
to any one who will accept her, She alone is Almighty, Most High, I AM.
I love Her.
From Her comes life and to Her it returns.
From Her comes love and to Her it returns.
She is the foundation and the source of all things.
She is eternal and everlasting.
When we surrender fully to Her, we become Her and yet in losing ourselves we become ourselves.
Heywah. Selah.
It's not about obedience, servitude or slavery.
It's about co-operation, grace, freedom and love.
Love is a gift that is meant to be given and in giving the more becomes the greater. Selah.

Evensong

They say eyes are
a memoir, stories stolen from memory
that may or may not exist—but either way
iris plays storyteller.

At the bottom of my glass,
a pair of ocean eyes dyed brandy
searches—for an identity.

	Nothing
but a blurred face with no features
—perhaps no stories ever lived to be stolen
though the shape of shadowy tears
are oddly clear—they consume the least amount of light
then drool them out, uneven,

like trembling breaths of an old firefly—

Brings my mind to this
long summer, air reeks of damp, molded plums
even in a marble kitchen: always rancid,
though pores exhale wispy musk and oak—
A scent fitting
for a firefly reaching for summer’s tail,
behind it death’s haggard palm.
His voice sibilant, mocking
its effort: as when summer ends
life ends shortly after.

Pupils follow the wavering ghost of firefly—
stars grayish azure, grasping anything gravity can pull
to keep a lone soul companied down the road:
		My friend, come along,
there’s no need to fight tomorrow.

But physics means nothing to the candlelight midair.
Weary as it is—

summer will die chasing summer.
