Roots of Fortitude

My
kindness
is not
niceness
but I know that
I am the truth
because I belong
to an eternally
growing and
deeply
rooted
family tree.

742 Adoration to Mary: Mother of Fortitude

Adoration to Mary:

Mother of Fortitude

Our Mother in Heaven, we adore you

Our Mother Mary – Mother of Fortitude – a Christian Virtue

Receive this adoration from your children

An adoration next to that of our Father in heaven

Oh Mama Mary, source of our Christian Fortitude

Your endurance we praise with servitude

Your fortified children will adore you forever

Glory be to you also, our Heavenly Mother.

Amen.

Premium Member A Fabric of Fortitude

I still hear the loud noise
of your quiet footsteps,
marked across unpolished,
weathered wooden floors.

Childhood suppressed expectations,
starved for genuine praise,
dwarfed by the presence
of a silence never broken.

My inner struggles suffocate,
captivated by the hidden door
latched forever
by decaying, hardened paint.

Scars of turmoil refuse to yield,
mercilessly triggered by this prison,
locked by the one key
still held by you.

A stitched fabric of fortitude—
resembling a carved brand of honor—
is the silent hero I grasp for
in moments of aching defiance.

When the weight of unimportance,
and callous neglect,
rears its ugly head,
demanding more
than my essence can endure.

Still, here I am.
Not asking for forgiveness.
Not asking for explanations.
I am letting go,
just like you did.

Fortitude

Oh God, dangers on me surround

Insecurities in me abound

But with You, I'm safe and sound

Pains and hardships I can withstand

Foes and trials I can outstand

If You lend me Thy helping hand.

Fortitude

I have a right that sometimes seems beyond reach,
And I seek a peace that often seems far away.
I wonder how much further I must journey to attain everything I desire,
And I question why I need to struggle for necessities that are rightfully mine.

When the roots go deep, the body thrives with vitality and exuberance.
But when those roots cannot find suitable ground, the body weakens and eventually fades away.
The direction of the roots determines the vibrancy of our lives.
When rights pave the way for blooming fields, liveliness follows.

Where is my right to social security?
Why am I at the edge of homelessness?
Why do I labour and can’t afford all that savours?
If I aspire to have my needs met, then where is my right to a comfortable existence?

My right is my fortitude;
It enables me to step through the door of daylight with renewed gratitude.
My rights are my emblems of hope;
They are my support and strength.

Find fortitude and strength when life gets tough
Keep going when the future's looking rough
Step back from those whose only claim to fame
Is deceitfully blackening your name.

Sadly there are those who will bring you down
Turning smiles upside down and brows to frown
They’ll get their comeuppance, yes that is true
For God knows exactly the bad they do.

He will look out for us, no matter what
Some things are certainly never forgot
So live in the peace that's truly deserved
Enjoy each moment, forget someone's curse.

Silence listens when one’s being back stabbed
One day those guilty will get their own back.

A Tribute to Mothers

She bears the weight of life in her womb
In quiet fortitude and strength in silence
Love flows from her hands, boundless, true
With every breath, she nurtures, she creates
A force of nature, shaping destinies and fates
In her heart, the universe is spun,
A mother, a warrior, whose battles are never undone
Through life's storms, through trials
She stands tall with a smile.
The beacon of resilience and of light
She gives, she grows with hands that heal
A love so deep blooms, it makes the world a home.

On International Women's Day

Some wishes must wait

Some wishes must wait all the time,
Life’s still such a bait all the time.

Grapes never go sour all the time,
Not tongues’, it’s mind’s trait all the time.

Strange, two souls under the same roof
Live a life of hate all the time.

Trust between two suffers some times,
Endurance abates all the time.

Ghazals would do well often times
If newness create all the time.

Pose not thy questions in the form of fears,
Nor render all thy answers in thy tears.

Premium Member A Candle Ever Flickers In the Night

A candle ever flickers in the night,
However far, however faint it be;
In cruelest darkness shall it burn most bright,
Until the sun shall come to set us free.

Portal Of Life

I navigate through the portal of life
Walk past the corridors
Where light and shadows play
Welcoming each twist and turn
Accepting the ups and downs
Guiding my path to my destiny
Facing life's storms
With fortitude and resilience
Crafting me into who I am
The echoes of the past
Reverberates across the hallway
Where the past and present meet

Fortitude

Keep your eyes open
To get best prompt decision
Care cut to listen.

Premium Member Sanctuary

Chaos surrounds me there is no escape
Moment of reflection is all I ask
Oasis of calm in which I am draped
Sanctuary of peace in which to bask,

Sounds of world retreat, no longer intrude
My mind at once is cleared of confusion
Heart's altar of peace spreading fortitude
Sanctuary found, no persecution.

Ancient holy place with its careworn face
Concrete floor worn smooth with penitent feet
Refuge and comfort in this ancient place
Pervasive perfume I smell "Meadowsweet."

Life's upheavals are to be expected
Heart's sanctuary, ever, protected.
