Foreshadowing all
my needs, My wants are to vague
My honor is wide
Nothing left for true reason
Insanity is my cave

Lavender roses
tossed in bright, silver sunlight
Chrysanthemum spells.
Lilies of the valley ring
just when redbirds start to sing.

Marmalade clouds roam
into pink skies of evening-
Jade cactus passion!
Moon appeared, fortunes to tell
at the moment red sun fell.

Sitting on the sofa just isn't going to get it done
Chasing your dreams may just turn out to be a whole lot of fun
Your inner thoughts might just hold the keys to your future success
A person needs to get the very best life has to offer and accept nothing less
Dreams can be a foreshadowing of what your future might hold
Listen carefully to what secrets they have, they might be about to unfold
Anything is possible if you just channel your inner desires into reality
The fear of failure should not be an option, just become what you want to be
What do you want your life journey remembered for when the curtain comes down bringing it to a close
Sometimes what we are looking for can be right under our nose
Follow your dreams wherever they may take you
You just might be pleasantly surprised that they might just come true

Foreshadowing

Crows gather.
Turtles float deeper
on the buoyant pond scum.

It's going to be a beautiful day
in Alaska.

Here,
the crows are crowding trees,
breeding shadows.

The sky looks like it wants
their black wings.

Fate; is it something near or that afar?
Is it carved in stone or written in sand?
Eternal wonder — space surrounds the star.
Cosmos; uniquely dealt to each a hand.

Dearest Mother Earth, is my father...Time?
I feel that both have connections with me—
this search for myself spent stuttering “I’m”...
Depths of both filled with reflections of me!

Fight or flight? Still; bipolar gravity—
a chain of events logic can’t equate...
Metaphysical or analogy?
Alice? Atlas? Parallel postulate!

Mysterious. Civil poor are battling.
Affluence. Civil war foreshadowing.

A Foreshadowing

I've heard it all my life: Wahoo!
"Sticks and stones may break your bones
but words will never hurt you."
It’s all in the accents and tones.

"A toodlerump! Jonathan Blasterscripp!”
yelled a classmate on the playground.
I’d slid in home on my rear, what a trip!
(At least, I was safe all the way round.)

Then when I won the spelling bee, I heard
loud whispers returning to my chair.
"Jon's a pricklesmart, a witwhit, a nerd.”
(They couldn’t spell those names on a dare.)

The restroom was the worst place to be
with a bunch of junior-high boys.
"Liptonlips done drunk too much tea.”
Or “Turdtumbler’s in there making noise!”

(Sometimes, that one fit the occasion.)
Girls were just as gross - those snotty sisters
in little cliques trying to smear or shun.
“Cankerwarf’s got new fever blisters!”

*****
In governmental circles as of late,
name-calling has become quite the trend...
Dubs like Crazy- and Crooked- clearly state
that jealousy and arrogance are at wits' end.

The crows caw at a distance,
A storm is going to rage,
A danger to existence,
The war that's going to wage;

The three witches have foretold,
Macbeth will soon become king,
Murder waits at his threshold,
Duncan must to his life cling;

With the king's blood on his mind,
And a dagger in his hand,
Macbeth sets out full inclined,
To kill Duncan as preplanned;

"Sleep no more", a voice cries out,
Foreboding his sleepless nights,
Macbeth's ambition, no doubt,
Has caused these murderous fights;

"A man not born of woman
Would kill Macbeth", they had said,
He thinks, "I'm superhuman",
And that's how he is misled;

Macbeth is now doomed to die,
The witches have foreshadowed,
His tragic ending is nigh,
Shakespeare has distinctly showed.

This decade did begin with hope;
year twenty-twenty- promise had.
We did not know its downward slope
would bring us to a time so sad.

Our country- so divided now-
the politics of clashing rules;
foreboding is the when and how-
the yes or no- if discord cools.

Foreshadowing the year ahead-
fear of a third-world war instills
deep in my heart- that awful dread;
a fight ahead of clashing wills.

Dear God, please help us at this time;
divides grows stronger, day by day.
From this dark madness, help us climb;
our sick divisions- heal, some way.

A Foreshadowing

He sees dark rubicond berries
that burst through the orange-yellow leaves;
leaves that fall in little dry flurries,
when they rustle through the early eve'.

He feels the sun, views it like a golden rose,
watches it sink its light through the trees,
alight the wings of the song sparrows,
and paint a gleam on the house's eaves.

He will know the tree as it stands stripped,
its limbs still reaching for the Harvest Sky,
as the farmer stands beneath, all betwixt,
of bared fields, of Winter's chaste light.

Historical Foreshadowing

Marring-
The once brilliant Sanctuary
-A commonplace Event-
Without a place.

An opening up
Of old and new torments
And
    Run
        On
           Thoughts

-Half Unanswered-

Stop at the border
-In semidarkness-
The edge of eternity.

Sun-Dial's Foreshadowing Time

As the day lengthens
and sun grows high,
your shadow shortens
as the day goes by,

and i think of you
in noon's repose,
and wonder where
your shadow goes.

Then there you are
on the other side,
in shadow's length
you no longer hide,

afternoon shadow
you slowly slide,
abiding once again
'til your light's revived.

One more thing I'll say
before I'm through,
I've never before met
a gnomon like you.

Foreshadowing

In the hear of a summer day
I dream of Autumn
Autumn - where leaves change color and fall to the ground
Autumn - where football season begins and
millions watch the electric warriors on TV
I remember buying pencils and a lunchbox
Now I await students as an ESL instructor
The summer wind will soon turn to a colder autumn wind
As September - and later October have their way
The waning of the years will begin
After autumn will come icy days here in New York City
The change of seasons reminds one of one's mortality
Indeed, summer will die
But after that - something glorious is coming!
